A Poll for All My Conservative Friends

The wording of this poll question is from one of my devoted readers. Have fun with it. I’ll be posting something more substantial in a day or so.

While we’re having some fun, here’s a video for you. I love the style, even if I don’t endorse the message.

Respectfully,

  1. Obama Commerce Secretary: Hey, You Know What’s a Good Idea? Using US Taxpayer Money to Pay for China’s Carbon Emissions….

(WSJ) Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said something amazingโ€”U.S. consumers should pay for part of Chinese greenhouse-gas emissions. From Reuters:

โ€œItโ€™s important that those who consume the products being made all around the world to the benefit of America โ€” and itโ€™s our own consumption activity thatโ€™s causing the emission of greenhouse gases, then quite frankly Americans need to pay for that,โ€ Commerce Secretary Gary Locke told the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

My God Dodger, how much more of thuggy stabbing us in the back can you take? How much more of your kid’s future are you willing to have thuggy ruin? When are you going to wake the hell up?

  2. Solar,

Dodger doesnt answer questions. Me? I voted that I dont trust the government to run my healthcare since everything the government runs is screwed up.

  3. Elric, why do you feel so uncomfortable with intellectual arguments. It seems natural to me that we should disincent people from consumption of products that produce excess carbon emissions anywhere in the world. That is a reasonable intellectual position to take.

  4. Bonus points because no teleprompter was used and no errrsssโ€ฆummmmssss or uuuhhhhhsss

LOL do you know what a total goofball you are sometimes? Ronnie is reading dude. Whether he’s reading from a piece of paper or a teleprompter, what difference does it make?

  5. As for Obama not having hand on heart during American anthem, that’s an old chestnut from the campaign trail and I can’t remember the backstory behind it but I do know no disrespect was intended.

Elric, c’mon, I give a post literally requested by you and this is the best you can comment on?

  6. Last time I looked, Medicare and Medicaid, while not having a rosey prognosis, are not yet bankrupt, hence choice 3 on the poll.

By the way, when is the last time your snail mail got lost? Government does a pretty damn fine job of running the US Postal Service. That example always gets overlooked when discussing what screwups the American government has.

  7. “It seems natural to me that we should disincent people from consumption of products that produce excess carbon emissions anywhere in the world”-R

So, the same guy who is playing violin over his economic plight thinks I need to pay more money for my boring ass size 38 dockers? Yet another tax on the middle class since we rely on cheap China shit.

I know, in the land of 3000 square foot houses everyone buys artisan made candles from the fricking medieval candle stick maker.

All your liberal ideas hurt me.

  8. “It seems natural to me that we should disincent people from consumption of products that produce excess carbon emissions anywhere in the world.”

    They call that fascism

“Ronnie is reading dude. Whether heโ€™s reading from a piece of paper or a teleprompter, what difference does it make?”

He used note cards, not a machine that went line by line. He also didnt say ahhh,,errr, and ummm when he didnt use them like Thuggy. Thats the difference.

“but I do know no disrespect was intended.”

Uh huh. How do you know? The anthem is playing and everyone around him puts their hand to their heart but him? You that naive or just a drone and make excuses for all his mistakes and insults?

“Government does a pretty damn fine job of running the US Postal Service.”

Thats why its going bankrupt too. Nice try and nice dodge. But I give you some credit, you actually made an attempt to answer some questions,

  9. Unbelievable. Our massive government, the one Rutherford trusts to be steward of EVERY aspect of his life, has bought 760,000 pounds of pork for twice the price at the grocery store with tarp money. 1.191 million dollars worth of pork.

You canโ€™t make this stuff up. No metaphor here. Actual pork!

If they are actually ripping us off on canned meat, just imagine the thievery, corruption and kick backs related to the elaborate spending projects.

Can you believe it? Real pork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A new report in Congress is saying that TARP could actually reach 23.7 trillion. You see, come to find out TARP wasnโ€™t a stimulus injection. No, it was used to force commitments to various programs that will suck money for decades.

This was exactly what the Rabbit knew it would be. Thievery.

The proposed healthcare plan has been point blank proven to be an unsustainable scam. Proven right on the floor of the Senate. Interesting. R wants nothing to do with that specific.

Iโ€™ll tell you one thing. Rabbit will become a wing nut if socialized health care takes my money and funds abortions. I guarantee you thatโ€™s the day I can no longer be a patriotic American. Nope, Iโ€™ll be just about all done supporting this country. Hell, there will be no need for me to even be a part of the debate anymore.

Rutherford writes a blog called specifics, drops a few supposed created jobs but feels no need to explore the long run effects of TARP. He feels no need to explore the corruption. The pork. Actual pork!!!!

You donโ€™t want specifics. Hell, I donโ€™t even think I want to know.

Sucks that the first black president will one day be laughed at or scorned for centuries to come. The man who ruined America.

  10. I didn’t vote but I will ask R about one of his comments.

By the way, when is the last time your snail mail got lost? Government does a pretty damn fine job of running the US Postal Service. That example always gets overlooked when discussing what screwups the American government has.

    I don’t know about that.
First off the post office is mandated to cover it’s costs hence service charges always go up.
It makes poor decisions and ignores a majority of it’s customers to pursue x sums of money just to assure it’s existence.(junk mail)
It uses the private sector (FedEx and UPS) to move it’s product around the country and the world.
Add to this dysfunctional employees with a history of shooting people and a pandemic of hostile work environment courtesy of management that demoralizes good employees and I’m thinking it’s not something I want to transition into saving my life. BTW I actually live in a zone that due to it being on the edge of two service sectors my local mail takes longer than a national piece and my mailman is guilty of just emptying his truck in my and my neighbors boxes. I guess it’s better than the dumpster but really.

  11. lol….i actually called the pork company up, pretending to be a writer. I have the number of the dude who is in charge of sales.

  12. lol….dude…the Dems and Obama are so screwed. No Republicans are on this sinking ship. This stuff is failing and failing quickly. The lack of transparency, opposite of a major campaign promise, is so blatant that many Democrats are admitting the real reason these unprecedented bills are being rushed. Obama screwed himself. He is screwing up so bad the the biggest cult of personality since FDR might be in a Jimmy Carter scrap heap in only 4 years.

  13. How is thuggy screwing himself? I was told he was the smartest guy on the planet. Maybe thats why he had his records sealed.

It must suck to still have to defend this guy. The honorable thing would be to admit you were duped instead of still sticking up for his sorry ass.

  14. Here is video that ought to make President Obama and the Democrats very uncomfortable. It shows Democrat Rep. Russ Carnahan of Missouri, holding a forum in St. Louis to explain President Obama’s Government Health Care Plan.

As Carnahan speaks, he is repeatedly laughed at and jeered by the crowd as he says the ObamaCare Plan will actually help reduce health care spending, and that one-half the cost can be paid for by savings the plan will produce.

At the end, one member of the audience shouts out to Carnahan, “if it’s so good, why doesn’t Congress have to be on it!”

    http://www.weaselzippers.net/blog/2009/07/video-gold-missouri-congressman-laughed-off-the-stage-as-he-presents-obamas-health-care-bill.html#comments

Yes, Dodger if its so good why isnt Congress required to be on it.

  15. Americans Are Beginning to Understand the Left By: Dennis Prager
    FrontPageMagazine.com | Tuesday, July 21, 2009

There is only one good thing about the Obama administration’s attempts to nationalize most health care and to begin to control Americans’ energy consumption through cap-and-trade: clarity about the left. These attempts are enabling more and more Americans to understand the thinking and
therefore the danger of the left.

    http://www.frontpagemag.com/readArticle.aspx?ARTID=35649

Well except for the drones, no hope for them.

  16. Rabbit,

He is screwing up so bad the the biggest cult of personality since FDR might be in a Jimmy Carter scrap heap in only 4 years.

Agreed Brother Rabbit and an astute observation. And if and when it happens, would you like me to predict exactly what will happen next? Rutherford won’t like this, but it is the truth.

Racism will be blamed for Obama’s demise. And the Obama Presidency, an indicator that race is for the most part no longer relevant in America, ironically will turn nasty and set “race relations” back 50 years. You watch…

  17. Tex,

I agree wholeheartedly. It could never occur to the 95 percent of blacks that voted for Thuggy that we oppose him because of his marxist ideology. I oppose Pelosi, does that mean I hate women or hate Mormons because I oppose Reid?

    Its the ideology stupid!

  18. Here “R”,

An idea for our next conversational topic – the obese Surgeon General. ๐Ÿ˜†

    http://abcnews.go.com/Health/story?id=8129947&page=1

However, this is one time I’m personally willing to cut President Mom Jeans some apparent slack. At least she looks ‘personable’ – and I’ll take that over some string, liberal slacker living on tree bark.

  19. My brother from the west coast just emailed me. He was an ardent Obama supporter- always talking about “change”. Well, he has fallen off the wagon and feels completely duped. He didn’t give any specifics why but I think the lack of transparency is what disappointed him the most.

How funny, we have come to a point where President Transparent is actually rushing the most important bill of the last 50 years so that we don’t have time to learn how bad it sucks. And now, anyone with a brain is looking back the last 150 days and seeing the pattern. lol!!!

  20. I like me a little thickness too Brother Rabbit – unfortunately, my wife is one of those skinny minnie types.

On vacation last week while on a white water rafting trip, I noticed that my hard bodied, long legged daughter was being ogled left and right – there were some slacker libs that were getting ready to lose their nipple rings if they did more than looked.

Our lib bitch for a rafting guide was no better as Tex about told her that she flunked customer service class. But “R” would have felt right at home with us in the Rockies with the Obama MoveOn.org bumper stickers and CoExist bumper stickers around every place. Libs are like parasites – anything pretty and living, they can find a way to ruin. At least in the river, they caught a bath on occasion.

These clowns were literally living in tents during the summer…I wanted to ask these :sophisticate” what they were going to do when they turned 50? ๐Ÿ™„

  21. Elric,

This “Cody”, our tour guide, was about 20 years old, had spent her first year out of college walking the continental divide from Mexico to Canada, which we heard non-stop for three hours. She scolded my brother-in-law for splashing the other party with us, told us numerous times to listen to her though she had laryngitis (probably from screaming at previous groups), and apparently didn’t have a clue either entertain or steer a raft as we went through half the rapids backwards. Complete moron and dangerously incompetent (like most libs).

On the bus ride home, she had a real problem with her pierced and tattooed “boyfriend” taking a liking to my oldest and proceeded to get snippy when he started ogling my daughter (who was nice enough not to rip Cody a new a**hole for her smart mouth). On their tour bus, it specifically said, “sit your asses down” in which Cody stood the entire time.

Fortunately, my daughters take after their sweet mother.

  22. Ahh yes. The Traveling Willberry Liberal. I’ve met those types numerous times myself. With a condescending vibe, they ramble on about boring their adventures which were always financed by Daddy.

It’s even funnier when they decide to join a commune. We used to visit one when I was stationed in Northern Cally for…uh…some of their merchandise on the market. It was always funny to us: Every time they would give us a lecture about how we are just pawns in a world we can’t understand. Apolitical and just wanting to get fucked up, none of us even listened to their pretentious little rants. We did get a kick out of watching the various jealousies and obvious hierarchy make their little utopia of broken down buses identical to any other society.

  23. An idea for our next conversational topic โ€“ the obese Surgeon General.

Mmmm, maybe my memory fails me but I don’t recall any uproar over C. Everett Coop. He was hardly slender. At least Tex, you seem to see this for the foolishness that it is.

  24. Mmmm, maybe my memory fails me but I donโ€™t recall any uproar over C. Everett Coop. He was hardly slender. At least Tex, you seem to see this for the foolishness that it is.

No doubt foolish – and C. Everett Koop was indeed a bear of a man. However, any other comparison must end there. C. Everett was probably the most qualified, brilliant Surgeon General ever nominated. Everyone knew him brilliant. As a reminder to the lib blogger, for instance:

While a surgeon in Philadelphia Koop performed ground breaking surgical procedures on conjoined twins, invented techniques which today are commonly used for infant surgery, and saved the lives of countless children who otherwise might have been allowed to die. He invented anesthetic and surgical techniques for small bodies and metabolisms and participated in the separation of several sets of conjoined twins whose condition other physicians at the time considered hopeless. He first gained international recognition in 1957 by the separation of two female pygopagus infants (conjoined at the buttocks)[2] and then, again, in 1974 by the separation of two ischiopagus twins (conjoined at the spine) sharing a liver, colon, and parts of the intestines with their entire trunks merged.

This little butterball appears to be the politically correct nominee that Obama favors – incompetent and conniving – probably living off the public dole of Katrina and Ray Nagin’s lover in Chocolate City. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  25. LOL only Tex could blame a tour guide’s incompetence on her being liberal.

Anyway, glad you’re back safe and sound from vacation Tex. I was actually beginning to worry about you. Don’t you know you need to tell your blogging friends before you take a leave of absence? ๐Ÿ™‚

  26. “R”,

Sorry. It was a last minute vacation as I wasn’t going to go until the day before – somebody has to care for the animals but my sister came through.

Oh, our tour guide was more liberal than you “R”. A complete lowlife, complete with bad acne and smelled like a man (you know, typical progressive woman).

Anyway, thank you friend for noticing I was gone.

  27. Tex,

Glad you are back. You are the only other voice of reason here besides myself. Glad you had a blast despite the progressobot. I might be doing some white water rafting myself in 2 weeks or so. Ill let you know if I “accidentally” push a lib out of the raft.

  28. Why Obamacare Is Sinking

    By Charles Krauthammer
    Friday, July 24, 2009

What happened to Obamacare? Rhetoric met reality. As both candidate and president, the master rhetorician could conjure a world in which he bestows upon you health-care nirvana: more coverage, less cost.

But you can’t fake it in legislation. Once you commit your fantasies to words and numbers, the Congressional Budget Office comes along and declares that the emperor has no clothes.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/23/AR2009072302723.html

    He nails it good too.

What's on your mind?
