Let’s Stop Dicking Around About Weiner

twitter-pixelAs I watch the coverage of Anthony Weiner’s bid for nomination as candidate for New York City Mayor I am frankly fed up with the politically correct nonsense that just about everyone is spewing. Let’s engage in some straight talk.

The Hypocrisy of Liberals

What do we hear about Anthony Weiner now from liberals? He was never all that much. He only introduced legislation that helped one of his constituents. To listen to the current chatter, you’d think they always thought of him as a total loser. Let’s take a trip in the way-back machine to 2009 when one of Weiner’s loudest current critics treated him like an intellectual genius on MSNBC’s “Hardball”.

Chris Matthews wasn’t alone in his admiration for Weiner back then. The fact is in 2009 to 2011 Weiner was the liberal media darling. He was outspoken, brash and more intellectually sharp than his fellow loudmouth Congressman Alan Grayson. Liberals like me delighted in Weiner taking on Joe Scarborough on “Morning Joe”. He was the go-to guy on health care reform for every political talk show. When his penis got the better of him in 2011 I wasn’t angry with him. I was horribly disappointed and mournful that a passionate articulate voice from the left had been silenced by his own foolishness. Many liberals felt the same way I did. But today they are fair-weather friends and hypocrites and honestly, that disgusts me far more than a bunch of dick-pics.

The Victimization of Women Part 1

Sydney Leathers is some kind of victim? Are we serious? She exchanged, let me repeat, exchanged lewd content with Weiner. Again, I have to point to the idiocy of Chris Matthews who asks “do women do this stuff on the Internet?” Yeah, Chris they do. Women can be every bit as horny and twisted as men and it’s wild to me that Ms. Leathers is seen as some sort of innocent victim by some in the media. She’s a female perv. End of story.

The Victimization of Women Part 2

Oh poor Huma Abedin, the put upon wife of Anthony Weiner. Sorry folks I’m not buying it. I’ve watched the face of the “good wife” as she stands by her sleaze bag husband (roll the tape of David Vitter please) and the face screams “get me out of here — my husband is a jerk”. Some wives like Jenny Sanford tell their cheating husbands to go to hell quite publicly. Huma has done neither of these. She took to the microphone to defend her husband and promote his candidacy for Mayor. And while she may be right that her recent press conference was her first, she has hardly been in the background in this campaign. She has been front and center trying to repair her husband’s reputation. Huma, in my opinion, is not much different from her mentor Hillary Clinton. Both of these women know they are married to kinky men and it’s a price they are willing to pay for the political spotlight. I’m not suggesting that Huma and Hillary don’t genuinely love their husbands. Marriages are complicated. But I don’t sign on to this notion that either woman is a victim. They both have made choices that I think make them far more calculating than their foolish impulsive husbands.

Let She Who is Without Sin Throw the First Stone

What I am about to say is going to get me in trouble with a lot of people so let me preface my comments with two facts. First, I believe gay people should be left the hell alone to live as they please and to marry who they love. Second, I have a real problem when traditional victims of oppression get all judgmental about other people. I cannot abide it when blacks and Jews don’t support each other because they should have a visceral understanding of the other person’s pain.

With that out of the way — where the hell does Anthony Weiner’s opponent Christine Quinn get off being high and mighty about him? Christine Quinn is the first openly gay City Council Speaker in the history of New York. Please let me remind Ms. Quinn that if we rewind only five or six years, she would not have a Popsicle’s chance in hell of running for Mayor of New York. The fact is a sizable silent minority of folks consider Ms. Quinn a deviant. She knows that or at least she should if she’s not stupid. So maybe the sexual practices of others should be off-limits to Ms. Quinn? Most sexual behavior is driven by deep-rooted urges. No one sends pictures of his penis over the Internet on a whim. No, I am not drawing a complete equivalency between being gay and being an exhibitionist but of all aspects of human behavior, I would think sexual behavior would be the one area that gay folks are most empathetic about.

To put it bluntly, we know we have reached a new civil rights plateau when gay folks go on TV and call the other guy a pervert.

The Last Bastion of Civil Rights

And that brings me to my final observation regarding Weiner’s own behavior. Just as gay has become the new black, I predict that pervert will become the new gay. Weiner’s latest tactic on the campaign trail is to say that if he can withstand the scrutiny and criticism he is currently undergoing, just think what a strong Mayor he will make. He is essentially saying “I was a pervert and if you don’t like that, don’t vote for me but I’m much more than that”. You have got to give him credit for chutzpah. The only thing really getting in his way right now are the clearly insincere apologies for his past (?) behavior. Once he declares his sexting a life style choice and tells folks that if his wife can live with it then everyone else should mind their own business, he will truly be liberated. He can emerge as the persecuted pervert, declare his position as another victimized minority and forge a new civil rights path.

All joking aside, we live in a strange country where Silvio Berlusconi’s “bunga-bunga” parties brought a smile to our faces but Anthony Weiner’s brand of kink gives us the willies. I’m annoyed Weiner resigned back in 2011 and I’m actually glad he’s sticking around this time. If you don’t want a kinky guy who behaves like an adolescent on the Internet as your Mayor then don’t vote for him. But please, stop all the politically correct posturing, revisionist history and hypocrisy.

Respectfully,
Rutherford

  1. “I have to point to the idiocy of Chris Matthews who asks “do women do this stuff on the Internet?” Yeah, Chris they do. Women can be every bit as horny and twisted as men”

Obviously Chris Matthews isn’t as experienced as you are with women, Rutherford (let that soak in a while)….which might explain why some men give him tingles.

“Just as gay has become the new black, I predict that pervert will become the new gay.”

It already is. Gay people used to get sent to shrinks. Now “perverts” go to rehab, which is the next best thing.

The mayor of San Diego, California (A Democrat..I have to add that because the media won’t tell you) has to go to rehab because he has been groping women for years.

He wants the city to pay for it..and his legal fees. He says its because, as a city employee…he was never briefed on appropriate workplace conduct.

    And he refuses to resign.

We’re to the point where people need to watch a video in order to know it isn’t cool to grab a woman’s tits at work? While I know it is a BS excuse, that it is one that he might legally get away with using is what gets me.

  2. Rutherford although you point out some of the hypocrisy I was left wondering if you really get the depths of it. I got a doubting vibe going as you offered up some seeming deflection for Weiner especially with some of the crazy regards the gay opponent and her camp.
I really get the sense you have the aptitude for a political shift except that you seem to hold out some hope for a liberal/progressive savior. More the pity.

  3. “He was the go-to guy on health care reform for every political talk show.” -R

    yeah. awesome.

  4. I’m not being snarky…..do liberals still defend Obamacare? I thought that one was mutually agreed to be an utter disaster.

Shouldn’t anyone who was a spokesman for such a disaster do this?

  5. The big nothing burger. LOL Another invented scandal. 😈

They’ve got to ignore John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Jesse Jackson, and now Anthony Weiner.

I miss Breitbart – they tried like hell to discredit the man, could not, and from the grave still haunts the liars and rank propagandists like Chris ‘Sissy’ Hayes.

Rutherford, you become a fan and it’s like the kiss of death. 🙂

  6. I get back and notice O’s hitting the links while chatter from AQ on high. I call B.S..

Trotting out phony terrorist threats to divert attentions from the “phony” scandals. A big nothing burger.

  7. Not so fast there, Tex.

That’s how he handled Benghazi too.

Shit. That’s how he handles every crisis/threat.

And when it comes to ignoring, let’s not forget Eric Massa, Eliot Spitzer and Jim McGreevey.

    Tickle Fight!!!!!!!!

  8. “Rutherford, you become a fan and it’s like the kiss of death. 🙂 ”

Count your lucky stars then that I haven’t gone out too strong for any GOPers. 🙂 Better start keeping my love for Chris Christie to myself.

Then again I’m still scratching my head on the fight he picked with Rand Paul.

  9. “Trotting out phony terrorist threats to divert attentions from the “phony” scandals. A big nothing burger.”

Kinda reminds me of Bush trotting out the Bin Laden tape in 2004. Such convenient timing on that one. 😉

  10. “”But I really hope real life hasn’t taken too much of a toll.” -ET ”

This from the prior thread. Life has certainly smacked me about in the past 7 years.

2006 – Had permanent hole drilled into my neck — haven’t been quite the same since.

    2007 – Got laid off.

2011 – Forced to sell my beloved home. On and off bouts with IBS then ensued.

Jan 2013 – Forced to put my biz on back burner and work exhausting job for grocery money.

June 2013 – Wife is told she will be laid off end of September.

Every time I hit bottom the bottom falls out. No pity party here. Just the facts.

In 2012 I voted for Obama as lesser of two evils and buyer’s remorse continues. I have already warned my wife that I may not vote for Hillary if that is the 2016 choice. I keep reminding myself of what a nasty customer she was back in 2008. She got rewarded for crying in New Hampshire. Had she been a man she would have been declared mentally unstable and drummed out of the race.

The GOP bench in 2016 is deep. I could vote for a few of them (Bush, Rubio, Christie) and not lose too much sleep.

In answer to G, the radio show as a weekly endeavor is dead. I don’t have the energy and every week became an exercise in trying to explain the presidential train wreck. I got tired of it and I bore the lions share of responsibility for its content. I will continue to record occasional podcasts as the mood strikes me. Sandi still has access to record as well but I doubt she will. She never much liked doing the show solo.

So to make a very long story short, yes life has taken its toll but I’m not done yet. I am becoming more sensitive to liars on both ends of the spectrum and that will likely be reflected in what I write here henceforth.

Tiger just won another tournament, God bless his horny ass. I think I heard he’s 3 short of Sam Sneed’s record. Being a sexual scoundrel seems to be a performance enhancer. I think I’ll start sending dick-pics post haste. 🙂

  11. The mass embassy shut down reminds me of MA coming to a halt in the immediate aftermath of the marathon bombing. Overreact because if any shit goes down fingers will be pointed.

  12. I value my weekends more than ever now. Today I was awakened to the news that my daughter’s first pet goldfish Num-Num has met his maker. Like an ass I tell my kid that I accidentally fed the fish a small sliver too much food yesterday. She declared me a fish murderer. (From what I’ve read the fish probably died from being in too small a bowl.)

Then we spend the next hour locating the TiVo remote which the kid had misplaced.

I’m now sitting out on the small slab of concrete that serves as our front patio trying to get some fresh air.

This past week on the job both my tech advisor and my immediate supervisor quit. In this economy folks are quitting their job. Blows my mind.

  13. I don’t know if I mentioned this on the prior thread but I enrolled in another Coursera MOOC only to discover I missed the start date by 3 weeks. Spent last weekend watching 3 weeks worth of lectures to catch up.

This time it’s “History of Rock Part 2”. I know as much if not more than the professor so far.

  14. I think I’ll start sending dick-pics post haste.

Send your first ones to Graychin. I understand he’s into that kind of thing, though you’re probably about 40 years too old. 😯

They tell me Densico likes a little shortbread of the side too. Safer than Hoing.

  15. Occupy while I am willing to call Obamacare a clusterfuck I am also hearing it is ALREADY lowering health care costs in some states. I believe California is one. I’d be interested in Huck’s local perspective.

  16. He wasn’t thrilled with my last NAACP piece. 🙂

Of course not. You being black and not marching in tune is a big no no. Graychin is one of the deified whiteys from on high – living within a zipcode of zero Black Americans. 😆 I still find it funny I busted his wrinkled ass for that, phony bastard.

I’ve never met a more sanctimonious, do-as-I-say and not-as-I-do blowhard that Graychin.

I wonder what happened to Jackboot’s ignoramus toady, Yeller Dawg? Wonder if watching all that Faux News rotted Yeller’s brain and he met face to face with the grim reaper wearing a Spaghetti Monster t-shirt?

  17. “I really get the sense you have the aptitude for a political shift except that you seem to hold out some hope for a liberal/progressive savior. More the pity.”

I’d like to think that Obama has made me savior-averse. I do not like the intersection of capitalism and social Darwinism that you seem comfortable with. My ideal economic system identifies poor people as folks who failed despite an abundance of opportunity to succeed — not folks who failed because they were starved of opportunities.

I will continue to gravitate towards leaders who want to help people help themselves out of poverty. If you want to call that a savior, so be it.

  18. “Then again I’m still scratching my head on the fight he picked with Rand Paul.”

Maybe it’s to distract from the fact that his Senate appointment voted for amnesty.

Christie challenged Paul to sit with the 9/11 widows and explain to them why he is against the NSA spying on Americans (which is a stupid argument to begin with).

I challenge Christie to sit with war (take your pick which one) widows and explain to them that he doesn’t think the freedoms their loved ones died to protect are worth protecting. When framed that way, Christie loses, hands down.

Chris Christie is an overly aggressive big mouth. I say overly, because a measure of aggressiveness is good. But he takes it too far, and (I think) it causes him to miscalculate….which is not good. I think Rand Paul is a lot more calculating, especially now. As far as I know, most of the things he could be hit with in a campaign are from days before he really came onto the national scene.

  19. “Occupy while I am willing to call Obamacare a clusterfuck I am also hearing it is ALREADY lowering health care costs in some states. I believe California is one. I’d be interested in Huck’s local perspective.”

Huck can barely feed his family right now and can’t even think about affording health insurance.

I wisely bought a year’s supply of my pills from the school pharmacy before I graduated in June. Hopefully it won’t take that long for me to find something.

The school doctor I was seeing advised me to try and get a job that deals with the medical industry. He literally told me, “if you don’t do that, you should move out of the state, because those are going to be the only jobs we have soon.” He also told me that seeing a doctor will be tough because the system is not ready for the implementation of ObamaCare. “I don’t care about the politics,” he said. “I’m just telling you the facts.”

An Indian guy. I really liked him.

  20. Rutherford says:
I’d like to think that Obama has made me savior-averse. I do not like the intersection of capitalism and social Darwinism that you seem comfortable with. My ideal economic system identifies poor people as folks who failed despite an abundance of opportunity to succeed — not folks who failed because they were starved of opportunities.

This isn’t the first time you’ve broad brushed with the catchy capitalism social Darwinism thing and I am really going to need you to explain it to me especially given your closer which seems complimentary rather than contradictory of the point.
Perhaps you could try for a promotion at work? I know if the opportunity arose I’d bail on the company I have a 10 year relationship with. I don’t think the angst of the serfs is so hard to understand even in light of the economy. I imagine every generation has a moment where they think the end is near and perhaps its just my turn but seriously I have a mega hard time trying to see any light at the end of this tunnel, even the proverbial locomotive headlights you see right before you’re run over.

  21. Christie would undoubtedly play a number of the libertarian scare cards that Paul may or may not be able to explain or defend. That’s my 2 cents on that one

  22. Tawana Brawley garnisheed (Is that really a word?) and ordered to begin paying her defamation award to the prostituting attorney Pagones. Only 25 years too late – not too bad for the US “justice” system, I suppose . . .

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/aug/4/tawana-brawley-who-faked-rape-begins-defamation-pa/

Now what we really need is for Al Sharpton to step up and help her pay off her debt, since he agitated this whole cluster-intercourse.

Oh, I forgot – agitators use the, “Let’s you and him fight” method. They don’t actually get involved otherwise, or take any responsibility.

The fact that PMSNBC gave the Right Reverend Sharpton a TV show just drives the last nail in their already-very-decayed credibility coffin.

I need to run up to Richmond sometime next week to take care of some business. Maybe I’ll pop over to the hospital and get a sneak pix of the lovely and nubile Ms. Brawley for youse greasers to drool over.

  23. Well, well, well. I see that the FBI may be hacking Tor.

    http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2013/08/freedom-hosting/

Of course, it only is able to exploit machines running that legacy code called Windows. So far it would appear modern Macs are immune, but we’ll see.

Better button up your pants, R – the gub’ment is looking.

I hereby nominate Eric Snowden for the Nobel Prize in humanitarian deeds, and if they don’t have that category, well they should.

  24. Want to hear a scary medical story?

Today, I went to my mother’s house to find my father, quickly failing, virtually comatose. The primary care physician doesn’t want the liability and told my mother to take my father to minor emergency.

They hook dad up and feed him 1,500ml of NaCl – standard policy. He at least is not in a stupor but I literally have to carry him from the wheel chair to the table. Tomorrow, hospice will be contacted.

My father is deathly allergic to penicillin – put him in anaphylactic shock about 40 years ago – touch and go. It’s the first thing mentioned by his family during admittance.

After we had been there six hours or so (radiology and the like), the doctor recommends a systemic antibiotic. Dad is already taking ABs for a urinary tract infection. Since he was so dehydrated, we could get no urine sample and the blood culture takes some days to test. I have no problem with the prognosis, and in fact, found the emergency doctor quite good.

The nurse comes in, ask me to roll him over as the shot needs to be administered in the hip. I ask the nurse what AB she is administering out of nothing but curiosity….

    “Penicillin.”

I said, “Do you guys even read the charts?” “Why? Is your father highly allergic to penicillin?” “Oh, how about no pulse for starters?”

She turns ashen. I’m not kidding.

Good grief. My dad would be dead right now if I hadn’t asked. My mother was beside herself. She has completely given up on the medical profession. I about have too. And this at Tulsa’s highest rated hospital.

  25. Sorry to hear that, Tex.

Makes the rant about the White House likely making threats against the press pool resulting in no questions today regarding CNN’s big story last week kinda small beans.

  26. “You’re the last person who should be cracking wise about the FBI looking on here.”

That’s good, because that isn’t what I said.

Read it again, and this time try to elevate your understanding above public-school level.

  27. That’s pretty scary, Tex. Dying at the hands of the medical and pharma industries has become a big killer of Americans nowadays. I think it has surpassed most every other thing. Our life expectancy has also dropped significantly for the past several years. Hospital at fault deaths surpassed gun and automotive deaths combined. It is statistically more life threatening to enter our health care system than a war zone.

  28. Pfessor……it has nothing to do with intellect or education. You threatened one of us with the F.B.I. for nothing. Seeing a person who wrongfully threatens somebody with the federal authorities wax urgently about encroachment by those same authorities is a bit much, no?

You keep painting Hucking, a fellow atheist, pro choice conservative as a right wing loon when, in fact, its apolitical. Your man card has been revoked here…and despite the inherent shallow and ultra abstract nature of the Internet….a man card is a man card.

In reality, every person here is disgusted with you.

  29. “Seeing a person who wrongfully threatens somebody with the federal authorities wax urgently about encroachment by those same authorities is a bit much, no?”

Seeing that same person wax on about elevated understanding is a bit much, as well.

He can’t tell the difference between a direct threat and a comment about civil war and then has the nerve to tell me to elevate my understanding above a public-school level.

  30. Tell me, PF. What level of understanding should I have when you comment about the FBI hacking someone..followed by a link about the FBI looking at web sites…followed by a comment about “the gub’ment” looking in on Rutherford’s site?

Is the FBI no longer a part of “the gub’ment”? Are there some lines written in braille that my monitor didn’t pick up?

What kind of Obama-like genius were you getting at, which seemed so obvious, yet was so far above my comprehension?

Or do I need to email you to find out the answer?

  31. Rutherford, this was a well thought out post. What is most disheartening is the factor that not only is Weiner a pervert, his actions have not been condemned. There was a time any hint of such behavior was an immediate dismissal from public life. Apparently that is not the case anymore. Do we seriously lack morality or have we just come to accept bad behavior from those in the public eye?

  32. Tex, so sorry to hear about your Dad. As to the penicillin, no they don’t read the charts. I have a similar allergy to penicillin and about 40 years ago knowing my history a doctor put me on Ampicillin. Go figure! Medical charts used to have big red letters indicating allergies. Now the information is just part of your computer chart. I now carry the information with me attached to my insurance cards.

There is big business in the patient advocate field.

  33. “Or do I need to email you to find out the answer?”

You’re not smart enough to: a)find the answer yourself, or b)understand it if I give it to you, so don’t waste your time emailing anybody.

    **********************

” Your man card has been revoked here…”

    HAAAAA AAAAAA……HO HO HO HO HOOOOO….HEE HEEEE…….EEEEEEEE. Whoopie! That’s a good one!

MAN CARD??? That’s a joke, right? Card issued by whom? Revoked by whom?

News flash, Stud. There’s not a single player here qualified to issue a “man card” to an aardvark. This is for the most part nothing more than a sad little cadre of unemployed and underemployed middle-aged grannies, gossiping all day long because they can’t find much productive to do. Rutherford has a real job though, and we should all be on our knees thanking him for providing a venue for nuts like yourself to vent your pitiful spleen.

    Man card. What a concept… Heeeeee…….heeee…..sorry – can’t stop laughing….heeee…..

    ******************.

R – at Richmond airport, heading to Lost Wages for a writers’ conference. I’m giving a talk on “Getting Medical Details Right in Historical Novels.” It’s been thirteen months since I practiced medicine for money, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

I’m waving goodbye in the distance to my beleaguered former colleagues as they try to deal with Messiah-Care, feed their families, pay their loans and keep their sanity, all at the same time.

It’s not working. A little advice: don’t get sick – especially if you are old – because you’re a goner. I’m no Palin fan, but she was right on the money.

KRIC airport is, as usual, easy-peasy. A few storms in the area, but that’s the pilot’s problem this time, not mine. I did the pilot-in-command thing in enough damn clouds and rain last week to last me a while.

No lines to speak of, TSA folks pleasant and relaxed. Every time I fly out of here, I’m reminded of how much I like living in the South.

Have you considered moving out of that Chicago hell-hole? Everything is about 40% cheaper here, including winter heating costs in this very warm and pleasant climate.

    Cheers.

  34. Go figure! Medical charts used to have big red letters indicating allergies. Now the information is just part of your computer chart. I now carry the information with me attached to my insurance cards.

And why they stopped that, I have no idea. You know what excuse they provided, Raji? I’m not kidding on this one:

It was way up in the corner, buried. We missed it. 😡

Since my father all but dead, my mother and I just let it go and decided to call hospice. But good grief, had that been a dog on the table instead of an old man, people would have been outraged. As it is, we just shake our heads.

There is big business in the patient advocate field.

My brother and sister in-law had a horrible experience with an oncologist about six years ago. They practically begged me to forgo medical school and become a patient advocate, with the necessary credential and big mouth. Wished I had listened.

I’m getting perilously close to disdaining what we’ve done to medicine as much as what we’ve done to law.

  35. Is the FBI no longer a part of “the gub’ment”? Are there some lines written in braille that my monitor didn’t pick up?

What kind of Obama-like genius were you getting at, which seemed so obvious, yet was so far above my comprehension?

Or do I need to email you to find out the answer?

    😆 😆 😆 Braille posts…

Sometimes it is just better to remain perfectly quiet while observing the beat down.

  36. Doc’s devolution makes for some awkward moments up in here.

“Seeing a person who wrongfully threatens somebody with the federal authorities wax urgently about encroachment by those same authorities is a bit much, no?”

Well yea it is but remember this is the guy who voted for Obama’s first term wherein Obama’s first order of bizzle was to set his party about unleashing his signature Obamacrap leviathan as promised. To hear to him now you’d think he didn’t vote for the cursed thing.

  37. “I’m no Palin fan, but she was right on the money”.

Fiddlestiks. Palin may have been right on the money but clearly she did not exhibit Bozo Biden’s in-depth cognition that “This is a big fucking deal.”

  38. “Just as gay has become the new black, I predict that pervert will become the new gay. ”

This has been a point I and others have made hundreds and hundreds of times. Once Liberals get their foot in the door, there will be no stopping them. We will see a man legally marry a farm animal and all sorts of unimaginable deviant behavior in the next decade. It all starts with one “harmless” concession.

  39. “You’re not smart enough to: a)find the answer yourself, or b)understand it if I give it to you, so don’t waste your time emailing anybody.”

Much like your past “because I said so” defense, this one translates to “Yes, you are right. I’ve got nothing.”

Again…the guy who couldn’t understand that he wasn’t being threatened is suddenly riding a high horse about levels of understanding.

“News flash, Stud. There’s not a single player here qualified to issue a “man card” to an aardvark. This is for the most part nothing more than a sad little cadre of unemployed and underemployed middle-aged grannies, gossiping all day long because they can’t find much productive to do. Rutherford has a real job though, and we should all be on our knees thanking him for providing a venue for nuts like yourself to vent your pitiful spleen.”

And yet, even amongst our pitiful collection of people, you have absolutely zero credibility. You are forced to defend yourself with claims of “I am too busy being awesome to use even basic critical thinking skills.” You’re the joke of this entire group.

  40. The guy who tossed around “I can’t let this perceived threat go because I was a coal miner decades ago” is now tossing around “I don’t need to explain myself because you’re too stupid to understand me, anyway.”

Tell us, oh mighty pilot/editor/pornographer/x-ray technician/coal miner. How would your elitist bullshit go over in those coal mines you supposedly came from?

My guess is that it would go about as far as your “I’m gonna go tell my daddy you threatened me!” bullshit.

  41. Careful Huck. PF might dust off his “spelling contest” zinger.

    😆 😆 😆

What would you know? You’re an underemployed granny without a man stick.

  42. I comes here for the entertainment. Should have popped me some corn. 😀

You NSA guys munch while you read this shit? Just curious. I understand sarcasm is the toughest to algorithm. Have a most blessed day!

  43. No man stick? You mean it ain’t the motion of the ocean?

Underemployed granny? Now that’s offensive. I’ve been promoted well beyond my level of ability.

  44. Hey Rutherford, the president is here in our city making an appearance and another speech. Guess he’ll be here for a few more hours. Seems he ordered some cooler weather, I think it’s only 80 right now on my patio. These new cloud programs are pretty impressive. I expect things will get back to normal after he leaves town.

  45. On ground @ Lost Wages. Slots everywhere. Gambling machines, too.

    7. Weiner Calls Opponent ‘Grandpa’
There aren’t even any jokes left at this point. Anthony Weiner called one of his opponents “grandpa” on Tuesday night during a mayoral forum…sponsored by the AARP. The exchange got heated between Weiner and longshot candidate George McDonald after Weiner put his hands on McDonald’s chest as he walked by, with McDonald saying “don’t you ever put your hands on me again.” “What’s gonna happen if I do?” Weiner asked. “You have anger issues.” McDonald denied it, and Weiner then reportedly responded: “yes you do, grandpa.” McDonald used most of the debate to attack Weiner, claiming that he has better morals than Weiner and that he’s “embarrassed” to tell his 10-year-old granddaughter why Weiner is famous. McDonald could use the phrase he used last week, when he called Weiner a “self-pleasuring freak.”

  47. I can’t help but admire the absolute hubris of Weiner – a man apparently completely without shame, sense or remorse. A true psychopath and the perfect NYC politician. I hope they elect him as testament to the Democratic Party.

I mean, I haven’t read of any man this twisted since Je$$e Jackson was counseling Bill Clinton about his sex addition during the Lewinsky affair while paying slush from the Rainbow Account to quiet his mistress and their Love Child.

Even I have to admire chutzpah like that. 😈

  48. Any thoughts on the Reince Preibus stunt of threatening to pull debates from CNN and NBC if they go ahead with Hillary movie/documentaries?

    Seems juvenile to me.

  49. Its just the GOP debates and they shouldn’t be on networks that openly hate Republicans, anyway.

After Candy Crowley’s bullshit in the general election debates CNN should never be allowed to host any debate…ever.

And NBC..well…do I really have to say it?…

  50. What the hell do we need 2 Hillary movies for, anyway? Or even 1, for that matter?

Who the fuck cares about her life and how much she has allowed her husband to cheat on her?

What are they gonna do…show scenes of her dodging sniper fire in Bosnia?

What difference at this point does it make?

But seriously…Why run Hillary movies before an election unless running them is about the election? If it isn’t about the election then they can run them afterward.

  51. Huck and Tigre, I disagree. I think this is the perfect opportunity to do a big budget film on the Life and Times of Hillary Rotten Clinton with Paula Deen as Hillary.

We can start with ‘Rotten’s’ relationship with Saul Lewinsky during the radical days as Wellesley, the man she self-admittedly most admired, her days at the Rose Law Firm with wild claims of graft and corruption, the death of Vince Foster and her Tammy Wynette Stand By Her Man Routine, the vast right conspiracy, her uncanny investing ability in beef futures, turning a $1K investment to $100K virtually overnight, the death of Ron Brown, with a large focus on Lewinskygate.

  52. I went to a Penn & Teller show last night at The Rio. Superb magic, excellent comedy and a very pointed message about the Bill of Rights woven in.

They are selling the Bill engraved on a metal card that fits in your pocket and is guaranteed to set off metal detectors at the airport. When they wand you and find it, you are supposed to give it to them and say in a loud voice so everybody can hear, “I need to fly; here – take my rights” – and hand it to the TSA dude or dudette. Bit of a protest.

  53. “It’s ALWAYS about the election, Huck. I thought you knew that by now.”

I guess the phrase “rhetorical question” isn’t in your lexicon.

  54. “We can start with ‘Rotten’s’ relationship with Saul Lewinsky during the radical days as Wellesley, the man she self-admittedly most admired, her days at the Rose Law Firm with wild claims of graft and corruption, the death of Vince Foster and her Tammy Wynette Stand By Her Man Routine, the vast right conspiracy, her uncanny investing ability in beef futures, turning a $1K investment to $100K virtually overnight, the death of Ron Brown, with a large focus on Lewinskygate.”

Don’t forget her seat on the Wal-Mart Board of Directors.

Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be the movie we got, and we all know that.

  55. “Dodging bullets in Bosnia?”

    Yep.

“(CNN) — Sen. Hillary Clinton said she “misspoke” last week when she gave a dramatic description of her arrival in Bosnia 12 years ago, recounting a landing under sniper fire.

Clinton was responding to a question Monday from the Philadelphia Daily News’ editorial board about video footage of the event that contradicted her assertion that her group “ran with our heads down” from the plane to avoid sniper fire at the Tuzla Air Base.

Tommy Vietor, a spokesman for rival Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign, said the Bosnia claim was part of “a growing list of instances in which Sen. Clinton has exaggerated her role in foreign and domestic policymaking.”

Clinton told the paper’s editorial board it was a “minor blip.”

“I say a lot of things — millions of words a day — so if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement,” she said.”

Translation: I talk so much shit every day I can’t keep all straight. But seriously, what difference at this point does it make?

  56. Remember when Rutherford thought this was juvenile?

    Me either….

“Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.) yesterday joined former North Carolina senator John Edwards (D) in deciding to skip a debate scheduled for September that Fox News is co-sponsoring with the Congressional Black Caucus.

Liberal activists, particularly the online group Moveon.org, have called for Democratic presidential candidates not to participate in debates by Fox, which they say is biased against Democrats. Clinton campaign aides said she would participate only in the six events sanctioned by the Democratic National Committee and two other events she had already agreed to. Several candidates, including Edwards, last month withdrew from a debate that Fox was co-hosting with the Nevada Democratic Party and would have taken place in August in Reno.

Aides to Obama, Edwards and Clinton said the candidates will participate in a debate that the Congressional Black Caucus is co-sponsoring with CNN in January in South Carolina.

“CNN seemed like a more appropriate venue,” Obama spokesman Bill Burton said in explaining his campaign’s decision. “

  57. Huck is on a roll. I am home to do some work for a few hours, and then it will be back to Omaha.; Baby has slept for five to seven hours for the past few nights. Before that the longest interval she had slept was a little over two hours.

  58. “Translation: I talk so much shit every day I can’t keep all straight. But seriously, what difference at this point does it make?”

    LOL ok that was priceless.

  59. I guess the phrase “rhetorical question” isn’t in your lexicon.

Sure it is. Just a wee bit before “smart ass”.

  60. “Seems to be becoming the norm of late. I am seeing 2-3 of these a day now.”

That little punk chomped the cop.

Man….the stories my Dad tells… who was in a greaser gang in inner city Detroit, about the cops back in the day crack me up. It was just expected that you would get clubbed if you were loitering and looked like you were up to no good. Not saying its right.

If I ever bit a cop I would be pleading for them to put me in jail because my Dad would have savagely beat me.

  61. And to think he’s going to arm them in Syria.

With the blessing of many a neocon Republican. Do be careful about throwing stones in that glass house. 😉

  62. Ok I know this makes me a cad but I can’t resist commenting — has anyone noticed that the Mayor of San Diego looks like Shrek and the ladies he has harassed don’t look much better?

I swear if a book were written about this it would be titled “Sexual Harassment in the Ugly Club”.

  63. “With the blessing of many a neocon Republican. Do be careful about throwing stones in that glass house.”

    1) You act like Barack Obama gives a damn about what other people think

    2) You act like Barack Obama isn’t the Commander-in-Chief

    3) You act like Barack Obama isn’t in charge of foreign policy

    4) You act like I haven’t been talking shit about them over this issue, as well.

Barack Obama does what he wants. Unlike his predecessor, he continually circumvents congress and completely ignores the phrase “advise and consent”. Unlike his predecessor, he did not go to congress seek its advice and consent (which he’d have easily gotten) to intervene in Libya—and look how well that intervention has turned out.

George W. Bush was 10x smarter than Barack Obama. He gave himself political cover, went to congress, and both parties share the blame for his war decisions.

Barack Obama does things on his own. The fiasco that continues to be Libya is aaaaall on him. And when—I repeat—when the arming of Al Qaeda in Syria goes bad, that will be all on him, too.

No way in hell you’re putting 1 ounce of this on anyone else, my friend. Ain’t gonna happen.

  64. Old Graychin has followed me over to the Tulsa World board. I finally confirmed who this old fart really is. I may challenge him to a duel since he lives just down the road.

Guess who Graychin is married to? [Name redacted per request.] 😆

Now the stupid mofo is telling the Tulsa World board how “poor” I am. 😈

  65. “The NSA is taking steps to put in place a full-time civil liberties and privacy officer and release information that details its mission, authorities and oversight. And finally, the intelligence community is creating a website that will serve as a hub for further transparency. And this will give Americans and the world the ability to learn more about what our intelligence community does and what it doesn’t do, how it carries out its mission and why it does so.”

Is this going to come before or after the transparency website we were promised 5 years ago that was going to show us proposed legislation for 3 days before he signed it?

“With respect to health care, I didn’t simply choose to delay this on my own. This was in consultation with businesses all across the country…

We did have the executive authority to do so, and we did so….”

Yes, I distinctly remember that clause in the constitution. “The Executive may choose to ignore all or portions of laws at his digression as long as he has support of businesses.”

Can you believe the balls on this motherfucker?

“Congress?…we don’t need no stinking congress. All we need is the support of businesses….like the many that have donated to my campaigns over the years.

Yes, I know the law was written a certain way. But you know, we have to pass these things before we can identify the glitches in them. We’re kind of like Apple in that sense.

Of course…unlike Apple, who would just recall the entire product when it has glitches this big, I will just recall part of it. Those of you who want the whole thing recalled are racists. Just ask Harry Reid.”

  66. This 4th grade teacher has said it all, and she was brave enough to attach her name to it.

    The White House
    1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
    Washington, DC 20500

    Mr. Obama:
I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate representative of the United States of America collectively or of me personally.

You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United States of America . You are responsible to the citizens of the United States . You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth.

I personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their status in the world. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of Europe ? Are you brain dead? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all about? Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century?

Where do you get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution of the United States ? This country was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country, at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not understand this?

Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia …. You didn’t show Great Britain , our best and one of our oldest allies, the respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia .. How dare you, sir! How dare you!

You can’t find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation because you don’t want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque in Turkey …… You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from themselves. What’s the matter with you? I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of yourselves, all of you.

You are so self-righteously offended by the big bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.

What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to their staff members on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a 17% bonus. I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer. You haven’t said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn’t!
Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that’s $45 million more than the AIG bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded $51 million not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven’t you expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the economic mess we have right now?

I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we are getting increasingly fed up with all of you.

I also want you to know that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my beautiful country.

    Sincerely,
    Every real American
P.S. I rarely ask that emails be ‘passed around’……………..PLEASE SEND THIS TO YOUR EMAIL LIST……it’s past time for all Americans to wake up!

  67. Remember the good old days when many of us hated the Russkies? Seems like long ago now. I was so jingoistic back then, I didn’t want America just to win the gold medal. I was disappointed when we didn’t win every medal.

The malignant narcissist Obama is so inept, rotten and corrupt, I actually find great joy in watching the ultimate Russkie, Putin, smack Obama around and put a foot up Obama’s ass.

    My, how times change.

  68. Putin actually has a better record of promoting peace than Obama. Of course, I don’t think he got a prize for it. Of course there is a record of war criminals getting peace prizes.

  69. “Putin actually has a better record of promoting peace than Obama.”
There is a really different scale available for this one but I hope nobody is saying Putin is a good guy.

  70. You guys should check out this new thing called Google. It’s friggen awesome! You type something into a little box and it searches the whole interweb for the stuff!!!11

  71. Just be careful what you put in the little search box. Don’t search pressure cooker and backpack unless you want a visit from the authorities.

  72. There is a really different scale available for this one but I hope nobody is saying Putin is a good guy.

Can’t speak for everyone Alfie, but I believe Putin to be a tyrant. However, for Americans personally, Obama is the bigger threat to liberty, freedom and prosperity.

Both of them deserve each other. But in a battle of the gladiators in the arena, I’m choosing Putin. 🙂

  73. I get Putin hasn’t had the big show events but he really is a prick and he is going to get worse as a number of variables play out. There is something to be said though of Vlads old school play out of events. This really showcased the serious shortcomings of the Obama administration .
On a related note I read a scathing article that slashed through the media, hypocrisy of the left and the GOP v Dem thing. Can you imagine if Bush or Romney or any (R) was in the Oval and a major US city (Detroit) went bust and a major FP f#*~¥ up occurred. Undoubtedly he would be painted a racist, aloof turd but not O baby!

  74. Putin isn’t drone striking anyone but any number of Chechens,Ossetians ,Georgians and Ukrainians probably could enlighten you. I would also say press freedoms etc not Vlads strong suit.

  75. “Can you imagine if Bush or Romney or any (R) was in the Oval and….”

You can pretty much finish that off with a hundred things that have (and have not) gone on in the last 5 years and every example would show the left to be the partisan hypocrites that they are.

“I would also say press freedoms etc not Vlads strong suit”

It’s not Obama’s strong suit, either.

The only reason there is even an inch of daylight between Putin and Obama is because our system wouldn’t doesn’t allow Obama to go full Putin.

But he’s doing his best to try and get there.

In terms of setting precedence, Barack Obama is by far the most dangerous president this country has ever had. His supporters will realize this the moment someone else does what he has been doing.

  76. Another comparison similar to Huck’s is the three black boys who beat up a white boy on a school bus. It was captured on tape. Where are the black race baiters, including the president? Where is the press?

Iraq is falling apart mostly because our troops left too soon. Obama took credit for our departure after Iraq and the US failed to agree on terms of our staying.

Putin is an evil man, but I am rooting for him because Obama is as bad, Obama is a weakling and a bully. Anyone who can make our president look foolish is doing us a service.

Most of our press might as well be working for the old Soviet Pravda.

  77. Putin’s approach is the product of projecting weakness. It’s as juvenile and comical as Obama’s bullshit foreign policy campaign speeches that enthralled the unthinking masses.

    Reset. 😆

  78. Three black teens savagely beat a white kid, breaking his arm, on a school bus.

Allegedly this was because he had reported one of them for trying to sell him drugs.

So where the hell are Al Sharpton and the Right Reverend Jesse Jackson? Got the lockjaw again? Where’s The People’s President? After all, if he had a son, he’d look just like those three boys. Feh. Excuse me while I go vomit.

Videos like this, Rutherford, are precisely why young black men get killed, and why people with guns don’t hesitate to shoot them.

  79. I for one hate the idea that the cop, media and possibly the prosecutor is entertaining charges against the school bus driver. Hear me out folks. The driver knows where he stands with these thugs, their friends, parents and community. In the short embed he did indeed call and convey the importance of a proper response by 911 (“before they kill this boy”) He also albeit weakly implore the gorilla boyz to stop. Where some see a shitty adult I see a guy who has been taught the perils of being an adult amongst kids who are animals. If the bus driver whipped up some ass on that bus that day he’d be heralded in many corners but officially he would be suspended or fired. He and his employer sued to poverty and the same cracker FL Barney Fife shit bag in the video would arrest and railroad him.

  80. On Putin if I am reading ET right in #126 there is definitely something to that. Russia is in a bit of a weird combination pickle/perfect storm situation. On one hand they are in many ways slipping, descending as opposed to ascending on the world stage while China is clearly ascending. This coupled with the West’s wishy washy limpness allows a guy like Putin to do what he does and get props for it.
Has anyone else seen the articles and “outrage” we’re supposed to confront Russia on now. Not Syria arms sales or UN issues ranging from Iran to the oceans. No we’re supposed to be all up in arms over the Russian laws regards homosexuals with some calling for a boycott of the 2014 Winter Games.
How do you think the West having fainting spells over gay laws plays amongst the SCO countries? The answer is it makes us look weak and disreputable.

  81. On a FLA note even though he isn’t in office I can’t see how Jeb Bush survives a primary race let alone a general presidential election given how much low hanging fruit Florida offers slingers.

  82. “A full 20 seconds of research produced this…”

Thank you Huck. I could smell the hoax a mile away. Like I said, it served its purpose and gave Noah a hard-on. Mission accomplished.

Oh I forgot Snopes is a lying left wing propaganda POS. 🙄

  83. “Both of them deserve each other. But in a battle of the gladiators in the arena, I’m choosing Putin. 🙂 ”

Are you saying Putin is the more capable strategist (perhaps true) or are you rooting for Russia to invade the USA and take over?

    Please clarify.

  84. alfie @ 129. I agree with you completely. It’s like the whole system is down the tubes. What should be open-and-closed self-defense gets second-guessed to death. (Well, he’s a wannabe cop and likes to shoot people.) An out-and-out case of felonious assault gets a shrug. Where is the concept of “law and order?” We’re all being held hostage by the animals, their hired-gun lawyers and agitators.

  85. As noted, Putin has been playing from national weakness but Russia is stronger than it was. He is filled with macho bluster to hide his age- related failing physical prowess and Russia’s problems.. Saddam also did a little of that.

However, Putin survived and thrived in the Soviet system and succeeded in the KGB while benefactors handed silver platters to Obama.

I think Putin is a more capable strategist.

For me, I don’t think Russia will invade the US but anyone who reveals Obama’s inner weakness has my vote. A Russian official advised the United States to behave like grownups. Other Russians have warned us not to take the socialist path nor to relinquish our guns.

The IRS is still singling out TEA Party and other conservative groups, the administration refuses to let Benghazi survivors testify, and they spy on us all. How long will it be before it doesn’t matter if Russia invades us?

A Russian immigrant called a local talk show and said he has suffered discrimination as a new arrival, but since he is white, no one cares. Now, he owns a business.

He mentioned the white teenager who blacks beat, and said that for him blacks from the president on down are racists.

Passion Pit “Take a Walk” may be in many of our futures.

  86. Regarding the school bus beating….

Take a look at this CNN article without watching the video.

    Notice anything missing?

(Hint: The only mention of the word “black” are the 2 black eyes the victim suffered.)

It’s the same with this NBC article.

Don’t watch the video and see what text is missing from the article.

In both cases, the “victim” is simply that—a victim. And his aggressors are “youths” and “teens”. Just a bunch of kids doing what kids do.

Now don’t get me wrong….this kind of savagery is wrong, no matter who is doing it and who it is against. And I normally wouldn’t care about the races involved.

But we now live in an age of “white Hispanic” aggressors who slaughter angelic young boys who could have been our next black president. So these types of little omissions become not so little anymore.

  87. LOL I love how Noah spreads a bullshit viral email.

Hey whatever gets you off dude.

Is it your contention this is a false email? Did it fail to make any valid points or is the failure with you for your inability to make any point worth commenting on? I will, as usual, go with the later.

  88. I have to say Rutherford, of late you come off as a wannabe late night talk show host doing an opening monolog. You attempt to touch on important topics, often trying to come up with a witty reply, but never really digging in and offering up anything worth commenting on beyond the original OP. It is of course your blog, do as you see fit. Treat it all as one big joke, others I am sure will follow suit. It certainly worked on me. I can hardly take much of what you have to say seriously anymore. Its all just noise. Personally, I liked it better when you offered up a real opinion and took things on, even if you couldn’t back it up.

  89. Dude….Rutherford’s done. Defeated. Out of bidness as his black kinfolk like to say. Toast.

He probably has a year paid for web-hosting . Other wise he’s be gone.

The only thing that bugs me about Rutherford is that he doesn’t seem to totally grasp why he is wrecked. He should be the one bitching about CNN propaganda pieces sucking off Hillery the most because he was the one made to look like a total ass clown by the Obama cult the last time. And, man was it all a cult.

I highly doubt you will ever see Rutherford being a gushing shill again.

Quips. Barbs. Maybe even call the bull shit out every now and then. Superficially take the stance of a “liberal” because that’s the only “team” he has ever been on outside of corporate America and we know how well that turned out.

The man is done, Noah. His liberals ran away a long time ago.

He should erase all the blogs…all the times he was made a fool…hopefully all our comments too….. and just leave one word on this site:

    CROATOAN

  90. Alfie @#129 – I don’t support any charges brought against the driver but policy didn’t dictate that he remain in his seat and not to intervene. He could have pulled over and gotten out of his seat and went over to where the punks were beating up on the boy and stepped in there.

Huck @#137 – I reckon we’re lucky that the president and Sharpton et al don’t speak up at all about the beating. I really don’t want to hear that the beating was a natural result of an irredeemably racist society.

Alfie again @#130 – “Homophobia” is clearly the new public relations baton proggies are reaching for to wield against everyone who isn’t them.

    Huck again @ #136. Good catch! 😆

  91. Phooey. I tried changing my name to creepyasscrackaho and my comment went into moderation.

He could have pulled over and gotten out of his seat and went over to where the punks were beating up on the boy and stepped in there. I daresay his response was far too cerebral at best and fairly lilly-livered in any case.

Big time. He was a total pussy…afraid to be sued or get hit.

Bus drivers have it bad though.

I love breaking up fights. I want to get punched hard just to add a major excitement to my day…but it never happens. I think its because both combatants look into my eyes and can tell I’m a grown ass man so weird I want to take a punch just to test my middle aged jaw.

There is a certain monotony when working with teenagers. They respond the same ways every year to various stimuli. Just with hair cuts that look more ridiculous, to me.

So…I like when the crazy stuff happens. Which is very rare where I work.

  93. I dont want to see him delete the page or his posts. Its a good measure to see how we have grown, or not.

As for R being done, I don’t know. His side won. Not because they deserved to win, but rather because they American people failed themselves. They voted for image, and they voted because he was a black man. If Obama was a CEO, he would have been fired based on his performance. His performance was never put on trial. Just like any of the other events during his Presidency.

I think what we are seeing in Liberals is that this is a bitter win. I think they are starting to realize they did not win for the right reasons, and upon reflection this victory is starting to taste a little bitter. If a Republican had done half of what Obama has done, OWS would be revived on 10 times a larger scale, cities would be shut down, and they would be out with the torches calling for his impeachment.

Are we as Republicans/Conservatives right about the Left and Obama? Absolutely. Problem is is that it no longer matters to the majority. The Democrat platform has always been based on making the people need them. To that end, they have trashed this economy to the point that so many people need them that even someone like Obama can get elected despite himself. I think no matter who runs on the GOP ticket, we are in for 1 or 2 more 8 year terms of Democrat rule. Start collecting canning jars, you’re going to need them.

  94. I don’t think liberals are bitter about Obama’s reign. They think he’s done a good job. They brush aside the criticism of him as racist and believe that conservatives really hate women and minorities and that Bush + Republican obstructionism trashed the economy. They think Obama is super smart and a tough negotiator and a good leader who has restored our standing in the world. In their minds he cares about the poor and champions the concerns of the middle class. The most they’ll allow for is that he’s probably not perfect and that he is most certainly the lesser of two evils.

  95. “I don’t think liberals are bitter about Obama’s reign. They think he’s done a good job.”

Most of the left’s criticism of Obama is that he hasn’t done enough

They welcome and laud his unconstitutional overreaches. Who cares about that stupid document when there is an opportunity to stick it to those nasty RepugliKKKans?

This is all just a big game to them.

  96. I think people right of center do themselves a disservice overestimating the solidarity of the pack on the left side of center. They are at odds with themselves as much as being in harmony.

I would like to offer a counter to the thoughts shared here on the matter. I would propose that the Left in America is as much at a crossroads as the Right. They are on many levels being awakened to their hypocrisy and failures and as such are forming new camps as it were. One camp will play the three monkeys thing and toe the line but others are open to something more.

  97. “Phooey. I tried changing my name to creepyasscrackaho and my comment went into moderation. ”

Have no fear Ho I rescued you from moderation and even though it resulted in a dup comment it was worth it just to see your new moniker on the thread. 🙂

  98. This from the comments thread of the piece Huck pointed to:

“Red Pill, thanks for the suggestion of Sara Palin but I’m not gonna condemn her to the list simply because she might be a good Republican veep possibility. Once I actually see her stump for McCain on TV or in print, she goes on the list.”

LOL see? I actually once gave Sarah Palin the benefit of the doubt. 😆

  99. Mrs poolman is addicted to reading Yahoo comments. She says more and more folks that comment are waking up to the knowledge that the media is bed with the government and neither can be trusted. Too many baldfaced lies recently, I suppose.

  100. I agree with Huck and Muffy 145-6 except for one thing. It is not a game to them. They are serious and determined, at least the hard core are. The rest are casual followers.

  101. “I don’t think liberals are bitter about Obama’s reign.”

I spend the majority of my time now on a couple of debate pages. Anyone can post a topic and the host does so anonymously. For some time, Liberals would defend Obama tooth and nail every bit as hard as Conservatives would fight against him. In the past 3 months or so, When a topic of things like Obamacare, wire tapping, or the IRS come up, it is almost 100% devoid of Liberal commentary. I have posted 3 different versions of an Obamcare question myself that had a total of 1 Liberal comment that consisted of one word, “LIES!!!!”

I do think “some” are starting to come around, and like R, will no longer engage in trying to defend their once Messiah.

  102. Leftism is self-defeating as the papers and media are finding out the hard way now. And I think the analogy to Clinton and Obama vis-a-vis media is a good one.

Like the media, they have controlled the narrative by winning elections. And like the media, their way doesn’t work and eventually leads to bankruptcy. It’s a house built on sand.

The Tulsa World has recently had to admit their business model wasn’t working and they’re going broke. You can’t be a hardcore leftist newspaper in the best town of the reddest state, even if you are the monopoly and make a go of it forever.

As the great Margaret Thatcher once said, “Eventually, you run out of other people’s money.”

Liberals may think they own the national stage. But their model is collapsing before their eyes and most don’t even recognize it. Just a matter of time…if you’ve got the patience.

Unfortunately for all of us, I’m not sure we’ve got the time as a country – worse, unlike taking a subscription to the paper, you’ve got skin in the game whether you wanted to or not.

Obama will go down in history as a pariah, thug and major failure when it is finally written. Joe Biden will go down as a joke.

  103. Sarah Palin was mocked for saying Obamacare contained death panels. Paul Krugman and Howard Dean have admitted that it does contain rationing boards. This is only one example of the truth’s coming out in spite if a misleading press and politicians. People need to show the connection between press reports and the truth, to speed the collapse.

The entertainment industry has also largely defended the leftist agenda. So far, they are also losing money on what should have been hits. Granted studios make up for domestic losses in the world market and can sell memoribilia etc, but poor US ticket sales may be another sign of a change.

  104. There is collusion between Hollywood, the media, enforcement agencies, and our politicians. Anyone with a critical eye has figured this out by now. The CIA even helps write scripts for movies, as in the recent Zero Dark Thirty and Argo. All in the effort of shaping opinion and thought.

We are all being hoodwinked. Many are waking up to this fact, while most are still in denial. Willful blindness, for sure, or just plain ignorant.

  105. Harts Field Atlanta –

R – successful week in Sin City. We met and had dinner with three of our authors and had six more pitch to us on new books.

Slowly but surely, the smell of the medical latrine fades in the distance. Now we have to decide if we are going to stay in the States, or expat. The gub’ment can’t hold you over a barrel any more; we can do our business from anywhere on the planet.

Interestingly, the wife of one of the fellows I took with me to Oshkosh two weeks ago is a reformed OR nurse. Now she sells Geico Insurance. Her husband completely quit the contracting business because of taxes, laid off 17 workers and now spends full-time flying and working on airplanes as a mechanic-trainee. He runs his dozer just enough to buy airplane fuel. He tells me his taxes are negligible now.

What was that place where John Galt and the others went? Galt’s Gulch, or something like that?

    We’ll meet you there.

  106. George Bernard Shaw: “Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve”

Winston Churchill: “Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.”

Clement Atlee: “Democracy means government by discussion, but it is only effective if you can stop people talking”

Tom Stoppard: “It’s not the voting that’s democracy, it’s the counting”

Just a share thing from an article I just read. The article wasn’t that good but I found this one sidebar offering interesting.

  107. I see Poolman persists in the notion that the 20 dead Newtown kids are a figment of our collective imagination.

    Truly stunning.

P.S. I love the quotes from Alfie.

  108. I think the Shaw quote is the best one. I used to think some of our nuttier congress critters were simply off the reservation but I am beginning to believe they do represent the bunch of nuts who voted for them. (Town halls are where you see them on display.)

Take this as a nonpartisan judgment.

  109. “I am beginning to believe they do represent the bunch of nuts who voted for them.”

Which is exactly how the Framers intended.

Which is exactly what some of us have been trying to explain to you for years.

  110. I see Poolman persists in the notion that the 20 dead Newtown kids are a figment of our collective imagination.

Yep, staged terrorism and paying off big time. Do you know how much money has been donated? Unbelievable ROI! The story has totally fallen apart, but Americans are on to other things – short attention spans, and all.

  111. So Poolman humor me so I can understand just how diabolical the scheme was.

Are the 20 kids all being kept safe and sound in a bunker somewhere with periodic visits from family or did our government actually kill them? From the first five or so minutes of that video I watched apparently one of the kids is actually another kid named “Kevin”.

C’mon help me piece this together.

  112. “Which is exactly how the Framers intended.”

Call me a wide eyed idealist but somehow I don’t think the framers thought of the electorate as a bunch of ignorant nutjobs. Perhaps if they could have seen OUR countrymen through a crystal ball they might have scrapped this whole democracy thing?

  113. This country is still the best going.

Perhaps, but only because the rest of the world has sunk further into the muck. And I’m not even sure I would agree in its entirety with your conclusion. Yes, I can insult the President and laugh about it without having my head cut off (yet). That’s still a freedom most don’t enjoy.

But I also question our quality of life anymore and as to our children’s future? Bleak.

Like I told the T-World board as the libbies went apoplectic and Graychin implied me racist once again because I stated Big ‘O’ the failed President and MLK no saint …

…When I find myself rooting for Vladamir Putin to put another foot up the ass of Obama, and believe me I’m not alone in that opinion by any stretch; and you could substitute Joe Biden, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi in place of Obama – something is definitely amiss in this country anymore.

Frankly, there are large parts of this country I actively root against. I don’t remember that opinion ten years ago.

Are we better off than say before 9/11? Not even close.

  114. “Call me a wide eyed idealist but somehow I don’t think the framers thought of the electorate as a bunch of ignorant nutjobs.”

They thought of the electorate as white, male landowners.

And they knew some of them would be “nutjobs.” But as long as they were taxpaying nutjobs…they earned the right to representation.

They designed the system where even those nutjobs would get representation in the House. The House term was made 2 years to encourage speed. Government needs to get things done quick sometimes.

To balance out the speed and chaotic nature of the House, they created the Senate, with 6 year terms, to slow things down. Of course, later people came along and screwed with the system. The Senate was originally designed to represent the government of the individual states…not the people of the individual states.

In order for you to understand that the system works, you need to understand how the system works and why it was designed the way it was. Quit listening to the idiot Obama who tells you its broken and go read the Federalist Papers.

  115. This country is still the best going.

Perhaps, but only because the rest of the world has sunk further into the muck.

A very key point. If the rest of the world had held their ground, this would no longer be a true statement.

  116. I fly a lot, and every time I fly over this great country, I think to myself, What a Great Country it Is. I look down on tens of thousands of houses and think, What fine people live there; there is so much productivity in this country that they could all live like kings, but those bastards in Washington continuously screw it up for them.

Like Kennedy, I think of what COULD be and say, Why Not? It is almost inconceivable to me that every house, car, building I look at contains my countrymen, and that a few pricks in Washington are able to affect the lives of each and every one of them. Just makes me want to vomit.

  117. re 170, the kids are make believe, Rutherford. Just like ‘Noah’ is really a picture of Kevin from 12 years ago, some of the other kids are other people and some are purely fiction. We’ve never seen a crime scene and they aren’t releasing video from the school or any death certificates or autopsy reports.

It was a scripted event used to shape policy and public opinion. Many of the same people have been caught participating in other events and many of the publications and memorial pages were produced BEFORE the day of the supposed tragedy. There is a lot of debunking of this event on the internet.

Quit believing what they tell you. Unless you have first hand knowledge of anything, don’t believe what government tells you. The have a long-standing reputation for lying and covering over their crimes.

  118. This country would be the best IF we can remove the cancer that has taken over our government and that primarily convenes in DC. It may require breaking down into self-governing states all over again. But whatever is decided, we MUST cut off the sources that this cancer is living off of in order to eradicate it.

  119. I feel a pang of sadness for Tigre and BiC for the profession that pays their bills.

My father, to my great dismay and anger, is going to settle a law suit in which he is not guilty. The primary reason is that it will cost him less to settle than to continue to pay his attorney $300.00 per hour to defend him. My dad can’t even have a 15 minute conversation with him on the phone without getting charged $75.00.

The suit has been going on for about 2 years and from my non-legal background it’s an obvious shake down of an 85 year old man.

If I had the resources I’d sue the plaintiff for harassment and I’d sue my Dad’s attorney for malpractice.

    No justice at all. 👿

  120. R@#181 – if you don’t place the same value on your father’s lawyer’s work as your father’s lawyer does then simply go and defend your father yourself. It’s you that needs the lawyer, not the other way around.

    Yeah, things cost too much.

    ~

Can anyone explain to me why Senators McCain and Graham should not shut up and go away? Take Reid and Rangel with them for starters

    ~

“This country is still the best going.” -R

You got to give Obama some more time.

  121. “Call me a wide eyed idealist but somehow I don’t think the framers thought of the electorate as a bunch of ignorant nutjobs”.

Rutherford, at this point a person is only wide eyed by choice. We’ve all been to the circus now and we’ve seen the show.

I’d be willing to bet that the framers never imagined that those ignorant nutjobs would grow in numbers so much so that they would succeed in putting this apex jerk in office – twice. A man who has clearly demonstrated that he possesses a significantly different vision of the “best thing going” than the framers imagined. Along with an unhealthy dose of contempt for the framework itself.

  122. @178 it is ironic and sickening that those who preach about others repeating a lie until it is the truth are so blind to their own preaching.

  123. Muffy I don’t quite get your point but perhaps the best answer is “a man who lets his son represent him in court is a fool” … Kind of a twist on the man who represents himself in court has a fool for a client.

  124. ****Boring rant awaiting Tiger game. Better then playing Angry Birds.******

Rutherford, I hear what your saying. However, remember when I used to bad mouth lawyers all the time? Notice I don’t do it anymore.

Outside of the doctors that worked on my son’s blood disease and maybe Yankee closer Mariano Rivera, I’ve never quite seen professionalism like I did when I had a lawyer representing us. I told him that no matter the outcome I respect the way he conducted himself the entire time.

    I was very impressed.

I love seeing people who are great at their craft, no matter what it is.

Except for Poolman. He’s so sick, so intellectually twisted I wouldn’t jump in to save him if he was on the bottom of one of his sparkling new blue pools after an ill advised christening swim.

To include gunned down children in a fantasy so impossible…..it makes me feel dirty even being here. Throw in that Pfessor who could at any minute turn us into the Feds and cause humiliation for our families and professional life…..man. Plus, you had others from that Fat Grannies site (is it really called that?) trying to sabotage Rutherford’s work…..what a plague these people have been. Well….outside of James. There is a guy who sets a good example.

The Pfessor thing still really bothers me when I come here. Not for what he did, it’s because the guy refuses to apologize. It boggles my mind and still makes me nervous to post here. You could kind of see it in him with his earlier “because I said so” bull shit.

Yeah….he’s correct. This is the Internet. I am not a model citizen nor a producer. Just an abstract cyber entity, of sorts. I guess he’s right with his dismissal of most us. But he conintues to post here, often time telling us personal stuff. What the hell? Why?

Pfessor…..did you ever sign your son up for computer classes? The one who you allowed to have a cat. The grown man. Well….you know what they say….you can only lead a horse to water……

I wonder if John Galt had a son? Marcus Aurilious ended up with Commodus.

I hope when I’m Pfessor’s age, it won’t be me I’m bragging about, it will be my sons. I hope my son is John Galt. I don’t care if its business mowing lawns. Nothing would make me happier then seeing one of my boys employ people. I tell him that all the time. Pfessor is correct, Rutherford. We have nothing with out people able and willing to hire fellow Americans. Nothing. It’s so obvious yet I swear liberals don’t get it. This is also the biggest flaw in the educational system. Entrepreneurship should be drilled into kids. Because my Grand Parents survived as bar and party store owners, which was a tough go, the culture in my family growing up stressed being a civil servant as the model life. I think a lot of us 2nd generation types went that route. We lost some independence because of that.

You need Poolman, though R. He provides constant camouflage for your nothing burgers. Kind of hard to adress corruption and plausible conspiracies when ten percent of the country believe what Alex Jones says.

    So fucking sick.

Rutherford….serious question. Have you ever thought of starting over in blog land?

    Go Tigers.

  125. DR –

    Two things:

#1) “Never complain and never explain.” – Disraeli –

    > amplifying: “Your friends don’t need it and your enemies won’t accept it, so don’t give them the satisfaction.” – D. S., my childhood friend, now dead at the hands of A.T. Massey Coal Company.

#2) Welcome back to the dead blog. Yours would be comment #188, I believe, inscribed on the tombstone of the walking, running and dancing dead.

Really, now… your lack of resolve is appalling.

  126. Aw shucks, Doc won again!

(Somebody throw a blanket over this guy already.)

    ~

I would love to see a reporter ask Harry Reid the Paula Dean question. Vicious little twerp. (If there were such things as reporters anymore.)

I’d like to ask Joe Biden the same question – Mr. Vice President, have you ever used the N-word?

  127. ha ha…I wonder if hard ass Disraeli begged for secret email correspondence with guys like William Ewart Gladstone after a particularly scathing speech ripping him in front of the House of Commons….

Would love for why you sought our personal email addresses on more then one occasion.

As for the blog…maybe its not dead but it is kind of in a coma. It’s not all your fault. Rutherford is a working stiff now and severely let down by politics.

If by resolve, you mean me showing up here……..touché.

It is kind of a weird addiction. I don’t know about you, but I have no other internet hang outs. No facebook. Briefly had twitter. But no more. Everything else is face to face.

Disraeli also said life is too short to be little. Man is never so manly when he expresses himself with frankness…..

You finger wag us about respect but then threatened to do the most disrespectful, taboo thing imaginable to a public forum.

And dude….A hard scrabble coal miner doesn’t fantasize about being a Victorian Era politician fond of Realpolitik boldly standing up to the misfits at the Rutherford Lawson Blog. Laughable.

You are a fellow weirdo that comes here to argue and brag.

I remember one of the best things you ever wrote was about how the second amendment can ultimately play such a powerful role in keeping the exchange of ideas open. A year later its “because I say so” and threats of unleashing the brute force of the federal government. You suck, dude.

  128. I decided to play electrician on one of my jobs today and it kicked my ass. I could hardly get past the ditch digging part. I even had a jackhammer to help. Yikes, I am out of shape. I guess I’ll have to start integrating work back into my routine to get back in shape. The 111 temp was nice, too. 😯

Fuck you, rabbit. [Had to say that – out of principle]

  129. Poolman…your talking about little kids shot dead. You are claiming all their parents are now liars. All the teachers who survived the attack liars. You don’t even give the teacher who gave her life to save a classroom of kids the benefit of existence? You don’t see how much of a sin that is on your part? You are smart enough to know your fantasy could never happen. That they can’t just turn an entire school into the Truman Show and fake a mass killing. Instead, this is a kind of sick masturbation for you. You are pretty close to evil, if not evil, man.

I beg you to seek help, either spiritually or clinically.

I don’t mind being told to fuck off. But “principle”? Dude….You purposely spread false reports. You join hands with wicked men to be a malicious witness. If a supposed Christian like yourself can’t see the grave sin in what you are doing….man.

Damn…maybe the end days are, in fact, near. Who would have ever thought the pathetically flawed online verbal abusing rabbit would be almost forced to use scripture.

I feel like a huge nag here. But what the fuck? People threatening to turn people into the Feds. People claiming those poor children in that school never existed, perhaps the most vile insult a dead child could ever have thrown at him or her.

I’m getting the creeps here. I like the give and take online. I need to find a new home. I like crass humor….mixed with some smarts….even some nasty enraged arguments from time to time…a chance to talk like I can’t anywhere else in normal life…but this place aint right….where can the poor rabbit go?

Rutherford…run away with me. Lets start a new blog life.

  130. To Muffy and Rabbit: I plead guilty of smearing an entire profession based on one bad experience. Unfair and immature on my part but sometimes I use this place to let off steam even if occasionally misguided.

Muffy it just rubs me the wrong way to see an attorney act like a fucking cab driver with the meter running. Honestly it was a disincentive for my Dad to participate in his own defense. He didn’t even want to pick up the phone to ask a question because the minute the phone was answered, KA-CHING.

Sorry but that just doesn’t seem right to me. He’s not poor but he is old. It pains me to see him dealing with this foolishness in his twilight years.

Again, Rabbit is right that many lawyers are brilliant but that doesn’t change the fact that we live in a world where you can be extorted into saying you’re guilty because it is too expensive to prove you’re innocent.

    Surely Muffy you get that.

  131. Rutherford…I know you can’t give any details….but very, very ambiguously….what kind of thing is your Dad defending himself from?

  132. Do you ever read your medical bills, Rutherford? I think I get what you’re griping about but I see paying lawyers and doctors as buying peace of mind and that’s worth a lot to me. Plus on the whole I’m in the black on what’s been spent and what I’ve been spared by having a good lawyer. Same for my doctor.

Rabbit everybody feels the way you do about the two fat granny ex-pats. Personally I find some satisfaction in knowing I was right about them all along.

  133. By the way you’re exactly right about denying someones very existence as being the most vile insult.

Like the Mexican Republican, eh Harry?

  134. You purposely spread false reports.

No, that’s the media’s job and apparently some of your own doing. I have no reason to lie and no employer to be sure I don’t rock the boat. Anytime you accept the government’s narrative without ANY proof, you are complicit in the spreading of their lies. It’s you that still hold that 19 boxcutter wielding Arabs took out 3 skyscrapers and foiled our intelligence and defenses because, well nanny told you how it happened and while it was still happening. Never mind the defying of physics that that story requires. Then they got rid of all the evidence as fast as they could, because, well, that’s how you treat the greatest crime scene from the greatest crime ever perpetrated on American soil. Then, you pay off all the families in exchange for their silence and promise not to sue anyone or any institution involved.

You didn’t even flinch when they recently claimed to find a wheel wedged between two buildings from that fateful day yet couldn’t explain why there was a rope attached to it like it was lowered into place. Oh, and don’t forget they found those intact passports. Some divine fortune there, for sure.

You probably still hold we were attacked in Gulf of Tonkin making Vietnam justifiable and that Oswald did JFK alone. That’s the fuck you – not a fuck off. You shill for uncle time and again, facts be damned.

What if all these ‘parents’ and ‘teachers’ are paid liars. And what if they made a butt load of money doing it. I hear tell they are mostly satanists. No tears were shed. None. I’ve watched the drama. No bodies shown or removed from the school. Bullet holes in the parking lot cars. 2 people caught in the woods. Nothing to confirm the reports. No school surveillance video to validate the story.

But you’re gullible enough to believe Obama and Biden truthful here, because, well, there were supposedly kids involved. 🙄 White kids. But it’s okay drone killing brown kids across the world because they’ll likely grow up to be stinkbeards, something you think is more evil than anything out of DC. Sick.

  135. Poolmutt is nothing more than a walking talking downside of the Internet. He thinks he has become educated and knowledgible and worldly through the almighty search engine. A proud graduate of the U of Google.

  136. The next time you try and play electrician on one of your jobs do us all favor and make sure you’re standing in the pool up to your knees in water fool.

  137. I got an idea. Why don’t muff and tex have virtual sex and rabbit can shake hisself off to the star spangled banner. Oh say can you see?

  138. I swear my next post was not inspired by Rabbit — I’ve been thinking about doing it for a few days now. it will disappoint most of you but hey, shit happens.

  139. “Then, you pay off all the families in exchange for their silence and promise not to sue anyone or any institution involved. Poolman

What if all these ‘parents’ and ‘teachers’ are paid liars……..And what if they made a butt load of money doing it. ” Poolman

What’s most despicable about you is that you know how utterly impossible that would be. You can’t possibly be that disassociated from reality. You have enough ability to discern impossible from possible. You know fake worlds involving thousands, make that tens of thousands, of paid actors isn’t possible.

So….this truly is a fetish for you. A fantasy that you perversely get off on.

Kind of like how every now and then I have alone time and think of a scenario where two hot nurses…..never mind.

Because after 5 minutes its out of my mind.

But you…….you gratify yourself in the most disgusting of ways, fantasizing your entire waking life. Making the world a B rated movie in which you have the all knowing lead role….and I am accomplice to your self gratification by even conversing with you. Yuck.

Muffy thinks you simply do not have the ability to navigate the information revolution. Maybe she is right. I suspect something much more disgusting.

  140. The next time you try and play electrician on one of your jobs do us all favor and make sure you’re standing in the pool up to your knees in water fool.

    😆 😆

I’m sorry, Poolman. I am getting a laugh at your expense. But you got to admit Ms. Muff is pretty quick on the draw.

Besides, electrocution has got to beat the dream I had where I was hovering over you car and you looked up in horror at me grinning before the harpoon missile struck. 😉

  141. What’s most despicable about you is that you know how utterly impossible that would be.

No. It is entirely possible. You don’t think evil can organize? That is your weakness. It operates mostly in plain sight in America. If you were observant, you would find many of the same people participating in more than one of these events. Should we count all the ‘coincidences’?

  142. Rutherford, I respectfully request that you remove T.T.’s mocking remarks about my wife from comment #107 in this thread.

The Tulsa World comment section has recently required all commenters to use their real names. Tex is all excited now to know my “secret” identity, and has even looked up my wife’s name (not hard, since we’re listed together in the phone book). Since he enjoys personal attacks so much, I’m sure he has also looked up my criminal record and my status on the sex offender registry. (And he’s been disappointed not to find me in either place.) Am I right, Tex?

But no one at the Tulsa World knows who “Tex” Taylor is. He combines a common surname, perhaps even his real one, with a goofy nickname so as to be untraceable. But he sure gets upset if someone tries to “out” him. So over at the TW, he’s become known as the Anonymous Coward.

It’s been a while since I lurked here, and I don’t intend to make it a regular practice. But for some reason my ears were burning, and I had a feeling that he had taken his loathing for me to a place like this – where mean girls such as he are welcome to be as mean as they like, without consequence.

It does kinda piss me off when he goes after my wife, but that’s part and parcel of his Anonymous Coward persona.

Oh, and “Tex” – I never said that you were poor. Tell the truth! I said that you don’t control your own money, because…

    Never mind.

What's on your mind?
