Russia Did Not Hack the Election

If I hear this one more time on the news I’m gonna shoot my TV, Elvis style:

Russia hacked the 2016 election.

No, they did not!

Russia did not alter the voter rolls nor did they tamper with data collected from voting machines. THAT is hacking the election.

If you believe American intelligence, Russia, with Putin’s knowledge or direction, hacked the email accounts of the DNC and John Podesta, Clinton campaign chairman. These were then turned over to Julian Assange whose organization Wikileaks leaked them to the press.

Could the content of those emails have influenced voters? Certainly. That is not the fault of Assange or Putin. That is the fault of the ethically challenged writers of the original emails.

President-elect Donald Trump looks foolish denying Russian involvement but his motive is understandable. The Russian “hack of our election” is a distraction from the fact that both the Clinton campaign and the media misread the American public. They can’t accept their culpability in Trumps election so they stoop to delegitimize it.

Russia didn’t hack the election. They enabled us to look behind the curtain and see the Clinton contingent for the hot mess they really were.

What do you think? The bar is open.

  1. Also, is “unauthorized access of email” the same as “hacking”? Because some of those people gave up their passwords willingly to entities they thought were safe.

  2. “It was the Rooskies.”

Did your “Biden is running” source tell you that?

Yeah, that was a low blow, but I’m not sorry. 😀

  3. There is one way to tell Russians ain’t too bright. Their friggin flag has a white stripe on the top which blends in with any white background the flag is posted on. Hence, the seemingly two stripe image at the top of this post.

    Dumb rooskies.

  4. I could easily be teenegaers from Moldavia who sold it to Russian intel on the darknet and then the Russians gave it to WikiLeaks.

The “hacking” is of such low order who fucking cares who did it.

  5. “Did your “Biden is running” source tell you that?”

    Hey-o! cough, cough, hack, cough

Since it don’t matter none, I’m standing by the dems on this. Now they can explain why being exposed as the douchebags they are should be taken as a threat to democracy.

Oh yeah. Trump ordered the hit.

Or, perhaps it was Biden. . .

  6. Also, is “unauthorized access of email” the same as “hacking”?

Excellent point. I believe Podesta was the victim of a phishing scheme where you unknowingly give your access to a third party. That’s not a hack and I believe it can only be detected by noting the IP address of the person using your login details without permission. And IP addresses can be forged. Just ask Tex. 😀

True hacking involves gaining unauthorized access to a server typically from its administrative side, not from the user front end.

  7. From the previous thread but I wanted to make sure everyone sees it.

I’ll give Muffy credit for going beyond her usual one-liner.

I hope we hear a little less about black folks for the next 4 years.

So said 18th and 19th century racists too. I’m really not calling you a racist and I even think I know where you’re headed but your phraseology is meant to provoke, not lead to any meaningful analysis or discussion. I’d really love to see you take another go at that one without the deliberate callousness.

As for much of the rest of your piece, you, like many others here, talk as though you know the man … full of character assassination upon which you have zero evidence – just your dislike. Frankly, it’s immature and a waste of time.

But the truth is the country had a chance to elect a decent man who they knew would have done a decent job of it and they trashed him in favor of the poser they knew was sucking at the job.

No, those who chose Obama over Romney did not think Obama was a poser nor did they think Obama sucked at the job.

Character assassination is soooooo much easier than real policy discussion. Aflie’s just published a post on his blog that I’m looking forward to reading. I suspect there will be some meat there.

  8. But I would also put some down on Israel.

Now that’s interesting. What would be their motive? I always felt HRC would do a 180 from Obama on FP and be much more sympathetic to Israel than he was.

  9. “What would be their motive?”

We tried to fuck with their election and they knew Hillary is a joke who would sell them out for her/the Democrat base that is moving farther and farther left.

  10. “So said 18th and 19th century racists too. I dont give a crap if you think Im a racist. Im not trying to lead to any meaningful analysis or discussion. Not here at Flat Earth Bar & Grill. Im self-reporting.

  11. “The “hacking” is of such low order who fucking cares who did it.”

Nobody does care. Its a ploy and everyone knows it.

  12. “From the previous thread but I wanted to make sure everyone sees it.”

Everyone already saw it. Who are you trying to fool?

What was it that you wanted to make sure everyone sees?

  13. Everyone knows that hackers have been all over gov emails for years and Obama hasnt done jack.

Now that the hackers blew the cover off the Dem dregs – this means war!

  14. Im not trying to lead to any meaningful analysis or discussion.

Ah so you’re talking to hear yourself talk.

I’ll keep scrolling through my messages to see if you’ve had a change of heart and want to actually SAY something intelligent about race relations. The original comment, without further elaboration has you batting zero.

  15. Not here at Flat Earth Bar & Grill.

It’s not Poolman’s blog, it’s mine. And if you think his posts epitomize what gets discussed around here, it’s odd that you tolerate coming here at all.

  16. Everyone already saw it. Who are you trying to fool?
What was it that you wanted to make sure everyone sees?

Honest to God who put urine in your holiday egg nog?

Some folks move onto a new thread and never look back. I wanted to make sure folks saw my response to your self reporting. The smarter thing would have been to just reply here and not there. But as you know, I’m not very bright. 😜

  17. “Aflie’s just published a post on his blog that I’m looking forward to reading. I suspect there will be some meat there.”

Lol. You think you’re the only one who looks forward to reading worthier posts elsewhere? Not by a long shot.

“It’s not Poolman’s blog, it’s mine. And if you think his posts epitomize what gets discussed around here, it’s odd that you tolerate coming here at all.”

It’s becoming increasingly difficult telling you two apart.

  18. I’ve heard Russia. I’ve heard Israel. But my money is on somebody within national intelligence. I think somebody or someone got fed up with the Clinton shenanigans and corruption and spilled the beans on the entire Dimocratic apparatus – don’t forget, they nailed Obama’s sorry ass as a liar too about not knowing about the hag’s private server.

  19. “The original comment, without further elaboration has you batting zero.”

If by batting zero you mean nobody understands the sentiment as expressed – I would bet the other way.

Happy New Year to you too. 2016 will be hard to beat. Packers vs Patriots would be a nice start.

  20. If by batting zero you mean nobody understands the sentiment

As I said, even I think I understand the sentiment. I’m just curious why you chose to express it so coldly.

For example, I think you’d be quite glad to hear stories about blacks rebuilding their neighborhoods, taking crime seriously and working on job initiatives. Your comment didn’t leave room for that.

  21. Remember when Barack Obama was going to heal the planet and usher in world peace? Repair all those broken relationships BushMcChimpyHitler and Darth Cheney had destroyed? Yanked the missile shield out of Poland while the media cheered the Nobel Peace Prize Winner and heralded in the new messiah?

OBAMA SENDS FORCES TO RUSSIAN BORDER

  22. Crimea? Hit the links. Syria? Party with the Z’s. Expose the truth about his party’s nasty campaign tactics? Boots on the ground!

  23. @ Tigre – what are they doing in that picture? Launching the missile that brought down the passenger jet over the Ukraine?

  24. Well today is the long awaited and agonizing-to-organize 13th birthday party for my daughter. She hasn’t had a b-day party since she was a little kid. This has been torture. I’ll be glad when it’s over.

So good to see everyone in such good humor over Obama’s follies.

  25. She hasn’t had a b-day party since she was a little kid. This has been torture. I’ll be glad when it’s over.

You utter coward and cheapskate. Real men suffer through a kid’s miserable birthday party every year like I did for 16 years, twice. Wait until they move to the sleepover period and it really gets miserable. You might as well get a hotel room. 😛

  26. “@ Tigre – what are they doing in that picture? Launching the missile that brought down the passenger jet over the Ukraine?”

    LOL.

Maybe it was the giant “delete button” for her emails.

  27. This has been torture.

That word is no longer usable in the american vernacular.

You are rather experiencing enhanced irritation. 🙂

  28. LOL. “Nagsplaining.”

    No better than Rutherfordsplaining.

So said 18th and 19th century racists too. I’m really not calling you a racist. . . .blah, blah, blah. . . all hail Obama. . . blah, blah, blah. . . you’re a racist. . . blah, blah, blah

  29. Obama is throwing another fucking tantrum today, telling Democrats not to work with Republicans on “Trumpcare.” GOP says they want to repeal and replace with something better. But Obama doesn’t want something better. He wants to protect his legacy, whatever the cost.

Remember when sitting president, George W. Bush, instructed his party not to work with the incoming administration?

It’s ironic…Democrats locked Republicans out of the room when they were writing Obamacare, now Obama is telling them to lock themselves out of the room.

    Fucking crybaby

  30. It’s ironic…Democrats locked Republicans out of the room when they were writing Obamacare, now Obama is telling them to lock themselves out of the room.

As ironic as the sun rising in the East.

Remember….He “won” and “Elections have consequences”.

Its only slightly less pathetic than the Congressional Democrats suggesting that their counterparts had a duty to help them to “fix” the steaming shit sandwich that they forced upon us in the first place.

  31. But not the refutation of your assessment or your weak tea response to it. FAKE NEWS!!!!111!!!Eleventy!!!

Not my fault folks can’t move onto the current thread.

  32. We have so had terrorist attacks on our soil in the last eight years.

If you’re commenting on Obama’s parting comments to the troops, you’re responding out of context. He did NOT say we’ve had no terrorist attacks in the past eight years.

  33. “I judge him not anywhere near as much by what he says as by what he DOES.

Closing open air monuments which are open 24/7 because Congress doesn’t want to give him a blank check? Petty and small.

Wagging his finger in my face while contributing to racial division? Myopic and divisive.

Saying the he doesn’t know what happened, but the police acted stupidly? Janusary and Condescending.

Lecturing on “civility” while calling members of Congress who oppose him, in accord with the thinking of those who elected them, “terrorists”, and claiming that they are “holding the country hostage”? Grossly hypocritical and a betrayal of the potential he could have fulfilled as the Nation’s Second Black President.

Making major events about HIM, rather than honoring those who should be honored at those events? Epically Narcissistic and Wildly Inappropriate.

Looking for “someone’s butt to kick” rather than engaging any meaningful assistance ( al the Deepwater Horizon spill)? Childish and silly.

Declaring foreign policy “redlines”, and doing NOTHING to back his tough talk? Feckless and irresponsible.

Making us all involuntary stakeholders in an auto company by way of a “bankruptcy” than wasn’t while stiffing secured creditors in favor of his favored unsecured creditors? Refusing to enforce immigration law and preventing enforcement of the same law by a co-sovereign? Unilaterally re-writing his “signature” legislation multiple times in order to avoid the natural and unavoidable consequences of that law on his watch? Transferring BILLIONS of dollars to Iran in blatant violation of the law? Arbitrary, capricious, and lawless.

By every metric that can be measured beyond the “feels” of those airheaded enough to excuse every failure based on the belief of the perpetrator’s “good intentions”, Obama has been a crushing failure, R. And he still believes in his demi-divine “gift” to this country.

To call it the Audacity of a Dope (and his retinue of loopy retainers) would be too damn generous.

You laud the election of a black man. I cannot accept the notion that his skin color can in anyway excuse the complete unfitness for the job he demonstrated at every single turn. He is the living, breathing example of why identity politics is toxic, and why all iterations of “affirmative action” (now “diversity”) need to be ended and merit reinstated as a civic aspiration.”

  34. It’s one advantage of being po.

Po and driving nicer cars than I am. {snicker} Did I ever tell you the difference between a porcupine and a Bimmer owner?

With a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside. 🙂

  35. “But not the refutation of your assessment or your weak tea response to it. FAKE NEWS!!!!111!!!Eleventy!!!”

That’s because you’ve been Rutherfordspalined, Bitch!

  36. “He did NOT say we’ve had no terrorist attacks in the past eight years.” -Rutherford

“No foreign terrorist organization successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland these past eight years.” -Lyin’ Barack

  37. Rutherford…do you remember long before Trump won the nomination..we were discussing the next administration using Obama’s EO precedences to kill Obamacare through non-enforcement of the mandates? I even used “President Trump” as the example.

    Do you remember that?

  38. Po and driving nicer cars than I am.

Tex, it’s a terrible thing to acknowledge but my dads death gave my family about a two year lifeline – clunkers replaced, debts paid off and living expenses paid for about two years.

I’m not proud I NEEDED that money rather than putting it all toward retirement. My only consolation is I know he’d be glad the money was helpful. He offered me loans all the time which I refused.

  39. successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland these past eight years.” -Lyin’ Barack

No lie unless you know something I don’t.

If I’m not mistaken, every terrorist act of the past 8 years (not coming CLOSE to 3,000+ people killed) was done by a US resident/citizen and none directly linked to orders from al Qaeda, ISIL, etc.

  40. @R – That’s just plain dishonest. Same shit as the 2012 campaign BS al quesadilla is decimated.

I’m leaving that autocorrect. It makes about as much sense as you do.

  41. What a crock of fucking shit.

Nidal Hasan was in direct contact with Anwar al-Awlaki. Direct contact fucking contact with one of the highest ranking members of All Queda.

The liar administration tried to play it off as work place violence tied to the housing collapse. Oh, how I hate those liars. Hate them.

Tsarnaev was such an international piece of shit, Russia warned the FBI!

Other murderous stink beards all had not so mysterious trips overseas.

Oh, make no mistake about it. Obama was always way more worried about hiding the nature of terrorist attacks, whether it be bull shit about a in the closet homo, a YouTube video or, as mentioned….Work place violence.

Obama spins terrorist attacks. That’s what I think of when I think of attack and Obama in the same sentence. SPIN. What an asshole.

  42. FWIW there is a difference between being radicalized and participating in a well planned conspiracy to murder 3000 people. For any of you to find Obama anywhere near something as catastrophic as 9/11 shows how deluded you are.

I submit for every Nidal there were ten others who got stopped. I could be wrong.

  43. Tex, it’s a terrible thing to acknowledge but my dads death gave my family about a two year lifeline – clunkers replaced, debts paid off and living expenses paid for about two years.

You tickle me, Rutherford. This is the side of Rutherford I still like. And it demonstrates how little you understand what really motivates me or how I think, though you think you understand me. You’ve got me ass backwards in about all things.

This was one of your smarter moves in the time I’ve known you. And power to your father. He went out the right way. None of us know what tomorrow holds. But the one thing each of us can do to help control the unknown is to payoff our debts, telling me in a pinch, you don’t stay stuck on stupid like you do with respect to Barack. 😉 And though I wouldn’t have bought a BMW and instead would have bought a Honda Accord or something, I don’t begrudge you a new car. You’ve worked as hard as the rest of us.

And right now, my wife and I should be doing the same thing and would if we had some inheritance in the near future. Don’t see that and am grateful our parents are just self-supporting in monetary needs. Since the kids went to school, we’ve been borrowing against the house that had no mortgage as a line of credit so we don’t have to sell stocks and bonds, and pay penalty or capital gains. Huge expenses lately, including having to pay for weddings and new cars unexpectedly.

I told my own my own mom the other day, I have never been so rich on paper and felt so poor in the pocketbook. Hell today, I had to spend $300 in dog heartworm medication. Tell me. Why did I go to medical school again?

You’re not the only one here who has done some really ignorant things.

  44. Why did I go to medical school again?

You wanted to be a doctor and despite your age, told everyone to suck it. That’s my style. Defy expectations. And yes I’ve razzed you about it in the heat of battle but it was a move right out of the 20-something Lawson playbook.

  45. Rutherford, there is no “relatively speaking” when it comes to the loss of hundreds of lives. That you want to try and minimize things because it’s not 3000 is pretty weak.

You know damn well Obama chose his words carefully because to word it any other way would be bullshit. Quit trying to defend it.

There were multiple terrorist attacks in this country during the last 8 years. You know that.

  46. I should add my wife and I did save for the kid’s higher education. I blew through over $200K in four years paying my younger’s private education, including the sorority, the car, the blah blah blah. My eldest daughter went cheap because she had all kinds of awards in undergrad, but even with a free medical school education and some stipend for expenses, still accumulated over $120K in debt just living in Houston, TX. And we were paying for insurance, cars, etc… My wife wants to pay for that debt as well. You may beat in the net worth department before it is through. 😆

  47. You want to hear poor? Between my wife and I, we had over $4K in airline expenses since Thanksgiving. Two residents and a baby and they are living paycheck to paycheck.

I honestly don’t know how people are doing it anymore with 4-5 kids.

  48. You know damn well Obama chose his words carefully because to word it any other way would be bullshit.

That’s an entirely different argument. You’re acknowledging that what he said, the way he said it, was NOT bullshit. Which makes what Muffy said … bullshit.

  49. If that’s what you want as your big victory, then congratulations.

But it doesn’t change the fact that hundreds of Americans have died on American soil due to Islamic terrorism on Obama’s. As someone who had some of that happen within 10 miles of me, I can assure you that “Obama is keeping us safe” wasn’t what I was thinking.

  50. “Can you imagine the MSM if the roles were reversed.”

We don’t have to imagine. That asswipe who staged his own removal from an airplane got more attention than this is.

  51. “Unlike BushMcChimpyHitler, Barack actually did keep us safe – relatively speaking.”

Oh what a tangled web we weave
When first we practice to deceive.

  52. As someone who had some of that happen within 10 miles of me, I can assure you that “Obama is keeping us safe” wasn’t what I was thinking.

Huck you know “I was impacted” doesn’t hold water in this discussion. To your credit, you haven’t been running around parroting the ludicrous “Bush kept us safe” meme.

Until radical Islamic ideology is defeated, none of us should feel safe. And until that time every POTUS will be judged relative to other POTUS.

The FACT is a series of self-radicalized lone gunmen, most American citizens, committed these crimes and any attempt to make them “Obama’s 9/11” is a false equivalency of massive proportions.

P.S. Yes, before Rabbit goes there, I can count … the Tsarnaev brothers count as two, not one.

  53. “Huck you know “I was impacted” doesn’t hold water in this discussion.”

Sure it does. You brought up the term “relative” as applied to safety. “Unlike BushMcChimpyHitler, Barack actually did keep us safe – relatively speaking.”

If “I was impacted” doesn’t matter then I can just as easily discount 3000 deaths that happened hundreds of miles from me because I wasn’t impacted.

Bush kept me perfectly safe–relatively speaking. Obama didn’t.

Word selection might have saved Obama’s argument, but it ruined yours.

  54. Bush kept us safe for about 2919 days (8 years minus 1 day).

How many days did Obama keep us safe—relatively speaking?

Or does time not hold water in this discussion either?

  55. I watched the video Muffy posted and all I hear is some old news about shutdowns and spending bills. Did something happen with the video?

  56. Obama’s statement was rhetorically proximate to pure bullshit again. And Rutherford’s defense of it predictable. The pitiful weasel words really count.

Next Trayvon, Ferguson, Baltimore, cop getting gunned down in car, beatings at BLM protest etc., we can all thank Obama for how safe he kept us. The people of Chicago are thrilled.

  57. Just read about the poor mentally challenged kid that was abducted and given the Obama-fueled safety treatment. I wonder where all of that came from. Thanks Dems!! Thanks Obama!!! Safety!

Well, time to bone up on all of the white supremacist deplorable Trump supporters and their violence. Among all of the media lies and hoaxes there ought to be one in there.

  58. Like I said before. If Bush was responsible for 9/11, then FDR was responsible for Pearl Harbor and history should condemn the New Works Deal President. And if you read the history, the Pearl Harbor tragedy was much more egregious in that not only was their warning, but the limitations of technology gave ample time to defend. This wasn’t 19 strangers – this was an entire Armada.

Of course, nobody in their right mind blamed FDR for the deaths. We went to destroy Japan for their sins and did so. America were smarter people back then.

It was only after 9/11 that a national tragedy became a President’s fault for political expediency. This is not FDRs party these days who were still patriotic Americans believing in the ideals of America, of which most Dimocrats today are not and gave George Bush no support once they determined their own cowardly asses were safe. That can never be forgiven or forgotten until they are dead and to this day, why I made it my own personal mission as payback toward the SOBs and Pink Bitches who gave us Barack Obama. You’re damn right I loathe Barack Obama and have from the start. He’s a small, petulant weasel who has well earned to be treated with utter contempt which will continue until that charlatan has also passed – a grossly incompetent, thin skinned goon who will not bow out gracefully as his predecessor did.

You ask me, Barack Obama operates as Bill Clinton concerning radical Islam. Obama’s cowardice and stupidity has endangered all of us – at a future date. What is happening to Europe will happen to America at the hands of an ignorant and malignant narcissist. And if a Republican is President when it happens, history will repeat itself.

  59. And if you read the history,

If you are reading the official version, ie: school textbooks, you are being misled. It turns out to be ALL LIES.

  60. Just read about the poor mentally challenged kid that was abducted and given the Obama-fueled safety treatment. I wonder where all of that came from. Thanks Dems!! Thanks Obama!!! Safety!

This story hits me waaaaaayyyyyy too close to home.

I read it last night, and I looked at my youngest son, and considered the fact that if it were him, these little savages would be unwittingly grateful for the protection of police custody.

If you don’t know kids like this, the best way I can describe it is like having the most innocent soul you can think of in your immediate orbit. I’ve had some really, really dark stuff I’ve had to deal with over the last 11 months, and his unquestioning trust and unconditional love has been a shining beacon in my life. His optimism has kept hope alive at moments when it would have otherwise been strangled in the dark, and he makes me smile even when I have little or nothing to smile about.

When I think about the degree of evil that it takes to premeditate something like this, to take advantage of the kind of trust that a person like this is capable of, and then to inflict suffering like that on someone who is incapable of fathoming the kind of hatred that could do this without a flicker of remorse or a second thought, I can feel that toggle switch in the back of my head start to pull.

I will never be supportive of “hate crimes” legislation. I maintain that the idea that a crime is more criminal based on the identity of the victim is truly a stupid concept, as it undermines the basic premise of equality under the law. That said, listening to the prevarication of the police chief and the chattering classes this morning as they twisted themselves into knots to say that this somehow doesn’t qualify as a “hate crime”, despite the fact that Helen Keller could see the motives made me want to strangle them with their own tongues.

  61. I’m with you BIC.

This is the last straw in calling Chicago home. The discussion just got a violent shove into preparations.

  62. Well said, BIC. Though not nearly as close to home as you, I too have a young man I befriended in the neighborhood for several years now, 220lbs of young man with a seven year old’s mind, whose sweetness is beyond measure. They see the world differently that we do – something almost heavenly about their demeanor.

And like you I think this idiot ‘hate crimes’ pap is so ignorant to be laughable. But to watch these black assholes twist themselves in knots with their double standards yesterday trying to walk the line made me puke.

Tell you something. And this is the truth. Were that my son whom were abused that way, and these thugs weren’t slammed into prison for the rest of their miserable lives, I believe my heart would lead me to seeking justice the old fashioned way – and medieval to boot.

  63. This is the product of the devil’s handmaiden, identity politics. It makes people hate people they don’t know and excuse their own conduct based on identity. It may be the most destructive force known to any society. It is the foundation of injustice. It is also the hallmark, if not the very definition, of modern liberalism. No one is safer because of it.

  64. Tex, you nearly quoted me verbatim. I would get mideivle even if it weren’t my own.

And what I hate is you have to work to not hate others that had nothing to do with it either ( see e.g. comment above).

  65. I have to take the middle road on “safe”. I agree Obamas statement was intentionally crafted to deceive and spin his record. On the flip side though folks who deride the record are the same type of folks who got deeply Libertarian during the metro- Boston manhunt stasi style.

  66. Rutherford, if you want to count those other events as terrorist attacks, I’m all for it.

But last I heard from you and Obama we are discussing attacks that meet certain criteria.

So how about you 2 get together and discuss the rules and then inform the rest of us so we can all play along together.

  67. Blacks do things like that to whites all the time. Racial motivated attacks on whites is one of the most under reported crimes in America.

  68. “I have to take the middle road on “safe”. I agree Obamas statement was intentionally crafted to deceive and spin his record. On the flip side though folks who deride the record are the same type of folks who got deeply Libertarian during the metro- Boston manhunt stasi style.”

Obama’s statement was exactly as you say and so too was Rutherford’s predictable defense. There is no flip side. If Obama had kept us safe he wouldn’t need to deceive to convince us of that.

Most of the Paris attackers were Belgian and French citizens too, some born there, some not. Would you let your kid go to Paris without you? I wouldn’t.

  69. @ ET there is hope that one domestic move by Trump will be the reversal of Obamas race based anti-suspension /detention witch hunt and free pass program regards school discipline.
A number of very blue school districts are ramping up stats that shows Obama DOJ and DOE policies have been very detrimental in the schools. There is further movemt afoot linking the soft on thugs in school to violence on the streets.

  70. “On the flip side though folks who deride the record are the same type of folks who got deeply Libertarian during the metro- Boston manhunt stasi style.”

Alfie, I hate when you do this. There’s no need to take a “middle road” or accept an “Obama pail” to appear objective. The “record” being derided is Obama’s bullshit spin. Rutherford’s defense of the bullshit is just more bullshit. The flip side/deeply libertarian manhunters came from those that deride AND defend Obama’s record because they got caught up in the moment. Obama’s bullshit spin is still bullshit regardless.

  71. Alfie, I am hoping, perhaps futily, that the change in rhetoric and the politics of race baiting alone will help. I believe there’s a true irony in the left’s accusations and reactions to the Trump victory that might become more apparent once the hustle loses steam.

  72. The “record” being derided is Obama’s bullshit spin

    Ok I get that now.
I was originally reading it & concerned about the double edge dilemma any POTUS faces regards domestic security. I’m also generally concerned about citizens accepting bad policy in pursuit of safety.

  73. I imagine Rabbit has seen the effects of the policies and has serious WTF moments secondary his penal system work experience.
I hope something changes since I know first hand race relations only simmer for so long before it gets big ugly and out of control.

  74. Next Trayvon, Ferguson, Baltimore, cop getting gunned down in car, beatings at BLM protest etc., we can all thank Obama for how safe he kept us. The people of Chicago are thrilled.

You’re kidding right? You go from terrorism to race relations and don’t even notice you’re talking apples and oranges? Are you deflecting to avoid losing the point or are you that much of a do-do?

  75. @Huck – that video yesterday was a clipboard hanger. It was supposed to be the bullshit speech.

“Rutherford, if you want to count those other events as terrorist attacks, I’m all for it.”

Trust me, he doesn’t. That list is staggering.

  76. What is staggering is that 97 percent involve FBI’s patsies. That is the court record. But hey, fake news is louder and agrees with your feefees.

  77. It is also staggering that no one here recognizes the domestic enemies of liberty by their abc lapel pins. They were here way before bobo and double u too.

  78. I have a pocket knife addiction.

If I have more than 4 beers I give my knife away to who ever I’m drinking with just so I can buy another one.

CKRTs are my favorite. Cool knives for under 50.

  79. “You’re kidding right? You go from terrorism to race relations and don’t even notice you’re talking apples and oranges? Are you deflecting to avoid losing the point or are you that much of a do-do?”

    What point am I losing?

  80. If Bush was responsible for 9/11, then FDR was responsible for Pearl Harbor and history should condemn the New Works Deal President.

By some accounts, FDR knew full well we were vulnerable and wanted the attack to happen so we’d have sufficient provocation to enter a war we otherwise had no interest in. If that is true, FDR is far more culpable than Bush ever was.

  81. This is the last straw in calling Chicago home. The discussion just got a violent shove into preparations.

Sometimes Muffy is as cryptic as Alfie. Was that your odd way of saying you’re moving?

May I suggest a destination? Perhaps Alabama or Mississippi? You know, a state where you won’t have to hear so much about the concerns of black people. 😀

Or better yet … Vermont where there are no black people. 😉

  82. I haven’t read this story you guys are discussing nor would I want to. I don’t need my blood pressure raised. There is something especially vile about someone taking advantage of another with a serious physical or mental incapacity and for VERY obvious reasons I take it VERY personally.

  83. Those others on that list were all lone wolves. You and Obama have already discounted those.

I discounted them in light of 9/11. 9/11 does indeed make the two admins records incomparable.

However your comment suggested Bush had only one bad day. He didn’t.

  84. I hope something changes since I know first hand race relations only simmer for so long before it gets big ugly and out of control.

It hasn’t already gotten ugly and out of control? I think 2015 and 2016 contradict you.

  85. What point am I losing?

That Obamas statement as stated was correct. And even if you won’t concede that, you must concede he wasn’t talking about race related crime/violence. You moved the goal post in a way that defies logic.

  86. The Obama evaluation won’t be coming for another two weeks. If I write the damn thing this weekend, Huck may get nuked by Kim Jong um next week and my evaluation will be for shit.

(“Your evaluation will be for shit anyway.” – Muffy, Tigre, Tex, Huck and BiC)

  87. “However your comment suggested Bush had only one bad day. He didn’t.”

And your comments suggest Obama didn’t have any–relatively speaking

  88. “That Obamas statement as stated was correct. And even if you won’t concede that, you must concede he wasn’t talking about race related crime/violence. You moved the goal post in a way that defies logic.”

    Wow you’re dumb.

  89. Wow you’re dumb.

Wow, that was smart. You’re a genius.

Look, Vinny, NO ONE, not Obama, not me or even Huck was talking about Ferguson or Chicago. Your comment took the thing to an entirely unrelated place. That makes YOU dumb, not me.

  90. “Would you let your kid go to Orlando without you? I think you would.”

The point of course is that the nature of the terrorist attacks on US soil are the same as the Paris attacks. Whats the difference? Certainly not the enemy and certainly not this president. That women and children can still travel freely in this country is not to Obama’s credit. This presidents response to radical Islamic terrorist attacks is to spin. This presidents legacy is spin.

The difference between the Nice attack and Ohio State is a cop with a gun, not Lyin Barack. Dumbass liberal academics and dumber student protesters still demonized the cop.

Obama covers for radical Islam. He lectures Christians following mass beheadings at the hands of radical Islam. He lectures Americans on compassion for migrants when his first order of business as president was to reinstate lifetime secret service protection for himself. He safe.

Radical Islam is ISIS is a foreign terrorist organization. Word games and quibbling over core al quesadilla vs ISIS vs ISIL vs homegrown vs lone wolf vs self-radicalized is bullshit Obamaspeak. That is, deceptive. Every time TFG opens his mouth he releases fresh deception. He reeks of it.

  91. Well, I’ve been avoiding the story but it looks like it’s being covered on Hardball.

I’m thinking it must delight most of you that FINALLY blacks are being charged with a hate crime.

By the way, I share the opposition to the notion of a hate crime – in most cases that phrase is a redundancy.

  92. “May I suggest a destination? Perhaps Alabama or Mississippi? You know, a state where you won’t have to hear so much about the concerns of black people.

Or better yet … Vermont where there are no black people.”

Oh ok. I see how it is. Youre going to be a little bitch. Allow me to retort.

You and poolman – your mental equal – are a little ripe with deceit yourselves. Deceived, dishonest dunces consistently and passionately denying reality. Vigorously defending lies. Your child king is his flat earth. XOXOX

  93. Youre going to be a little bitch.

LOL, not at all. You may or may not believe it but I gave you an opening to intelligently elaborate on your somewhat coarse racial observation of the other day and you declined. I was just addressing you by the tone you were content to leave on the table.

As for my feelings about Obama vs Poolman’s belief in flat earth, I’ll give you credit for rhetorical flourish and not take you literally. 😊

  94. I find it so amusing that when Republicans hear that most scientists agree on climate change, they say pffft yet we are supposed to believe that Russians tried to interfere with the election because the intelligence community unanimously says so.

I guess appeals to authority are only used selectively.

I give Rand Paul credit for not totally throwing Trump under the bus on this.

  95. Considering Barack Obama speaks out on local incidents whenever he sees fit, he needs to publicly address this Chicago crime and not leave it to his press secretary, Josh Earnest.

    Major fail.

  96. We’ve been indoctrinated since birth into this globe theory. The term ‘Flat earther’ has always been a derogatory for my lifetime. And for my parents. Obama has even used it in speeches at least 4 times.

What those in power collectively ridicule and demonize anything with such vigor, I’ve come to know they fear it. I know they are all deceivers and that would be the greatest of all deceptions. They are the inventors of fake news. This plane is ruled by the greatest of deceivers.

The cool thing is the Word is true and in this instance knowable using ones given senses.

  97. Poolman you said in a recent comment that you’re new to the flat earth movement. Have you checked the chlorine level in the pool water you use lately? Maybe you’ve been inhaling too many fumes?

  98. I heard the newly selected pres wants to go to congress for his border wall. This guy told you the Mexicans were going to pay for it.

When do his lies count as lies? Can we start the list? Does it go retroactive?

This guy has flip-flopped much in the past mostly siding with liberals. He’s pretty good at profiting through the bankruptcies he’s been involved in, which isn’t very comforting to me.

  99. Poolman, what gives me strength in these last two weeks of Obama-bashing is the knowledge that for the next four years I will throw Trump in the face of every fool on this blog who voted for him in the primary, turning most of the remaining patrons into the fools who voted for him in the general.

Coin flip. Possibly the most dangerous coin flip in the history of the United States.

  100. @Alfie

“There is hope that one domestic move by Trump will be the reversal of Obamas race based anti-suspension /detention witch hunt and free pass program regards school discipline.”

I read a distressing article about the schools in Seattle with regard to this. On what is the hope based?

How can anyone support this administrations’ shenanigans? (rhetorical question).

The hope question is not rhetorical though. Do you know something?

  101. you said in a recent comment that you’re new to the flat earth movement.

I am fully convinced of it now for about 2 months. I guess I always knew. A splinter in my mind thing. I have been a total outdoors person all my life. I watch the sky and always have.

I also know much about the properties of water. There is no curved water. Anywhere. It always seeks level. No architect, engineer, or builder EVER considers surface curvature. Never. No matter how large the structure or vessel.

You’re a math person. Math requires it to be noticeable. Math doesn’t lie.

  102. Coin flip. Possibly the most dangerous coin flip in the history of the United States.

You’re right there. Especially knowing who mints the coin.

  103. Poolman others, particularly Muffy, will berate me for engaging you but you raise SOME interesting questions that DON’T turn me into a flat earther but DO reveal to me my ignorance of physics.

For example, water in a lake doesn’t make your observation resonate (negligible earth curvature in that small an area). But when one thinks about the ocean, then I honestly can’t explain water surface conformance to Earth curvature. That doesn’t help your case. It just confirms my ignorance.

But the one thing I am getting out of your foolishness is a new appreciation for physical matters I have taken for granted.

  104. If you look at bobo’s presidency as to how it relates to a globalist (nwo) agenda, he was quite successful. Of course that puts him on the wrong side of freedom, just like his predecessor, ie: Patriot Act and illegal wars.

  105. Any follower of a Creator God that believes unquestionably in science’s heliocentric earth model (a still unproven THEORY) over the MANY Biblical truths that have and are being proved is no friend of truth. We are tasked to use discernment and seek truth. The god of this world is also known as the father of lies. He has many advocates and followers and controls all the governments. Friendship with the world means enmity toward God, as written in James chapter 4. So, I really don’t mind when the worldly consider me a fool. The apostle Paul considered it a badge of honor.

Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours, ~ 1 Corinthians 3:18-21

As far as the earthly plane is concerned, mrs poolman said it can be both flat and a ball and that we project our own reality. Like a hologram. There is SOME validity to that, but physics is still provable science. It proves the ‘magic glue’ called ‘gravity’ a lie. The law of density explains why things rise and fall in our plane of existence. The law of magnetism explains attraction and deflection.

  106. “I’m thinking it must delight most of you that FINALLY blacks are being charged with a hate crime”

Hate crimes are bull shit. Notice the language. The left is hinting that it if it has to be a hate crime, its the disability that makes it so. White lives don’t matter.

They tied him up and tortured him because he was white. His disability only made it easier to do so, but wasn’t the motivation. And just like thugs, the libs are now the ones taking advantage of his disability in order to squirm out of yet another box of their own hypocrisy.

  107. *I also know much about the properties of water. There is no curved water. Anywhere. It always seeks level. No architect, engineer, or builder EVER considers surface curvature. Never. No matter how large the structure or vessel.

You’re a math person. Math requires it to be noticeable. Math doesn’t lie.*

Non-euclidian geometry. You might want to look into it.

  108. From R’s NYPost link:

“What we have seen as surfacing, I think, are a lot of problems that have been there a long time — whether it’s tensions between police and communities [or] hate crimes of the despicable sort that have just now recently surfaced on Facebook,” he said of the video, which showed four black teens repeatedly assaulting a mentally disabled white man.

Oblather doing what he does best…deflecting from the real issue, which is the destruction of the black family by government “help”, leading to the feralizing of urban society.

Also, the reporting is for shit. One of the four “teen” offenders was 24, which by any reasonable English definition is not a “teen”. The other three were each 18, as is their victim, who inexplicably is being portrayed as a “man”. One of these savages was the victim’s classmate, and apparently, this was used in order to be able to kidnap the vicitm in the first place.

  109. And just like thugs, the libs are now the ones taking advantage of his disability in order to squirm out of yet another box of their own hypocrisy.

I’ve got no argument against this and in fact your notion that lib media is exploiting the kids disability to avoid the racial angle seems fair …. and pretty despicable.

  110. (blinks)
    (blinks again)
    (blinks one more time)
    Are you for real, esse?

I’m not sure if you agree or think I stated it incorrectly.

Just to be clear, the inconvenience to Skip Gates, however racially humiliating it might have been, is NOTHING compared to what that boy went through.

  111. “Oblather doing what he does best…

Hard to believe that he can be worse off the cuff than reading fiction hack Ben Rhodes’ screed, but he is. And unsurprisingly he stammers another absolution about “things like this” same as his “no attacks of terror will shake our resolve” while he blamed a video like the terrorists were the aggreived party in the attack on the Libyan consulate.

    Obama is an illusion.

  112. BiC I heard one of the assailants described as his “friend”. He was tricked into thinking he was going to a sleepover.

Your suggestion that Obama should tie this incident to the failure of lib politics is of course absurd. He’s not going to call his cure, poison.

What greatly disappoints is his long-ass sociological lecture. Back in 2009, the cops were stupid. No dissertation on the long history of cops seeing black folk break into houses. So why didn’t he just say “I strongly condemn this act of depravity and I expect justice to be done.” That’s all he needed to say.

  113. I wanted to puke when I heard liberal superintelligents decrying republicans “politicizing” the attack of the swamp creatures screaming “Fuck Trump” at a terrified special needs innocent.

  114. Muffy you and I agree on just about nothing but we are about equality disgusted by lib behavior of late. Where I know we disagree is on the “of late” part. You think liberalism was always broken. I think it broke within the past eight years.

By the way, just in case anyone doubts the racial motivation of the abuse, the topic is trending on Twitter as #BLMKidnapping

  115. There is no curved water. Anywhere.

Good grief. Is this idiocy still going on. Here’s a test. Go get yourself a glass.

Fill it very slowly with water until it reaches the top to the overflow. Add just a few more drips. See a bubble forming at the top with a curvature?

Surface tension overcoming the effects of gravity to a point – something called hydrogen bonding. Try it with something like mercury and you’ll notice concave instead of convex at the top of the cup. That too is a curve because there is greater density to the mercury.

I’m embarrassed to share bars with that kind of scientific dummitude. Leave the science to the people with a rudimentary understanding of it.

  116. Rutherford in keeping with the post theme the discussion on the intelligence community and the US hypocrisy regards free and fair elections is awesome.
On the race point when more people decide there needs to be a greater response to things like #blm sideshows and knockout games THEN there is something to see. Essentially blacks are still ignored and most whites don’t have dealings or concerns of them other than stories and stereotypes.

  117. Re: moving away from blackie.

Actually Ive been holding out on moving away from this progressive hell hole. The benefits of a lively culture of theatre, art, and social institutions no longer outweigh the dark side of the experience. Absolutely no pun intended.

Chicago is a harsh hub in a prog-oppressive state. As such it’s prohibitively expensive. As such gangs of grown lost children have reverse-institutionalized the streets. As such freedoms (like walking to school or in my case home from work) are shrinking as rival territories are sprawling. And as such survival in the city is beginning to look a lot like survival in prison.

The facebook frankensteins tormenting that special needs boy weren’t born that way, but they were born into it. Progressive political policing is directly (though not wholly) responsible for 762 murders last year in this town. Look into the new rules for the cops. The paperwork involved in every single encounter including “whatchya doing there bud?” is excessive. Its designed to discourage engagement. Its so wrongheaded its stupefying. We need community policing disengaged from politics!

    Ugh. Its maddening.

Black children are taught from birth that their lives dont matter, and thats why they embrace with fervor the concept that they do matter when they hear it. Why Soros and the D-pols embrace the concept is an entirely different story.

The DoE and the DoJ is cultivating a color-hypersensitive bi-level discipline system in the schools. They promise equal opportunities will bloom in Spring but I fear that theyre raising the expectations of kids wholly incapable of learning and of coping with life at all. If you cant learn – you cant live. If you cant live I think its a matter of survival – of self-preservation – to begin to devalue life itself. To begin to internalize that your life doesnt matter and from there to express – usually violently – than nobody elses’ does.

Chicago doesnt feel like my kind of town anymore. Its been a great run but a new and different adventure is in order

  118. Where I know we disagree is on the “of late” part. You think liberalism was always broken. I think it broke within the past eight years.

No. In the last 8 years, it quit pretending to be something it isn’t. The Left didn’t think it needed to maintain the facade anymore.

  119. Rutherford in keeping with the post theme the discussion on the intelligence community and the US hypocrisy regards free and fair elections is awesome.

I’ve been listening carefully to the language used, especially Clapper’s allegation that the Russians were spreading “propaganda”. It dovetails nicely into the whole “fake news” meme, and I wouldn’t be surprised if certain parties believe that this could be reliable segway into establishing the “Truth Squads” that rightly got them negative scrutiny in the 2008 Presidential Elections. After all, the American Public is proving to be resilient with regard to their hamfisted attempts at pursuasion, so a foreign provocation might be a better way to obtain those nifty expanded police powers they’ve always wanted.

  120. Leave the science to the people with a rudimentary understanding of it.

Tex I can only speak for myself. I was never a fan of physics and forgot 90% of what I learned in high school and avoided it like the plague in college. Weren’t you an engineer once upon a time?

So as I said to Poolman while he won’t turn me into a flat earther, I can’t answer his questions.

  121. Re: moving away from blackie. …

Muffy, I know you don’t care what I think but thank you for the thorough analysis. I knew “let’s hear less about black people in 2017” was not you and I was trying to get you to be more communicative of what you meant.

You live this day in and day out. Your perspective is more real than Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow.

I have only one question for you. Do you consider the situation hopeless?

  122. “The Left didn’t think it needed to maintain the facade anymore.”

You can thank the hubris of Obama for that. They didn’t care if their lies only had a shelf life of 24 hours. I couldn’t believe how little they valued political capital. Lie, lie lie.

Mock the public when they fall for lies. Lie some more.

    Obama’s narcissism destroyed the party.

The consequences are massive. Not since the 20’s has the Democratic Party been so weak. A thousand state seats lost. House lost. Senate lost. Governorship after Governorship lost. And Donald Trump beat the Clinton Machine.

  123. Do you consider the situation hopeless?

Nothing that can’t be cured by backing off and nuking from orbit (even if Poolman doesn’t think it possible).

You have multiple generations destroyed by a political party buying votes with taxpayer money and calling it charity. Barring an act of God, that doesn’t get fixed…at least not for the current victims.

  124. I couldn’t believe how little they valued political capital.

I’m not sure I get your point. It was political capital that allowed them to lie. Folks were invested in them.

Trump has the same capital. “I could shoot someone in Times Square and not lose any followers.” Trump is taking “confident lying” to a whole new level.

  125. BiC (and Alfie): what I don’t get is this – US intelligence crosses administrations; they are nonpartisan. What’s in it for them to further the anti-Russian propaganda of a “hacked election”?

  126. Non-euclidian geometry. You might want to look into it.

ASSUMES the earth is a sphere and we live in a spherical universe.

  127. “It was political capital that allowed them to lie. Folks were invested in them.”

You were. Your TV friends too. But not nearly as many as they thought. See my point of hubris.

  128. Q: What’s in it for them to further the anti-Russian propaganda of a “hacked election”?
    A: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$&$$$$&$$$$$$&$$$$$$&some more $$$$$$$$$$

  129. Good grief. Is this idiocy still going on. Here’s a test. Go get yourself a glass.

Why are you asking me to test the cohesive property of water when I am asking about its resting condition? Good grief is right.

  130. What’s in it for them to further the anti-Russian propaganda of a “hacked election”?

They need a world war to further the nwo agenda. The threat level has to be increased on both sides to produce the fear needed in people in order to instigate it. Right now there’s a drive in the wings to fulfill revelation’s script and prepare us for their coming savior.

  131. @ Muffy Boston has some of those ills in common. You either pay out your ass and live somewhere that is really nice and connected, pay out your ass and curse your lot in life, or live in one of the pockets of utter shit and still be spending way too much.
The neighboring communities are no better. You either have an affordable but less desirable address or you live in one of the fortre$$ communities like Brookline,Newton or Dedham.

  132. BiC (and Alfie): what I don’t get is this – US intelligence crosses administrations; they are nonpartisan. What’s in it for them to further the anti-Russian propaganda of a “hacked election”?

The agency heads are all political appointees, R. And even as a Dem appointee, Clapper is an odd duck. Keep in mind that some of these very same agencies have been victims of top-down directives that are more interested in serving political correctness than they are in truth. I’m thinking of the FBI directives that go out of their way to NOT look at muslims and islam in terrorist attacks and such. I know they aren’t the only agency to face this kind of tampering. It’s also worth noting that some of these appointees hope and expect to be appointed to other positions in future administrations…one of Trump’s nominees (her name escapes me at the moment) is just such a person. While appointment isn’t necessarily an indicator that the appointee may be willing to inject their bosses’ politics into the performance of the their duties, it doesn’t act as a bar to such behavior either, as the IRS’s several recent scandals demonstrate.

  133. “Weaponized narrative” is the new term being bronzed for the coming stupidity and freedom grab out of DC.
This is a weird place for me since previously I felt Assange was deserving of prosecution but this is different for me.

  134. That’s some 1984 shit.

My eye opener was the weekend they blamed Sara Palin’s web graphic on the shooting in Arizona. For at least couple days, there was this massive list of de facto “banned” words. The left entirely in charge of said list.

I still have many of the boxes of ammo I bought that weekend. I realized how dangerous these people really are.

  135. So I am making my class calendar for the quarter and have decided the last place I want to be on Inauguration Day is a university campus. I am scheduling a “no class meeting, work on your paper” day and keeping my ass home.

I can’t decide if that is cowardly or not….

  136. the last place I want to be on Inauguration Day is a university campus.

I confess I’m confused. Are you afraid for your physical safety or you just don’t want to be annoyed?

What you’re doing sounds like the flip side of what lib professors did in the wake of Donald’s election- allowing their “triggered” students to take a day off.

  137. You wanna hear some serious bullshit? These two sentences in the same news report:

Santiago, an Iraq veteran heard voices in his head from the CIA telling him to watch ISIL videos.
There is no reason to believe this was an act of terrorism.

    What. The. Fuck??????

  138. I just don’t want to be annoyed.

There are also about 50 miles between where I live and where I work, so that makes 100+ miles of to and from opportunities for protesting assholes to block the traffic I’m in.

Nope. Not gonna do it. I don’t react well to passive-aggressiveness and I’m the person who would get arrested for running their asses down.

  139. On another note I heard someone today discussing the sanitized release of the “hacking” findings. I think he said “no evidence” was presented. So the official report is them officially pulling it out of their ass?

I’d love to know what Gorilla thinks about all this.

  140. Why are you asking me to test the cohesive property of water when I am asking about its resting condition? Good grief is right.

Resting condition, huh? 😆 😆 I just gave you an example of the “curvature” of water which apparently is in its resting state, dummy.

I don’t think you know chit about the properties of water, poolman. I don’t think you have any idea of the concept of gravity except when your dad dropped you on your head.

  141. I suppose by the academic definition, Rutherford, I have a minor in physics and chemistry. But most of what I know believe it or not was learned on the way to medical school.

Physics, Calculus and BioChemistry were probably the three classes I took that truly changed the way I think, Inorganic and Organic to a lesser degree. The physics I took was necessary for the MCAT, but the guy who taught the courses was an astrophysicist and amateur astronomer. He made the class really fun – he was a character. I liked him well enough I would meet him in the dark (sounds kinky, doesn’t it) to look through his expensive telescopes. Good thing, because parts of Physics can be a booger to conceptualize – especially the electromagnetism parts.

  142. The problem with our intelligence as I see it as that it’s become way too political – and it shouldn’t be. I don’t buy for a second that Russia influenced the election. But if they were responsible for the release of the DNC information, people should remember two things: (1) The DNC is not affiliated with the federal gov’t; (2) Barack Obama was President – the blame rests on his cabinet and staff.

I could add two more. Russian influence doesn’t explain why Dimocrats lost across the board, even at the state level, and why this issue was not raised until after Donald Trump won the election.

  143. Three comments and I didn’t provide what I came into share. Don’t know if any of you have seen Hell or High Water, but I thought it was a pretty good flick. $1.63 from RedBox.

And I swear I grew up with people like that. 😛 I have always liked Jeff Bridges and Ben Foster. Chris Pine is really good in this one too. But some of the locals they used for character actors in small parts almost steal the show.

  144. After watching the trailer I thought it looked like a dozen other movies and very predictable, but you rarely steer wrong so I’ll give it a watch.

  145. I don’t think you have any idea of the concept of gravity except when your dad dropped you on your head.

If I were Catholic I’d have to say a few “bless me father’s” but damn I could not help but laugh out loud at that. 😂😂😂😂

  146. Tex, I had to laugh this evening. Some idiot on the tube complaining about the “hacking” – “oooooo how do we prevent this from happening again?”

And I’m yelling at the TV “don’t write emails that make you look like a dishonest fuck when they get hacked!!!!”

Tex did they do root cause analysis at the oil company you worked for? I grew up on it at IBM and goddam these lib whiners don’t know the first thing about it.

  147. “And I’m yelling at the TV “don’t write emails that make you look like a dishonest fuck when they get hacked!!!!””

That isn’t the root cause. Being a dishonest fuck is.

  148. I just gave you an example of the “curvature” of water which apparently is in its resting state, dummy.

Cute. You described the water’s edge. Show me the curved top, mister meniscus. 😛

  149. Good thing, because parts of Physics can be a booger to conceptualize – especially the electromagnetism parts.

  150. 8 inches per mile at the equator… of course the farther north (or south) you go toward the pole, the curvature would increase looking toward the east or west as the circumference got smaller.

Or you could use some squarecirclecubesphere magic to figure it out. 😉

  151. Poolman, have you ever flown in a commercial jet? 😆 😆 Say way up like at 40,000 feet?

Is that curvature of the earth I see some type of mirage too? Or the lens in my eyes flat too,?

You got to get off the dope, man, and we got to get you an airline ticket while you’re straight.

  152. Is that curvature of the earth I see some type of mirage too?

There is no curvature up as far as you can go. Was that before or after the drinks? 😛

  153. 😉 Okay, Poolman. Whatever you say…and the moon is made of cheese.

I’m just wondering how gravity works on a flat earth. Does the Core move from one side to the other? Or is there no core either?

  154. Dang! My puppy image didn’t post. Oh, well.

Or is there no core either?

It is only a theory. We do not have the technology to drill that deep. But answer this if you can. Could you have an abyss on a sphere? Or are we talking allegory in revelation 20?

  155. Occam’s razor, dude. The Word says it, simple experiments prove it, and the eye can see it – IF the mind allows it. Prove the Word wrong, otherwise accept it as truth.

  156. It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in ~ Isaiah 40:22

  157. Imagery from the naked eye that appears proximately flat at a relatively close distance disproves other observable proof of curvature from great distances only to a fool.

Having personally observed curved horizon (from high altitude and in seeing approaching ships at sea), I guess I can’t believe my lying eyes based on the principle of Occam’s Razor — which apparently is the scientific method of starting with a conclusion, discounting but nor disproving contradictory evidence, and accepting only observations that confirm conclusion. A study in capturing nearly every logical fallacy in feld swoop.

  158. Here Weedman. It’s a guy using a headset and mic on a youtube video so we know it’s credible. Maybe not done with bong in hand, but it’s a close to the only format you seem willing to accept other than platitudes imbedded in memes.

  159. Monica Crowley should have done her own work and HarperCollins should have made sure she did. Laziness on both parts.

With that said, if this is the worst they can find against a proposed national security advisor, I think she’s in good shape.

  160. sitteth upon the circle of the earth,

When does a circle represent a ball, Two Dee?
And what about that curtain? I suppose you think the spinning light show every night isn’t His clock.
What about that tent, grasshopper? Do you think it holds water?

Face it bud, we’re in a snow globe. 🙂

  161. Having personally observed curved horizon

Now who’s smoking some real shit! 😛 In your mind. The curve is IN YOUR MIND.

  162. “Now who’s smoking some real shit!😛 In your mind. The curve is IN YOUR MIND.”

Not at all. Descending rapidly from extreme heights allows you to watch fixed objects disappear just as ships do over the horizon as I have observed.

I can’t wait for you to debunk the video I posted without employing the logical fallacy of cherry picking addressed in the video.

  163. Put that drug addled brain to work Weedman. No cherry picking now. You have to explain the other observable and scientific explanations. “The fix is in” is neither.

  164. Dude, that video is great. First he tells me we can’t prove any of the space images. Check. Then he tells me starting at 2:33 that we cannot EVER see the curve. Check. Curious though, since you saw it. Then at 3:05 he CUTS A F@*&!!g ORANGE!!!?!!??!! WTF?

I don’t know what kind of drugs you are on. Seriously. This is funny. I will see if there are more nuggets going forward. I have to finish cleaning my keyboard from spewing coffee. 😆

  165. I’ve only made it to 3:44. This is hilarious!!! 😆

“Because the earth is so big, all we are ever going to see of the ball of the earth is a flat circle.”

Pass that shit this way, dude. How big is the earth in your mind?? 😆

  166. Aha. Metabunk. Figures. Now I know the who and why.

Tell me what I am supposed to gain from this, ET. What minute mark disproves the flat earth? So far it reinforces the fact. Is there a place where he disputes the law of perspective?

  167. Part of Obama’s legacy is racism or the use of race to destroy enemies.

I also think he was one of our most successful presidents. He hates the America we read about in history books, and he and his socialist allies have accomplished what they planned.

Hillary would have sealed our fate were it not for our unlikely warrior who like Charles Martel repelled the enemy.

  168. First, read what I wrote again dummy. If it helps, Let me just say I saw handicapped parking signs on the horizon.

Second, go ahead and refute. He’s even got pictures and video. You’re back at it again because you can’t. I know you think saying he has no empirical evidence to authenticate NASA photos will provide a nice diversion, but it doesn’t help you refute anything.

Now go toke up and have at it. No cherry picking. The world awaits your deep scientific profundity!

  169. “Tell me what I am supposed to gain from this, ET. What minute mark disproves the flat earth? So far it reinforces the fact. Is there a place where he disputes the law of perspective?”

Go on dummy. Where’s he wrong? I just ran through a string of your blather that includes your conclusion (earth is flat), pictures you claim prove it (no curvature), and a nice Willy Wonka meme. With tehe exception of Willy Wonka, he ran through your “evidence.” And sine it says “Part 1” I’m hoping there’s a “Part 2” as you move on to other stupidity.

Get to it. We’re waiting. He’s addressed what you set forth. Refute it moron. Poste haste! 😆

  170. I hope some of you will change the subject and heap calumy onto me and the video instead of making this site look like something from a drug high.
Some Russians are celebrating as we are that Trump is not Hillary. The lyrics are celebratory to fit the mood.

  171. I just ran through a string of your blather that includes your conclusion

Doubtful, but if so, tell me how that CAD drawing gets it wrong. Because that is what you are trying to dispute. After I take in some more of your hilarious ‘proof’, maybe we can discuss bowl tectonics.
Oh wait. Plates… Damn that flat circle!! 😆

  172. “If it were curved down, it would not come back and join itself at the same level.” – metabullshit

Duh. Because it isn’t a ball. The horizon always rises to the eye level of the viewer, dipshit. ALWAYS. No matter what elevation you are at. THAT CANNOT HAPPEN ON A BALL. You would need to be looking down to see it the higher up you went.

  173. Does the Core move from one side to the other?

Screw that. What’s ON the other side? Is there land on both sides? What is the thickness of the earth? Is it a ribbon or a rectangle? What exactly happens if you sail off the edge?

    So many questions!!!!!

  174. The horizon is not 3 miles away. That is bullshit. The horizon is where sky and earth meet. Look it up. His 3 and a half feet at 3 miles doesn’t match what even he claimed the diameter of the earth. His math is wrong at 5:40.

    I’m still looking Tigre…

  175. Apparently, Poolman is desperate need of attention. Seldom do I agree with Rutherford concerning politics, but I do believe the last election must have been the last screw holding back the brain matter of liquid head.

  176. I think you might be on to something. The NWO won’t like this. Did you see that same red car the last few days? Your being gang stalking for a reason.

  177. Can you imagine someone that is conflicted about faith, the Bible, and Christianity coming here and reading this bullshit?

Poolman is giving a beautiful argument in favor of Atheism.

  178. Now that Rutherford has gone back to his “scientific consensus” bullshit

I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of climate change deniers who use the same appeal to authority to convince us “Russia hacked the election”.

You love to argue so much, you miss the point.

  179. “I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of climate change deniers who use the same appeal to authority to convince us “Russia hacked the election”.”

I guess I did miss your point, Climate change deniers are trying to convince you that Russia hacked the election?

  180. He hates the America we read about in history books

The first time I’ve seen that sentiment expressed correctly. He doesn’t hate America. He hates some of what this country has done and, to his thinking, has not properly atoned for.

I think we should have expected this from the first black president and it’s the root cause why some didn’t want a black president in the first place.

    our unlikely warrior

OMFG! Keep talking like that and Trump will dump Pence and make YOU VP. 🙄🙄

  181. instead of making this site look like something from a drug high.

LOLOLOL I too was wondering what’s become of my blog that a Saturday morning has been consumed debating flat earth. On the other hand, it’s a welcome relief from the dumpster fire that is our politics.

Next weekend we’re debating the existence of Santa Claus.

  182. “Can you imagine someone that is conflicted about faith, the Bible, and Christianity coming here and reading this bullshit?

Poolman is giving a beautiful argument in favor of Atheism.”

Of course I can imagine. Poolman is a highly offensive shitbag. Malicious as they come.

  183. Climate change deniers are trying to convince you that Russia hacked the election?

Some of the folks with their hair on fire about Russia are conservatives in the no-global-warming contingent. Not all, but some.

  184. “Some of the folks with their hair on fire about Russia are conservatives in the no-global-warming contingent. Not all, but some.”

    That was your point?

Ima gonna let this one go. Merry Christmas.

  185. Muffy you think Poolman and I ganged up on you with Pfesser. You don’t like us. For my part, I could have handled the whole thing better. I think I’ve said that in the past.

I don’t see what empathy has to do with this. If you see Poolman as basically evil, then everything he spews is born of evil. As I’ve said many times, I find Poolman foolish, perhaps a bit coo-coo in the fluffernutter, but not malicious.

We see him differently. Has not a damn thing to do with empathy.

P.S. Is he the first biblical literalist you have encountered?

  186. He said you cannot verify space pictures. TRUE
He said you can never see the curve. TRUE
He said our vision is a flat circle. TRUE
He said the horizon is visible to 3 miles. LIE.
He said the curve is 1.5′ in 3 miles. LIE
He said ships sail over the horizon. LIE
He said the farther up, the farther away the horizon. TRUE, however contradicting his earlier statement.
He said the sun and moon emerge from and slide behind the horizon. TRUE

  187. Ha Ha! Rutherford. I wonder about Rudolph’s red nose. It may be due to a fungal infection.

Another bit of inferred false news is that as of now, Britain has the world’s strongest advanced economy.

Brexit may or may not have contributed, but our reporters are behaving as though it did by keeping quiet.

  188. “Has not a damn thing to do with empathy.”

Wheres your empathy for the “someone” in Hucks astute observation?

“Can you imagine someone that is conflicted about faith, the Bible, and Christianity coming here and reading this bullshit?

Poolman is giving a beautiful argument in favor of Atheism.”

You might have to think about this to get it. Might gave to follow through on the first thought a ways, thats might help in empathizing.

  189. Maybe this will help. I always felt mournful for the “someone” conflicted about or contemplating an abortion landing on Fat Granny’s home page.

This is the problem with academia having gone full liberal too. Its not just annoying, its more than treacherous, its heartbreaking.

But libs can only feel their own bleeding hearts. Sad!

  190. Wheres your empathy for the “someone” in Hucks astute observation?

People seeking help or confirmation of their faith are going to encounter all types of religious folk. Poolman is far from alone in embracing what he sees as a literal interpretation of the Bible. I don’t consider these literalists malicious. I consider them a bit nutty. BUT I consider someone who truly believes Christ was born from a virgin equally nutty. So I have to step back 500 feet to try and be fair.

If someone struggling with faith seeks counsel and the counselor ultimately tells them to follow the golden rule, then the other details don’t seem important to me. If religion provides comfort for the suffering and moral guidance it hardly matters whether there is a father, son, Holy Ghost or flat earth. Those details are not the meat of religion in my view.

  191. Someone conflicted about abortion doesn’t belong at Fat Grannies or a religious service where they’re told they’re hell bound. They need compassionate counseling. That includes family, medical professionals, and yes a spiritual counselor who truly knows them and cares about them.

I feel bad for anyone looking to Fat Grannies for any kind of clarity. This is a place where you get a bravo for saying you “found yourself pregnant” and that’s grounds enough to terminate. Not a very thoughtful bunch.

  192. He doesn’t understand perspective or is intentionally misleading with a ‘perspective matrix’ he claims is used by flat earth advocates. STRAWMAN

His math is completely wrong. He is calculating 6 inches from the observation point for every mile toward a horizon when his globe model (illustrated in the CAD drawing) proves his ignorance or deception. When his bad math can’t explain it, he shifts to claiming a mirage. A ‘superior’ mirage. lol. He said atmospheric light infraction phenomenon causes one to be able to see Chicago from 60 miles across Lake Michigan: LIE

Okay ET, I watched your ‘proof’ that turned out to only prove you’re stupid or a shill.

Try again when you understand math and 2 point perspective.

  193. He never explains why the horizon doesn’t curve to the right or left of center, since the length of it is way more than 3 miles at 3 miles. That is completely inconsistent.

Maybe we’re on a cylinder, ET? You saw the curve, brah. 😛

  194. Speaking of Santa as you did, Rutherford. Our grand daughter asked me, “If the North Pole is so cold, why doesn’t Santa live somewhere warmer?” ‘If the North Pole is ice, what do the reindeer eat? Does Santa have to carry hay in his sleigh?”

“We don’t have a real fire place. How can Santa get into our house? Wouldn’t it be easier to come in through the front door?”

We watched “Home” and our grand daughter’s questions and my answers turned it into a commentary about characters’ motivations and set design. Our conversation delayed our departure for home by over an hour.

Our daughter asked “Do the aliens scare you?” “Why should they? I’m safe at home and it is just a movie.” I think she would fit in here.

  195. How thick is flat Earth?
How do tides work on flat Earth?
    How wide is flat Earth?
Where is Antarctica located on flat Earth?
How can one have a polar vortex on a flat Earth?
How is there atmosphere with a flat Earth?
What is on the “bottom” of flat Earth?
What keeps stuff from falling over the edges of flat Earth?
Is the Sun flat? How about flat Earth’s moon?

  196. “A ‘superior’ mirage. lol. He said atmospheric light infraction phenomenon causes one to be able to see Chicago from 60 miles across Lake Michigan.”

Ah yes. Cherry picking. It’s all you know. No explanation at all for the images without the mirage effect or even the ones occurring on the video (like buildings disappearing and reappearing). No refutation at all. Just the intellectually dishonest cherry picking that is your hidey-hole and fully anticipated.

Weedman, you haven’t and can’t refute what was said or shown. All of your observations harmonized with his explanations, none of his with yours. The failure of logic you so studiously suppress is why you buy into every conspiracy theory. Every single one. And it’s sad.

  197. “Tigre I got your drift. Or I should say, my thoughts exactly. I just let it go without asking.”

Oh, he does too. It’s like that Wendy’s tweet exchange that’s made the rounds.

  198. “He never explains why the horizon doesn’t curve to the right or left of center, since the length of it is way more than 3 miles at 3 miles. ”

Ummm yeah. That’s only the very first thing he does. THC will have that effect on ya.

  199. Ah yes. Cherry picking. It’s all you know. No explanation at all for the images without the mirage effect

His math doesn’t work for the sphere HE and YOU claim we live on. Pretty simple to refute.

I guess lawyers don’t do math. My bad.

Mirages do occur. So does evaporation. Big time on open water. So dense sometimes that it makes fog. I’m not surprised it cannot be seen most days or if the mists distort the view. I’ve seen it do that plenty with different temperature winds and sunlight. The closer you are to the horizon, the greater the distortion, primarily to convergence your field of vision.

    Ummm yeah.

The slice off the orange bit? I can see the curve on the orange. Where is the curve on the earth? Do we live on a slice? Far from any kind of proof dude. Stick to your day job.

  200. That’s why all this “you have no proof” is bullshit. Any proof he doesn’t like is faked, and there is no proof of the capability to get that proof.

The mental energy being wasted on this discussion is sad.

  201. “This is well beyond the effects of marijuana……”

Not necessarily. And I say this a pro legalization supporter.

I think it’s plausible a person with a certain brain chemistry can’t handle daily THC without losing his fucking mind.

Weed makes you look at things from a different perspective. Daily use can permanently rewire things.
He can’t tell the difference between things that are probable, plausible and impossible. I bet he wouldn’t be this bad if he didn’t abuse weed.

  202. “The mental energy being wasted on this discussion is sad.”

LOL. I ain’t got much to give, that’s for sure. But not much is required.

To think, some dude that needed to scratch the itch spent the time to create a 3-part video series debunking all of this nonsense with common sense, easily verified explanations knowing it wouldn’t convince these idiots. That’s some wasted expenditure of mental energy to behold.

  203. To think, some dude that needed to scratch the itch spent the time to create a 3-part video series debunking all of this nonsense with common sense, easily verified explanations

Except that he didn’t. Even with his numerous lies and deception, we still have the 375 mile long Lake Baikal located way up toward the pole with absolutely NO CURVE.

  204. Poolman is an evangelist for atheism.

I shouldn’t laugh but that was funny. Arizona Dirtwood is a product of Fat Grannies. What more can I say?

The room will note I can’t even venture into arguments with the mindless stooge anymore. But I was hoping after he said there is never been a curvature of water, when I made the cup example demonstrating a “curvature” of water, Weedman would shut up. Pointing out the obvious only made Dirt Weed more incoherent. 😐

  205. “I think it’s plausible a person with a certain brain chemistry can’t handle daily THC without losing his fucking mind.”

Well that may be, but I smoked weed daily for about 25 years and never once argued the earth was flat.

I think the mofo has ventured into MDMA not THC.

  206. I don’t know how old the earth is, Huck. How can we know? I can only use my senses to understand the now. History books have been in man’s hands and I cannot find any I trust 100 percent with that knowledge. Knowledge is truly power. The Word says God would reveal Himself to all who truly seek Him, and I have found that to be true. The earth is His creation and everything has His signature.

  207. I should have been more specific regarding curved water. I meant a body of water. Not the characteristics of small drops or its reaction when in contact with any other material. Drops alone are very curvy.

The body of water can be at rest or not. A disturbance will distribute waves that form a ripple effect. A spin of the body’s container would cause it to run up the side and dump out. Aside from a thin molecular layer, water cannot stick to the outside of a ball. Even if it wasn’t spinning.

Back to your globe theory doesn’t hold water.

  208. How thick is flat Earth?

It has a bottomless pit. I really don’t know. Some say it is hollow and you can enter from the north pole. I have no way to gauge it.

How do tides work on flat Earth? I don’t know yet. There is some discussion that waters flow up from the deep and back. The deep appears to be a chasm far below the surface. Guesses on my part right now.

    How wide is flat Earth?

There are models that show it from the top as a round circle and an ice wall around the outer perimeter. Cook I believe measured its distance as 60,000 miles and another I can’t recall his name at 69,000 miles.

Where is Antarctica located on flat Earth?

That would be the ice wall holding in the seas.

How can one have a polar vortex on a flat Earth?

From what I can tell we are like a flat speaker magnet. The north pole is the center hole and the outer edge is the opposite polarity.

How is there atmosphere with a flat Earth?

There is a firmament containing us. Like a snow globe.

What is on the “bottom” of flat Earth?

Unsure. Pillars hold it up, but I know no real bottom other than chambers and the deep.

What keeps stuff from falling over the edges of flat Earth?

The outer ice wall and then the firmament.

Is the Sun flat? How about flat Earth’s moon?

Not sure. The sun appears to have portholes and is spherical. The moon is is similar in size but it is round and may not be a sphere that is somewhat transparent in places.

  209. Wow, have times change! Approximately 50 years ago conservatives blamed liberals to having connections to Russia. Now the liberals are attempting the same tactic? Nice, try! 50 years too late on that one. However, I thank the Left for providing me with more comedy…. wait that was suppose to be news?!?! Goddamn.

  210. Obama clears-to-go gitmo detainees previously considered “too dangerous to release.” Some have vowed to kill all Americans. These are like the forefathers of radical Islamic terrorism.

    He safe though.

  211. Michael Goodwin of the New York Post wrote that some of the News media read the intelligence report before Trump did. I agree with Goodwin that this is a progression of attempts to nullify the results of this election.

The FBI did not inspect the Democratic computers which Russians allegedly hacked. A third party did. The FBI claims the Democrats did not let the FBI make an inspection, and the Democrats deny the story. This reeks. This morning, I am more inclined to believe the Russians.

Alisa Shevchenko owns a computer company, ZOR which the Obama regime accuses of hacking for the Russians. Obama has banned her company from operating in the US. ZOR searches for security flaws on web sites.

She says American competitors or Russian intelligence are setting her up.”A young female hacker and her helpless company seems like a perfect pick for that. Most importantly, I don’t have any big money or connections to shrug off the claim.”

This sounds like the creator of a bad Youtube movie who went to jail for inciting the attack on Benghazi.

The Guardian asked her future plans. “Take LSD and go for a walk in a national park with no security.”

  212. Thomas Fox-Brewster of Forbes has known Alisa Esage Shevchenko for a couple of years.

Homeland security credited her for helping find flaws in energy management. In 2014 she was awarded for finding software vulnerabilities in Microsoft products. Publications have praised her work.

So far the government has not publically supported its sanction in any convincing detail.

I believe Alisa until we get more information.

  213. I repeat my call out that pool man is an evangelist for atheism. He is clearly a believer in a weak and pathetic god. I don’t know how anyone who has read the various holy books can come to the conclusion of Earth being as depicted in the above image.
pools I am also amazed you can gel your conspiracies so fully. Your previous stated outrage over HAARP seems to be even more stupid and utterly disjointed since you don’t believe in curvature.
I’m a little iffy on your actual take on AGW but in a flat Earth scenario I’m thinking a massive chunk of your “wall” breaking off is far more serious under your theories than ours.
As for answering the nonsense I simply have my education and observations which shows that a 6 foot tall man has a limited horizon view that falls short of the curvature rate, that from space the Earth is not flat, that celestial bodies and radioastronomy clearly shows rotation, spheres etc etc.
Pool is either an immense idiot, moron who truly believes some crazy shit or he is just a malicious dickhead troll who is actually wetting his depends over getting a rise out of people on the inter webs.
Either way we really really need to stop indulging him.

  214. I concluded the same thing you did Alfie – about two years ago. It’s been a while since I “debated” with Poolman and I had forgotten how fruitless those debates are.

And I’m forced to conclude either Poolman is mentally ill, so addled to be mindless, or simply gets his kicks out of agitating without worry of appearing ignorant. Some of it is vicious (the school shooting denial). Some of it is sheer idiocy like the stupidity of a flat earth. Trust me, that is not what Holy Writ says, as it would have been rejected long ago if it did.

This time my heart was in the right place instead of being vindictive as I can in trying to demonstrate by example, so that the conversation may end. It didn’t work.

Either way, it is a personal embarrassment when this lunatic is posed as a representative of my faith.

  215. Great find Huck
I support your decision to ditch school on inauguration day. I do so secondary to being exposed to libtard family events over the holidays where I was jaw dropping shocked to hear folks planning to sink hundreds of dollars into trips down to DC to join the protesting hordes of infantile incivility.
I’m not the most social person on the planet. In person my exchanges amongst the masses trend strictly professional, polite but blunt perhaps curt a better word. I think it is the polite demeanor thing that seemingly invites people to assume my political affiliations and offer their opinions. Ugh. Go figure people offer me their opinions assuming I will be aligned yet at the supermarket I NEVER get offered the free stuff. Those folks treat me like I’m freaking invisible. I need to find a way to reverse that.

  216. “Either way, it is a personal embarrassment when this lunatic is posed as a representative of my faith.”

Ive long believed that Rutherford knows that. Poolman isn’t the only one getting a rise.

  217. @ Rutherford I know you probably think you took a lot of shit from folks here when you were offered how executive actions set precedent. I’m finding a lot of honest non-right wing folks coming to that realization that they have in fact created a system that not only helped seat Trump but now empowers him to do some seriously scary shit.
I read one piece in the Atlantic where the guy kept trying to polish the various Obama turds in the trophy case while still standing by the thesis that Obama has weakened the Constitution.
Another looked at a collection of pieces trying to understand the very short term evolution of NYC Mayor deBlasio’s understanding of federal power. That one was linked to the larger story of how many mayors and a couple of governors seriously think they have the grounds and go ahead to coalesce as an alternate progressive collection of city-state governance. Boy are those folks in for a shock if Trump moves anywhere near some of his promises.

  218. Transgender male perv convicted of filming teenage girls in Target …

Your trans “male perv” is probably legally a woman. No different than if a biological woman was filming women in changing room.

Calm the fuck down. She’s off the street and wtf do you care if she ogles female cons? A bunch of them are dykes anyway.

  219. @ Rutherford this isn’t a short answer question per se but real rough like what do you see as the American “liberal” political timeline?
If that’s too far reaching for your current schedule you could perhaps go the yes no route on the following:
    19th century popularism,liberals?
Turn of & Early 20th century socialism such as Debs,Pullman and Haymarket?
    Same time but the Muckrakers?
    Theodore Roosevelts agenda?
    Woodrow Wilson?
1950’s beatniks and lingering communist sympathizers?
    the motherfucking hippies?
the 60’s if you don’t like the previous one?

  220. @ Rutherford on THAT day the pen was likely at best an extremely confused psychologically fucked up person who was still capable of affiliating with those who desire the female form. The other alternatives is that on THAT day HE was a perv encouraged to push the boundaries of society to achieve gratification of a sexual based fetish.
The tax payer should not be on the hook for altering the creep and as long as he has a twig and berries should be held in a male facility although protected.

  221. I think Donald is a wack job but I’m not buying the Russian thing either.

First, by all accounts, there is NO HARD EVIDENCE in the report. Even seasoned intelligence experts tell you their shit can’t hold up in court. Last time I looked, hacking was illegal. Issue an arrest warrant to the hackers (can’t do that if they don’t really know who they are) and even if no extradition treaty exists, at least its symbolic.

Second, the Russians celebrated Trump’s victory. So what? WE are invested in certain political outcomes overseas. When we no longer want the leader of Libya around, we don’t post propaganda, we help him get killed.

    Give me a fucking break.

  222. “Go figure people offer me their opinions assuming I will be aligned…”

Alfie you’re hitting on some major truths this morning. Family, close associations – those don’t cause me anxiety but strangers, colleagues, neighbors – oh hell yeah.

Personally I say nothing to dissuade them. I don’t want anyone spitting in my food. Or worse.

I don’t frequently refer to academia for nothing.

  223. “Your trans “male perv” is probably legally a woman. No different than if a biological woman was filming women in changing room.

Calm the fuck down. She’s off the street and wtf do you care if she ogles female cons? A bunch of them are dykes anyway.”

    Still astonishing, your foolishness.

  224. Either way we really really need to stop indulging him.

Alfie, sorry but he’s not the only one being indulged. Let me lay it out very clearly:

    The Earth is flat.
    No, it isn’t.

Noah put two of every animal on a boat.
    No, he didn’t.

    Moses parted the Red Sea.
    No, he didn’t.

    Eve came from Adan’s rib.
    No, she did not.

    Jesus’ mother was a virgin.
    No, she was not.

Jesus’ body rose from the grave.
No, it did not. Unless he was cremated, his body decomposed in the earth. If you wish to believe his (or anyone else’s) soul ascended to another dimension, by all means.

I am not saying this to be nasty. It is Poolman who tied his ridiculous flat earth to the Bible. Either you believe much of the Bible to be allegory OR you get off Poolman’s back.

  225. That one was linked to the larger story of how many mayors and a couple of governors seriously think they have the grounds and go ahead to coalesce as an alternate progressive collection of city-state governance.

I’m guessing Jerry Brown hiring Eric Holder to help fight Trump is one such example.

  226. Poolman preaches his lies relentlessly, using your blog as his personal pulpit. Who else does that? You troll for it for arguments sake, a well-worn ruse to get a rise, but the rest of us keep our spiritual beliefs out of things as much as possible. I know Ive learned that arguing with you about such things is futile, the opposite of fun, not a smidgen stimulating or enlightening. And usually offensive.

Poolman is a pusher. And you love it. He embarrasses your enemies, he evangelizes effectively for atheism, and he’s more foolish than you are, and he lives down to the labels you assign to him.

Don’t you even wonder why he pushes his lies?

  227. No, it did not. Unless he was cremated, his body decomposed in the earth. If you wish to believe his (or anyone else’s) soul ascended to another dimension, by all means.

You are the one that called Dirt Weed the closest representation and most knowledgeable of the Bible.

I guess you’re not aware I find you about one step in credibility above the Dirt Weed. But that still doesn’t make you credible…

    Whig Man.

  228. @ Rutherford that is actually a funny one seeing as Holders lawyering was always about shoving the 14 Th up state and cities asses. Poetic justice when he gets it reamed up his by Sessions 😁

  229. the motherfucking hippies?

First a caveat: I don’t know whether you’re deliberately trying to show me up as a poorly read idiot OR you overestimate my grasp of political history. I’ll assume the latter and warn that my answer will be way too simplistic for you.

Out of your list, the hippies comment resonated. I am coming to understand the current liberal movement as the movement of “feelings” or feefees as many here like to say.

Politics is the translation of emotion into policy. The modern liberal thinks “if you make me sad, you’re bad.” On a very basic level, that is what is going on. Just as the 60’s peace movement , free love, free drugs was all about feeling good, so is the current lib movement now bordering ironically on fascism.

Donald Trump is the ultimate insult to folks who don’t want their “feelings hurt”. This same “I want to FEEL good” factors into white liberal racial politics. I hope to delve there in my upcoming Obama summation post.

  230. Questions to Rutherford:

    How did the Universe start?

    Big Bang.

    What’s the Big Bang?

    Don’t know.

    How did life begin?

    Don’t know.

    Where’s Jesus Body?

    Decomposed.

Why couldn’t the Roman Legions, Pontius or the Sanhedrin account for it and where is it?

    Don’t know.

How do you account for natural laws?

    Don’t know.

Why did our Founding Father’s believe rights endowed by a Creator?

    Don’t know.

    Why do the oceans “curve?”

    Don’t know.

    et…
    etc…
    etc…etc…

Either you believe much of what Poolman says is accurate, you believe its allegory, or you need to join his bandwagon and take ownership. Don’t know don’t cut it., Wing Man.

  231. I go to lengths not to parade my beliefs or deny others theirs.
I do believe the various holy books employ allegory as well as simplistic text aimed at the contemporary consumer. I further accept how translation and interpretation muddies truth.
An example is do I believe in the Resurrection in its entirety? The answer is YES I do and that is founded primarily in faith but also historical knowledge. It is a story that stands the strain of time that its “authors” could not if predicted.
Another is the seven days thing. Although I do believe in a powerful God I also learned of His patience, wisdom and timing. It is because of that I am comfortable with the 7 being allegory and millions being equally fitting. I also belive in a varying number of “intelligent design” points as being supported scripturally.

  232. “You are the one that called Dirt Weed the closest representation and most knowledgeable of the Bible.”

Yep. That was some juicy wriggling bait too.

“Either way we really really need to stop indulging him.”

Alfie’s right. Notice who does not support this?

  233. Don’t you even wonder why he pushes his lies?

Easiest question of the day: because the dude is off kilter. And i bet, statistically speaking, every blog owner in this country with “regulars” like I have here, has at least one patron with more than a few screws loose.

I don’t personally know Poolman. Maybe he’s a malicious prick. I assure you, if I truly thought that, my approach would be different.

  234. Let me be clear I meant no harm in my question and only offered the time chunks I did to help in timeliness.
I accept your answer as a very good one by the way since it is in line with a big school of thougt on the topic. I belive that chunk did indeed come to be by altering New Deal generation but also became responsible for putting modern American liberalism on an unsustainable path culminating in its implosion in 2016.
Trust me on this from here on, if I’m out for blood it comes off blatant and clear 😀

  235. I guess you’re not aware I find you about one step in credibility above the Dirt Weed. But that still doesn’t make you credible…
    Whig Man.

Nah, I hope I’ve never pretended to be as Bible literate as you or Poolman. I know better. You can both quote scripture and it comes out through different filters. Since I’m not sure which of you has it right, I choose to view both perspectives with skepticism.

I’ll never live that Whig comment down, will I? 😀

  236. I like your comment, Invertedlogic, however we need a clarification. Liberals didn’t care about Russia or Russians, their affinity was toward Russia’s pseudo communistic system.

Conservatives also cared little for individual Russians. They knew the leaders and their expansionist ideology was dangerous.

Now, Russia operates under an authoritarian form of government, and its people have revealed their more conservative natures. The liberals don’t have much to like, and they use Russia as a political weapon.

Russians and American conservatives learned they have more in common than they realized. They dream of Russian social values they still hold.

  237. I like the article and date, too Huck. I would also stay home. It profits one little to fight when the reward is no benefit. Maybe you can convince them you are down for the struggle and help your career.

  238. Some conservatives have argued that Congressional Republicans should rescind Democratic rules and rebuild the system as it was to show we are better and more responsible than they. I hope Republicans crush liberals with their own rules, not from vengence but from the danger liberals pose for the rest of us.

  239. Since you brought it up, Rutherford, the Black Sea was a rich and fertile valley until global warming raised the ocean level to let water pour across the land which is now the Black Sea. Refugees fled in all directions and carried the flood story with them. Thus, Noah’s ark without the animals, may like Santa have some basis in fact.

Moses didn’t part the Red Sea, but some meteorological or seismic conditions might have done so. It has happened before.

It is unlikely that Jesus’ mother was virgin, but not impossible. Such a child would be a daughter.

Some observers noted that Jesus died unusually quickly compared to others who lingered for much longer.

I have read speculation that Jesus might not have been dead when he was buried and when he left his tomb with the help of followers he was still alive.

I am not trying to start an argument, but your certitude carries gradations you ignored.

  240. “Easiest question of the day: because the dude is off kilter.”

Hah. Leave it to you to misidentify it as the easiest of questions AND to get the answer wrong.

Your answer was the easiest of answers. That’s why you chose it. You can’t manage anything heavier.

Moreover, its self-serving in that you get to keep flying with your Mav, Goose.

  241. Alfie I’m greatly unsure what will be the result of “the resistance”. I hope it turns out to be a nothing burger like Occupy. Otherwise I fear for the nation, truly.

  242. How about Reverend Hophead takes his sermons over to the coliseum.

These two will not go quietly with this. First thing Rutherford will do is complicate the shit out of this very simple solution, probably in the (false) name of fairness.

  243. How about Reverend Hophead takes his sermons over to the coliseum.

These two will not go quietly with this. First thing Rutherford will do is complicate the shit out of this very simple solution under the guise of fairness.

  244. Don’t know don’t cut it.

But you see, that is where I think you’re wrong. I am convinced there are mysteries to our existence that defy explanation either by science or religion. The lower species are “blessed” with insufficient self-awareness to worry about these things. Man, both blessing and curse, has a mind capable of contemplating death. A mind capable of wanting answers to all questions. AND a hubris to believe all answers are attainable.

Believe it or not, Tex, I am natures most humble servant. I claim to know nothing of her most profound mysteries. I limit myself to provable biological and scientific phenomena. Everything I refuted in that list fits that category.

Did you notice I DIDN’T say:
“The universe was created in 7 days.
    No, it wasn’t”

You went there. I did not. I don’t know that answer.

Why did our Founding Father’s believe rights endowed by a Creator?

I never once disputed a “creator” in my list. Read it again.

  245. Trust me on this from here on, if I’m out for blood it comes off blatant and clear

I suspected so, feeling I “know” you as well as a cyber acquaintance can. At first blush, I read your question and thought “shit, another college exam I didn’t study for”. 😀

  246. Raw emotion channeled into politics is the pillar of facism.

I’ll have to think about that one a bit. I think ALL politics is fueled by emotion. So the question is – is every GOVERNMENT fascist to some degree or another? Is there an intrinsic fascism to any central body governing over the masses?

  247. Couldn’t agree more. Not really a fan of either of the mainstream parties. However, the recourse the Liberals are resorting to is so egregiously transparent and insulting to the general public as a whole. We all know better than to believe the lies at this point.

  248. I am not trying to start an argument, but your certitude carries gradations you ignored.

I appreciate all your observations James and I consider every explanation you offered a rational interpretation of the documented events. I wish more folks would seek to bridge the Bible stories to REALITY instead of just saying “I believe because the Bible tells me so.”

Let’s take your observation that Christ died faster than those executed alongside him. Could it be that his faith in God was so strong that he succumbed to death more willingly than his fearful peers, crucified next to him?

I’m so glad you posted what you did because I would be much less resistant to religion if your suggestions were common in religious discussion and not the exception.

  249. Muffy, honestly what do you know about Poolman that I don’t, other than he’s insulted you personally? I don’t expect you to like the guy. But beyond a very unpleasant social interaction how can you claim to know the man and his motives?

The people I KNOW on this blog have only ever popped in and out – my wife, my brother in law, and a friend. I “know” the rest of you only by a pattern of comments made over the years. Based on that limited knowledge there’s only two of you, Elric and Noah, whom I conjecture are really not very nice people.

You tire of my saying “you’ve changed” but based on years of exposure to you, I conjecture that you are an intelligent compassionate person. I also perceive you’ve lost patience over the years and are quicker to anger than before. BUT we don’t know each other so I may be completely full of shit. That goes for my assessment of Poolman and everyone else here.

  250. 375 miles of FLAT ice on lake Baikal in Siberia PROVES the globe THEORY false.

Tangible. Observable. Measurable. Able to be tested over and over and over and over and over…

375 MILES FLAT – NO CURVATURE whatsoever.

It matters not what beliefs you ascribe to. If this lake is flat as witnesses have claimed, then how does that work on a sphere with a supposed circumference of 25,000 miles at its widest place (the equator) and a considerably smaller circumference at Siberia?

No one has even TRIED to answer this question. I have posed the most questions here without anyone answering them.

Interesting topic. My two cents would be that we throw the F word around a little too easily in the West and that the two statements above can be taken as unrelated. Most if not all of the political isms require emotion to take hold.
Clearly the 20th century fascists of Franco,Hitler and Mussolini (and FDR) fostered and harnessed the emotions of the masses to their personal aims. Imperial Japan took a similar path but arguably didn’t rise to western defined fascism in their vocabulary since they employed heritage, cultural stoked nationalism.
A further divergence is Pax Americana jingoism. Not fascist as most would define it but having multiple branches including imperialism yet an overwhelming amount of unprecedented nobility too.
Government is like kudzu. It is organic, has a purpose but is a mangled detrimental mess if not monitored and trimmed aggressively.

  252. Yet its easily proved that there is curvature along the Great Lakes with multiple videos, images and personal experience whether you’re viewing Chicago or Toronto.
    Stop It!!!!

  253. “No one has even TRIED to answer this question. I have posed the most questions here without anyone answering them.”

Whoever the so-called witnesses are, they’re wrong. And you’re wrong.

    Answered.

If you can’t explain the curvatures in other bodies of water, shut the fuck up.

  254. “Muffy, honestly what do you know about Poolman that I don’t, other than he’s insulted you personally? I don’t expect you to like the guy. But beyond a very unpleasant social interaction how can you claim to know the man and his motives?…”

It’s immaterial what either one of us think his motives are for evangelizing atheism (perfect description). You indulge him. That’s your prerogative.

“I forgot about the coliseum. That idea never really took off very well.”

Well that’s the end of that conversation.

  255. Interesting tid bit.
A sniper aiming at pool man would require different calculations at Lake Baikal than the greater Maricopa County metro. Solely due to the fact that the world is in fact a sphere and not flat.

  256. Alfie, fair enough. We aren’t Volucans and feels are part of the equation.

But Fascism does not appolgize for ditching rationalism. Brags about it. And I think we can agree that a Nazi rally revolved around an emotional response on a a level unmatched anywhere else in the political universe.

  257. Believe it or not, Tex, I am natures most humble servant. I claim to know nothing of her most profound mysteries. I limit myself to provable biological and scientific phenomena. Everything I refuted in that list fits that category.

Good Lord, Rutherford, your mindset is the height of arrogance and that is biblical too. Your list you provided “proves” nothing and accepts only your conclusions as even possible, as if somehow what you conclude would limit an Almighty God.

And yet, we are left with the supernatural phenomenon called space, time and matter that cannot be explained by any scientific phenomenon, a universe that cannot be explained by an physical construct, life which cannot be explained by any biological proof other than it exists, and a man named Jesus who claimed to be limited by none of these and apparently was able to prove it thousands upon thousands of eye witnesses.

Has there ever been any proof of Christ’s claims being refuted, like feeding the masses with a few fish, causing the blind to see and the deaf to hear, raising someone from the dead? If Christ was simply a lunatic, why did the Sanhedrin, his own people fear him enough to lie for his execution or Rome fear Him the message had to be silenced at what was to follow? Christians didn’t overthrow Rome by the power of the sword, but the content of the message – so much so, Rome became the central location of the nascent Christian movement. Do any of these things strike you as unique? They should.

Let’s take your observation that Christ died faster than those executed alongside him. Could it be that his faith in God was so strong that he succumbed to death more willingly than his fearful peers, crucified next to him?

Are you even familiar with the story of the crucifixion? The man was practically flogged to death before His crucifixion – and He claimed to be fully in human in addition to His claims of being God. If you understood the means of execution, you would understand why Christ died so quickly. It’s really hard to breathe when you have suffered a massive loss of blood.

  258. @ Rabbit I think you misread me. I think one can definitely look at fascists and recognize how they used peoples feelings to motivate people. I called for separation of the statements because I felt Rutherfords was entirely different and that his view would need to accept other factors that may or may not embrace emotion at the same level of fascism and reading that as I type it even I’m confused so perhaps never mind lol.
Ultimately a Nazi rally isn’t the same thing as say “weapons of mass destruction….” I’d also put forth that say the fervor of Yellow Journalism and jingoism surrounding the inciting of the Spanish-American War falls well short of fascism of Hitler or Mussolini. I don’t think that is purely American denial bias either.

  259. I know this is contrary to my previous statement but @ Tex how do you feel about the Bibles take on the Crucifixion specifically I think Isaiah (wicked paraphrasing here sorry) not pierced or bone broken and the historical reality of how horrifyingly ugly crucifixion is and is more than hinted at in the NT all things considered Jesus clearly suffered upon the Cross?

  260. Isaiah and Psalms, Alfie. And more proof the prophetical accuracy of the statement…Crucifixion was reserved for the worst of the worst, as to the brutality – and was disallowed against Roman citizens it was considered so horrendous.

Rutherford should read Isaiah 53 written 700 years before Christ and tell me exactly who he believes Isaiah was talking about if he is absolutely sure all of this is bunk.

  261. It is organic, has a purpose but is a mangled detrimental mess if not monitored and trimmed aggressively.

And this is why all governments including ours hit rough patches. Governments are “monitored and trimmed” by flawed humans. The minute the desire for power, inherent in being human, enters the equation, some degree of hell is likely to break loose.

  262. Mick West of Metabunk has been proven many times a fraud and government shill. His deceptions are well-documented and easily found with a quick internet search. The fact that he is ET’s go-to-guy for debunking, casts suspicion on the character ET who seems to have as much time on his hands as Mick does, which can be evidenced by again winning the comment contest on this very blog.

I have nothing personal against anyone. We all have purpose. I have given effort to share what I am finding as truth here for seven years and have been mostly met with ridicule. I have no regrets. It has served to challenge and strengthen my faith. There is no better drug than adrenaline. I do detest those who parrot the official versions of events without question as if somehow patriotic, making it their job to defend those ridiculous narratives. They have no interest is truth or free speech.

If conspiracy theories are wrong, why are they treated as a threat and given to much effort and resources by the government to debunking?

What does fake news even mean?

There is only opinion and observable tangible evidence.

I have found hundreds of pictorial evidence proving a flat earth.

They show miles of horizon [what is the origin of this word?!?] with no apparent curve left or right.
If there actually was curvature, it would be evident in the horizontal field.

Every sighted human has the ability to test for themselves whether the horizon rises to their eye level no matter how high one rises above the flat earth.

The vastness of the sky and earth ALWAYS converge at our eye level.

Mick, ET, and Alf ie would have you believe it only ‘rolls’ away from you as if we are somehow on a cylinder staring in one direction. This defies logic.

The law of perspective blows their opinion out of the water.

Mathematics can easily disprove them. Their own calculations do not support their theoretic globe.
They consider a 6 inch fall in elevation per mile, as if a sphere recedes incrementally as do steps.

Santa Catalina’s shore on a clear day 22 miles away from the pier at Santa Monica has been captured.

Many views of shorelines appear in photographs captured from the various Hawaiian Islands.

    Salt flats

and frozen lakes defy opinions claiming curvature.

Do your own test and keep your eye on that BIGGER screen…

  263. One last question from me on this topic and I’ll ask it here so I don’t contaminate the new thread.

Poolman what is the agenda of those insisting on a spherical earth? If you know the truth and flat earth is it, why is 99.9% of the scientific community against you? Are they all falsifying data like Tigre says the global warming scientists are?

  264. Why is there evil in the hearts of men?

The masses are only controllable by deception, Rutherford. It has been that way for millennia. They must get us to perceive we are powerless so that we put all our faith in government and their science. What better way than to tell us how insignificant our home and existence is?

Real science is about truth and discovery, no matter what it finds.

NASA has an annual budget in the billions. Who would pay for space exploration if they knew it did not exist?

These are observations on my part. The truth is in the science of discovery. We all can learn without someone telling us what we see and perceive.

  265. Trust me, that is not what Holy Writ says, as it would have been rejected long ago if it did.

Why should anyone trust you over the Word? There is plenty of flat earth truth in the ‘Holy Writ’. Apparently you have not done research. Fortunately others have and there are many that have provided their findings free on the internet. There are dozens of references in the Word that support the snow globe, but no references to support your globe theory. If it were true there would be mention. Maybe you can come up with one, because the one you mention is not.

The circle in Isaiah 40:22 doesn’t mean a ball, otherwise Isaiah 22:18 would have used the same term. Ecclesiastes 1:5 tells us the sun rises and sets and then hurries back to where it rises. The story of the tortoise and the hare is based on the circuits of the sun and moon over a flat circle earth. The sun traveling in a circuit over the earth negates your heliocentric theory.

Your spinning ball theory was rejected by the church and still is among many believers and truth seekers. It has only been in the past few centuries that secular science has influenced the organized church to the point where they accept all the state’s official science and version of historical events. Today most are 501c organizations that can’t oppose the state for fear of losing their tax exempt status. Essentially the organized church has been mostly rendered powerless.

But that is changing today at a rapid pace as was prophesied in Daniel 12:4

  266. That is what your science says. From wiki:

“Outer space has very low density and pressure, and is the closest physical approximation of a perfect vacuum.”

Why is noon not midnight in 6 months?

  267. Can’t explain it, can you? Too many impossibilities. Real science is provable.

Some interesting numbers regarding the heliocentric hoax:

The angle of the earth’s tilt is supposedly 66.6 degrees.
The earth is supposedly traveling around the sun at 66,600 mph.

  268. Not so. The earth is said to turn on an axis once every 24 hour day. If you are circling the sun completely in a year, in 6 months you would be opposite of your point of origin.

    Midnight would become noon.
In another 6 months it would be midnight again.
Gradually throughout your 182.5 days it would be shifting to noon or midnight.
It cannot be any other way. This is provable science and simple enough for kids.

  269. How so? There is an illustration ^^^ I posted.

The tilt was added to the theory to account for seasons. It would have to SPIN at a different rate to have one hemisphere face the sun at the same time every day.

Don’t you have balls to play with?

What's on your mind?
