Clowns to the Left of Me, Jokers to the Right

When it comes to Libya, you can look on either side of the political ping-pong table and find total nonsense. To my left is Senator John Kerry who proved he believes in fairy tales when he appeared on “Meet the Press” this past Sunday.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

John, I hate to let you in on this but when you drop bombs on a country, you are at war with them. To say otherwise makes you look like a fool. To suggest that we can finish this mission with Gaddafi still in power makes you look sillier still. The threat to the Libyan rebels is Gaddafi. To remove the threat, you must remove Gaddafi, and unlike other examples of diplomatic measures pushing a despot out, here we have a bona fide madman. He is not going anywhere without a strong push. Either Kerry lives in a fantasy land or he is lying to me. I don’t like either possibility.

To my right is Senator Lindsay Graham. He appeared on “Fox News Sunday” and uttered his own brand of inanity.

Lindsay, this is not about who has the biggest dick. So France was out in front of us on this Libyan attack. So what? We didn’t play cowboy this time and we actually waited for someone else to push the agenda before we jumped in. Imagine that? We actually attempted to join a coalition instead of calling all the shots. No shame in that Lindsay if you’re really interested in the end game of saving lives. But no, Lindsay is more interested in our pumping our chest out and being the big bad leader of the free world.

But then I can almost forgive Kerry and Graham because our motives in this Libyan fiasco are as clear as pea soup. Clearly the humanitarian motives are suspect. We’ve got government snipers shooting citizens of Yemen in the head. We’re “appealing” to Yemen’s conscience. Not a bomb being dropped there. Pure bull. We are in Libya only to maintain a no fly zone. More bull. You don’t need to bomb Gaddafi’s compound to maintain a no fly zone. And the whole notion that we’re not leading (Graham’s big gripe) is itself a farce. We are leading the effort and it is not at all obvious to whom we will turn leadership over, in the next days — not weeks — as Obama has promised.

The fact is we’re being lied to folks. Yet I suspect many of the players don’t even know they’re lying. They buy their own malarkey. Whether it’s folks on the left or the right, Congress or the President, State or Pentagon, it’s a bunch of clowns and jokers.

Frankly, I’m filled with bipartisan disgust.

Respectfully,
Rutherford

  1. We all know Kerry is a disgraceful joke, even the libs when honest. And I personally think Graham the lamest of the Republican Senators, and believe the Tea Party should put Graham in the bulls eye for political termination in 2012.

Here is the problem “R” and it rests with that rotten and corrupt U.N. It took 31 days to make a decision, and only then when pushed by of all people the French, whose sole interests aren’t humanitarian but keeping the pipelines open. This one really is for oil, as France receives a large portionof their petroleum from Libya. We don’t and neither did we from Iraq.

By the time the decision was made, the battle had turned, the rebels were crushed and humiliated, and K. Daffy had more than enough time to assemble his thugs, armed with heavy weaponry, and go to his fraidy hole. Who knows if the rebels will be able to muster the courage to resume and attempt kill him. I doubt it.

So who does that leave to clean up the mess? Take one guess? Obama, Hillary Rotten and the rest of the douche bags can’t even get their messages straight about what our objective is, or who is in control of the mission. LIke I said yesterday – most liberals are reactionaries ebbing and flowing with their emotions.

So can we talk honestly? How long before I an get you to admit the U.N. is not only worthless, its cumulative record is a detriment to humanity? Isn’t it time you liberal types man up to that fact? That is, that the U.N. is a joke? We pay 22% of the costs for that POS, receive little or nothing for our treasure and troubles, and Russia and China constantly play us for fools. Let’s get the hell out of that thing, raze the building, and kick those corrupt diplomats sorry asses back to the cesspools they came from with a boot in their asses for remembrance.

The U.N. is corrupt, it’s woefully inept, its blatantly anti-Jew, and a large part of the makeup is totalitarian. Iran, Cuba, and Libya on Human Right’s commissions? That’s a sick joke. And much of the money we spend goes into the pockets of tyrants. Look at Haiti! If it wasn’t for our military, The Red Cross, Salvation Army, Doctors without Borders, and a whole bunch of Christian organizations, I’m convinced 90% of the people on that island would have starved to death shortly after the earthquake.

The damn U.N. could even clear the land strip. Our military had to do that!

  2. Must be why that red guy with the horns and the forked tail was in front of me at the grocery store this evening buying rock salt…

If he was walking with the help of a pitch fork, that was Rutherford. 👿

  3. The problem stems mainly from the fact that Gaddafi sold out to capitalism in 2003 and the big players have been in there profitting off of that ever since, not giving a flying f**k about his continued abuse of his peeps. He had even made nice with Israel and got off our terrorist list, in addition to making restitution for the Lockerbie incident.

Not until food prices got out of hand and we had uprisings of the peeps which brought about the recent changes in Tunisia and Egypt. That gave Libyans the incentive to rise up and seek their freedom from this scumbag.

The hesitation to act was primarily because Israel is afraid a new government might oppose their right to exist, so they provided African mercenaries to oppose the rebels at the request of Gaddafi. When that caused the rebels to seek UN help due to the massacre that ensued, we pressured Britain and France to push the humanitarian issue because some of our leaders really are interested in human rights over profits. But we have to tiptoe around Israel to get anything done, since that is solely where our allegiance lies.

Maybe hell has begun to freeze over. And yeah, Gaddafi has to go, but nobody wants to admit it. Again for the reason of the tippytoe dance.

  4. Needless to say, I’ve been pretty busy at work.

    First off, read this.

You asked on the last thread what I thought of Libya, well, I think its a mistake to be involved right now, and I think that for a couple reasons.

    1) The devil you know versus the devil you don’t know. Who are the rebels? The primary tribal faction against Qaddafi is Salafist. Supporting the rebel movement is the Libyian Islamic Fighters Group- an ally of al-Qaida. Is it really our intent to help out the allies of al-Qaida?

    2) What’s in it for us? Sounds selfish, but that’s the whole point of diplomacy and conflict. You don’t do either unless you’re getting something out of it. So, what’s in it for us? Oil? All of it goes to Europe and we couldn’t refine it if we wanted to. Qaddafi removed? The alternative is what to make this worth while? Revenge? We’re about four weeks too late to be effective with that premise…

    3) Focus. We’re busy. No, really, we’re really fucking busy. Fighting season in Afghanistan is about to kick off, we’re trying to wind down Iraq and, oh by the way, the Middle East is on fire. Of course, this doesn’t include the host of domestic issues that Obama Van Winkle seems to be sleeping through. Do we really care about Libya right now?

    4) Why are we there? Obama says it is US policy that Qaddafi goes. ADM Mullen (CJCS) says he can stay. Obama says that while it is US policy for Qaddafi to go, the military objective is humanitarian (which I’m not sure how you do without boots on the ground). There is this guy called Clauswitz, you should read some of his stuff.

No one starts a war–or rather, no one in his senses ought to do so–without first being clear in his mind what he intends to achieve by that war and how he intends to conduct it.”

War is not a mere act of policy but a true political instrument, a continuation of political activity by other means.”

So, what’s the end game and why is that end game not being articulated to the American people?

  5. Hope and change.

Obama in 2008 promisws to withdraw and end Iraq and Afghanistan.

Three years later Obama launched attacks against yet anotherd Islamic dictatorship over oil (while claiming it’s all about human rights abuses).

Well, at least he’s black, right Rutherford?

  6. Clowns to the Left of me, jokers to the right…but stuck in the middle with you…

Libs are the two horse’s asses. Talk about poetic justice…

  7. I don’t know about impeachable offense, though I have made my feelings about the quality and need of the U.N. abundantly clear here. I do know this.

If Barack Obama and Joe Biden were loyal citizens of the United States, putting country before self interests; and they were capable of putting their egos aside; that Barack Obama would admit that he was not ready for prime time and far too inexperienced to handle a job of the magnitude of the POTUS; that liberals would admit Barack Obama was but a cliched sound bite in 2008, with no experience, leadership or negotiation skills but of that of a local community activist and they got caught up in the historical context of electing our first black President; and for the good of the country, Obama and BIden would resign their positions, effectively immediately, then I think we could begin to heal our land.

Obama is not devil, but Obama is certainly no leader of the free world either. This Libyan situation has been so bungled, so dishonest, so poorly planned, so equivocating in its nature, that the Left needs to admit it is time for Obama and Biden to go – and go immediately.

I hold no personal animosity towards either man, but these men are a disgrace and embarrassment as leaders of the free world. Joe Biden is a stupid man. And I’m not sure Obama is even interested anymore in making the attempt. Only his ego prevents him from saying, “Screw this…I’m outta here.” Even Hillary is more capable.

We are running out of time and can no longer afford to make one horrid and expensive mistake after another.

  8. Correction:

This [insert every situtaion occuring during this adminsitration beginning with accusing cops of acting stupidly] has been so bungled, so dishonest, so poorly planned, so equivocating in its nature, that the Left needs to admit it is time for Obama and Biden to go – and go immediately.

  9. Well I’m glad Tigre is having so much fun with this post. I love to bring a little light into his world. 🙂

I do have a solution for the UN, Tex. Let’s relocate the Ground Zero Mosque to that building. That’s far enough away from the G-Zero to make everyone happy and then you won’t have that nasty United Nations to worry about anymore. 🙂

Hell has indeed frozen over when I find myself in 99% agreement with BiW and Gorilla.

Yesterday, for the first time, I actually imagined Obama taking to the airwaves and saying “I will not seek, nor will I accept a nomination from my party for a second term as your President.” Heaven knows I would do this if I were he. His term has been one long relentless sh*tstorm. I’d say “screw it”.

But let’s be clear about one thing. The reason you see equivocation and mixed messages about this war is that Dem’s really stink at building a cohesive lie to sell to the American people. If this were a third Bush term, the goal of killing Gaddafi would be clear and everyone would be unified (especially GOPhers) behind freeing the Libyan people and being “greeted as liberators”.

Dem’s are politically stupid. When Obama needs support from his party he gets UFO alien Kucinich suggesting he should be impeached.

The one thing you guys are masters at is strict allegiance to the talking points and the “code”. You guys are militaristic at heart. You’ve got the war thing down cold whether the theater of battle is domestic or foreign. 👿

  10. I didn’t really touch on it in the post but I fully endorse G’s reticence about who we are helping. I think Huck has made similar comments in the prior thread. We don’t know who the hell these rebels are.

To make matters worse, an NBC reporter asked random people in the street in Tripoli what they thought and they backed Gaddafi..

For that matter, has Gaddafi been fighting peaceful protesters akin to Egypt or has he been fighting armed rebels? What are the odds we would try to “reason” with a bunch of machine gun carrying thugs who tried to approach our capitol? I’m not defending Gaddafi as a person or a leader but doesn’t he have the right to protect his country from violent insurrection? Isn’t it possible that Libya and Egypt are a false equivalency?

  11. “The reason you see equivocation and mixed messages about this war is that Dem’s really stink at building a cohesive lie to sell to the American people.”

Bill Clinton begs to differ and JFK and FDR were unavailable for comment.

  12. “The one thing you guys are masters at is strict allegiance to the talking points and the “code”.”

    It’s called “staying on message.”

Of course, it’s easy to get confused about the message when you have distractions like NCAA picks and your par on the back 9.

“Isn’t it possible that Libya and Egypt are a false equivalency?”

    You mean we can’t generalize?!?!

  13. Obama scored a par? Watching him on the range, Obama couldn’t hit the little white ball off the tee box.

    Miracles still occur.

  14. So Huck, I take that as a yes on the false equivalency?

As for Obama’s “hobbies”, c’mon get real. OK we understand you don’t like the optics. For eight years libs didn’t like the optics with Bush either. When you’re dealing with economic disaster and multiple wars the argument can be made you don’t have time to take a sh*t much less broadcast your NCAA bracket. But ultimately it’s a dumb argument and a distraction. Anyone who truly believes Obama cares more about who wins a b-ball tournament than he does about our country is too stupid to seriously debate.

I do agree with you about one thing… this admin has been awful at staying on message. The biggest failure of the Obama administration from day one has been communication … incredibly ironic for such an inspirational candidate.

  15. I am saying what I have continued to say on this board for more than 3 years.

We cannot generalize about things in the Middle East. Not it’s people, not their ideologies, not their politics, not any of it.

“I do agree with you about one thing… this admin has been awful at staying on message.”

That’s because it is more concerned with day-to-day opinions that change from day to day. Obama is not a leader. He constantly reacts. And usually the prompt for his reaction is US public opinion.

We should expect nothing more from a perpetual campaigner.

  16. “For eight years libs didn’t like the optics with Bush either.”

Except Bush didn’t play golf for all 8 years because he was smart enough to finally realize what the optics were.

Nobody wants to see King Obama tripping around the links while the rest of us are knee deep in shit.

  17. Interesting BIC. Your presence has been missed.

I’m not sure what is more appalling. Your poignant point to Rutherford about the American Holocaust, or “seminary students” masquerading as Christians, afraid to speak truth.

  18. The writing is on the wall for those who can discern.

The tyrannical leaders of the predominately Muslim countries days are numbered, even if they crush the resistance for a time. Their void will eventually be filled by Islamic extremists of a different flavor in the mold of UBL or Iran – that is the basic truth of Islam, as its very nature founded upon evil.

You guys and gals who foolishly believe in “moderate Islam” will be proven wrong. The Muslims you call moderate are either secular, or they’ve been indoctrinated in western culture and will either be eliminated in the new regime or a forced conversion to militant sharia.

These leaders of the Middle East are ex-military thugs who captured power by force or inheritance and have kept the animals in check by brutalizing the religious extremists. The leaders are secular, but they mouth platitudes of Allah to manipulate the masses, much like Obama mouths platitudes to pander for votes. They provide just enough sustenance for survival.

China loves this; Russia loves this. Anything that damages America, China and Russia are in favor as they’ve been the inferior child for quite some time. They are not our friends, nor our allies and never will be. They are not to be trusted. But we will be forced sometime soon to trust them, even beholden to them for our survival as we know it.

And very soon, when all the dominoes are in place and as Europe spins toward bankruptcy, God will push the first one over, and the dominoes will begin to fall toward little Israel, where America will be faced with the hardest choice it has ever been forced to make. I hope not to be here when that happens.

Armageddon my friends is imminent. Don’t know if I’ll be here to see it, but it is going to happen. That book of “myths” is coming true before your eyes and the climax at hand. Men have gone to and throe, and knowledge has increased greatly.

  19. “Armageddon my friends is imminent.”

You’re in good company. Every generation for the last 2000 years has believed the same thing.

Waiting for it is about as useless as waiting for Obama to lead. Neither will ever happen.

  20. You are a funny guy, GI. You hold fast to prophecy when it fits your storyline, but deny it when it falls outside of it. Your biggest mistake, I perceive, is not recognizing your enemy. It will be an awesome revelation for you some day.

You are correct about the dominoes beginning to fall in these tyrant’s playgrounds. These Arab peoples are willing to die for freedom, a concept once shared by Americans. Now our priorities are different. We don’t even understand what freedom truly is. Such a shame.

  21. Huck, you’re a good guy with some interesting political insight, but you are more so an incredibly myopic individual, with a record of past history than confirms that. You have intellect, but not wisdom.

I’m glad you’ve taken it upon yourself to improve and your improvement has been noted, but your latter years will prove to be even more foolish than that of your formative years. Not another minute will your accomplishment or money buy one day soon.

You’re in good company. Every generation for the last 2000 years has believed the same thing.

There wasn’t an Israel until 1948, so your point of 2,000 years is a non sequitur. I’m not talking of the rapture here. I fully expected you to be first in your criticism because of your enmity with God and your hostility. Like your heart attack, what I speak of will come upon you in the blink of an eye, and you will be equally unprepared with far more reaching consequences. And at that moment, your rebellious nature will be revealed not as strength, but abject and willful ignorance.

Waiting for it is about as useless as waiting for Obama to lead.

I’m not waiting for anything to happen, and in fact scripture is very clear not to wait, as it useless to do so. I’m simply observing the end of an age happening, looking up as redemption is nigh, and find it most fascinating and equally terrifying, as what I speak will be a time of such horror that the world has never known. 9/11 will appear but a pinprick of things to come. I feel both cursed and blessed in more short existence to be in the age to watch it all transpire.

Consider the retina scans and the chips in the hands as the mark of the inevitable cashless society. That’s imminent. Consider the formation of Israel as the meek country established in one day, with the irrational global hatred of the very people who gave us the messiah. Consider Daniel 12, where men will go to and fro, and knowledge shall increase greatly. Consider Jerusalem, a town of no military or economic consequence being the focal point. Our transportation didn’t change for 1,900 of those 2,000 years you speak. Are all of these just coincidence? I think not.

Consider we now have the capability to extinguish life in a microsecond, developed by Jewish physicists rejected and threatened with death by the Third Reich. Coincidence? I think not. The earth more troubled than ever before, hostility in all places, the rise of the east and the fall of the west, natural disaster after natural disaster. For those with the veil pulled to see, the future has never been more clear.

I can’t tell you when, but I can tell you where. I can’t tell you exactly how, but I can forth tell of things to come. I don’t claim a gift of prophecy as the world would define it, but I do claim a spiritual gift of truth.

However, I certainly do understand how this must all sound like nonsense to an educated but secular man like you. It’s always the pompous and arrogant, the prideful and self-sufficient, believing in only in the goodness and talents of themselves, that fall the hardest. But in the advent of a changed heart, they invariably make the very best fruits too. Something for you to think about, but whether you choose to believe or not, what you will have no choice in is that you will be a part on one side or the other. That too is imminent and inevitable.

I actually like you and it pains me that it very possible before you pass, that you will experience first hand the horror of it all. Poolman is confused man and of no real consequence – like a gnat buzzing the fruit. He shares your ignorance without your talents.

But for some reason, I feel led to share the truth with you and Rutherford. Consider it a personal compliment of sorts, though I don’t expect you to really understand that.

  22. Except Bush didn’t play golf for all 8 years because he was smart enough to finally realize what the optics were.

I don’t have a link to support it, but the notion that Bush gave up golf for the troops is a myth. He didn’t. If challenged I’ll go hunt down the link but I remember reading it somewhere.

  23. BiW, one line from your “blacks get aborted” article really jumped out at me:

No it’s not, but these people see racism as pointing out racism, which turns reality on its head.

Every time I’ve brought up racism on this blog, I’ve been called a racist. Kinda funny.

Now let’s ask a few questions:
    1) Are live black adults dying from heart disease equivalent to unborn blacks being aborted? I find that a stretch.

    2) If abortion is some racist plot, who is behind it?

    3) I think you would agree with me that black women who make bad life choices (like extramarital, unprotected f*cking) are as guilty as their white counterparts. Or are you saying black women who have abortions are victims? You’re not becoming Al Sharpton are you? Bwahahahahahha 😆

  24. Armageddon my friends is imminent. Don’t know if I’ll be here to see it, but it is going to happen. That book of “myths” is coming true before your eyes and the climax at hand. Men have gone to and throe, and knowledge has increased greatly.

Tex, my friend, you and Poolman are not as far apart as you think. 😉

  25. Tex, when you’re not being an obnoxious ass you can say some of the tenderest things. No sarcasm intended. Your comment to Huck (and by extension to me) seems heartfelt and full of kindness. I publicly thank you for it.

  26. Now back to politics …. liberal pundit Bill Press said something this morning on “Morning Joe” that made me laugh out loud. It almost deserves its own blog post.

He said, and I paraphrase, that Americans will not tolerate another long drawn out war (referring to Libya). ROTFLMAO. America will tolerate whatever happens and you know why? Because the only Americans who care are those whose loved ones come back in body bags. No one else gives a flying fig.

Reinstate the draft and watch that motherf*cker turn around real fast!

  27. Rutherford, don’t bother. I googled your claim and see it comes straight from Olby via Huffpo.

I would like confirmation of the date edited into to the video that is supposed be proof of his “lie.”

  28. Au contraire Huck … I want to spend on what I consider money well spent. Let’s pull troops back from all over the friggin’ world. Let’s means-test social security so Warren Buffett doesn’t get a huge SS check every month.

I am for judicious spending. We just don’t agree on what is judicious. 😉

Regarding Olbermann’s video …. you’re not suggesting it’s doctored or edited are you? You’d never accuse that punk O’Keefe of similar shenanigans.

  29. “Consider the formation of Israel as the meek country established in one day..”

That is absolutely inaccurate. Israel had been being “formed” for decades as people bought up land and shoved out those who had worked it for generations. Asserting that Israel simply had to say “I exist” for it to be so is equal to Michael Scott from The Office thinking that the way to declare bankruptcy was to stand up and loudly state “I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY.”

Israel had to work and fight for its creation. It took time. They did it, it is there, and has a right to continue its existence and defend itself. I just don’t like how they do it.

    “…natural disaster after natural disaster.”

What seems like a rise in global catastrophe is more likely due to the rise in instant global communications. We see more going on not because more is going on, but because we are able to see more of it going on.

I genuinely appreciate the concern. But I have stared death in the face and I didn’t come away with a “come to Jesus” moment. Even when I awoke in a Catholic hospital with multiple nuns praying over me (because I have long hair and a beard and they thought I resembled Jesus). Theology is just not a logic I use to guide me through life. If it works for you, I respect that.

  30. “Regarding Olbermann’s video …. you’re not suggesting it’s doctored or edited are you? You’d never accuse that punk O’Keefe of similar shenanigans.”

Excuse me but if you recall I was the loudest voice against Andrew Breitbart, and received a good deal of ridicule for my efforts.

  31. Hey Huck … two things. First your resemblance to Jesus reminded me of a funny incident at work about 8 years ago. I had an employee with long hair and a beard, tall and thin. One day as I was walking through a glassed in walkway I saw my employee outside having a smoke break. Despite my non-believer status, for an instant I thought I saw Jesus standing there in a trench coat smoking a cig. Of course, when I focused I realized it wasn’t Him. 🙂

Funny that you mention Brietbart. Color of Change is distributing a petition against Arianna Huffington cos she is giving Breitbart a forum on HuffPo. I never did trust her. I’m suspicious of born-again liberals.

  32. Prophecy is for the church, the true believers. Always has been. Always will be. There are prophecies describing today’s events just as there have been describing past occurrences. These things are spiritually discerned, and like the parables Jesus spoke in, are really foolishness to those who don’t believe. It’s like a foreign language.

The world and false factions of the church have taken the whole “Armageddon” prophecy out of context and equate it to a WWIII scenerio. That isn’t anything like what John’s book of Revelation describes. It is actually a place of gathering of those opposed to God. Kings of this world. It isn’t a battle at all. That’s all that “hellfire and damnation” preaching exposing it’s familiar and ugly head again, trying to scare you into believin’ the gospel. It really is sort of comical when you understand “gospel” means “good news”. 😀

  33. I genuinely appreciate the concern. But I have stared death in the face and I didn’t come away with a “come to Jesus” moment.

So had Jim Dougan looked death in the face and was not convinced, and he even mocked; not now. His fate is sealed. But Jim never passed the threshold – and neither have you. You don’t have a come to Jesus moment before you pass into eternity – that’s the point Huck. It’s called faith. But faith is not ignorance and the signs of the times are all there.

Whatever you decide Huck, I hope you won’t listen to gnats at the picnic like Poolman. Just like any organized religion, Christianity has its cults and its flakes, and like Waco or Heaven’s Gate, or Jim Jones, or those dancing nuts with snakes, they are loosely tied to Christian scripture, mixed in with humanism, prophesy and heresy. Poolman is but one and Rutherford is very, very wrong that Poolman and I are alike. Would Rutherford consider me and David Koresh alike? David Koresh could quote scripture on his worst day better than Poolman or I can.

There is nothing shrouded in mystery as the word Revelation means to “reveal.” Poolman is right in one thing – Armageddon is but a gathering place, but blood will rise to the horse’s bridles for miles around it. Armageddon is Har Megiddo, and the war will start from there. God will annihilate His enemies and the world will be awestruck.

Sounds pretty far fetched to the secular mind, I know. But if you think me the kook, there another billion or so in Western civilization that believe to. But then when secularists such as yourself can’t see something as simple as the natural requires the supernatural, I don’t expect you to have understanding. Just trying to pique your intellectual curiosity.

I disagree with your assessment of Israel. While they struggled for over 1900 years, they were officially deemed a state in a day without a fight.

That was the next day by six states of “moderate” Muslims. 😉

  34. I disagree with your assessment of Israel. While they struggled for over 1900 years, they were officially deemed a state in a day without a fight.

The Semitic peoples (descendants of Shem) were in the land for that whole time. Most would be considered Arabs today. The newly formed nation of Israel consists primarily of Ashkenazi Jews, which is the makeup of over 90 percent of those calling themselves Jews today. These people were not descended from the Hebrews, as GI infers. They are descended from the Khazars, a ancient Turkic speaking people who converted from paganism to Judaism in the 8th century, some 1200 years ago. Most lived in Russia and eastern Europe until the 20th century.

But don’t let reality or genetics play into your fantasy, GI. Even your brother Netanyahu was a Mileikowsky before his daddy changed his name to elude to actually being of genuine Hebrew ancestry.

  35. Look Poolman, Grand Dragon of Phoenix with a mullet and seven comb overs.

How many times do I have to say this? Garden variety bigot, a googler extraordinaire, a buffoon, and more nuisance than authority on anything besides what not to become or what to do.

I get it. You’re an obvious rabid Jew hater, a horrid judge of character, a Planned Parenthood stooge, sometime useful idiot, majority blubbering idiot, and an anathema to anything Holy and righteous. In other words, all those prayers you promise to people at those pagan website you participate are meaningless. Save your breath. You’ll be needing it soon.

    ——-

See if you can absorb this fact Wizard. Your argument is the weakest of all. Being Jewish is not genetic. It’s a faith – perhaps considered a creed. It is not a straight line on the heredity tree like you and your sister. That naturally occurring fact of “JEWish genetic” ended at least 2,700 years ago with the lost tribes – and there was intermarriage long before that. You can read Jacob, or Joseph, or David, or Solomon, or Moses….blah blah blah and figure that out for yourself. For all I know, some mutt like me might be a distant descendant of Abraham.

Netanyahu is more secularist politician than observant Jew. He’s Obama with about a million times more brains. Your example is not only meaningless, but a poor choice as example.

I find you a fool. I’ve made that clear, and you can’t do anything to convince me otherwise. But you’re as wrong as wrong can be if you are trying to apply your argument against Zion with scripture. Jerusalem is God’s city and the capital of the Jewish people. The Jewish people that reside there now. End of discussion.

  36. Corinthians 13 :13

Jim may very well be in heaven. Who knows.

Corinthians 13 :13 at least gives me some hope that I have hope.

Rattling off scripture towards Tex is about as insane as battling BiC over constitutional law.

I do so tongue and cheek.

All I know is if I could take a pill and have faith, I would pop two.

I have no control over my doubts. And doubt seems to dominate me 99% of the time.

I do, however, have control over my works. The bad thing is I often suck in that area too.

In my gut I feel the Protestants and Luther are wrong. But, unfortunately, I don’t recall reading anywhere of the theological importance of my “gut”.

I sure hope they are or I am toast. And so are many Catholics who are a lot more pious then me. (Which aint saying much).

On a very shallow side note, I find the rituals kind of relaxing. I’ve been at a few Protestant churches and I’m always wondering when the heck I’m getting out of there.

  37. So Poolman, you a Ruckmanite? 🙂

Uh huh. I wondered why the nutty ‘religious’ rhetoric was coming from; this is twice you’ve sent me to a similar source. Part legalist, part loon.

  38. If you want to convert to Judaism, be my guest. Since the coming of Jesus Christ to the planet, the New Testament replaces the Old and outlines the true pathway to God. Jews are anti-Christ. They killed him, remember? What about that don’t you get? The new Jerusalem is a spiritual city, not a physical point on the map. The church is the true Israel, not a nation established as a “homeland”. What about that don’t you get? It’s all in the book you claim to believe in. Dense, man. Really dense.

  39. So Poolman, you a Ruckmanite?

I never heard of them. I did google it and turns out it’s a Baptist bastardization of sorts. Nay, not me. I don’t even like King James much.

Rabbit, I know quite a few Catholics that are pure of heart and I would say are “saved”, a part of the true church. Of course a Baptist would say they need full immersion, so you better get GI’s approval.

  40. Rabbit, Corinthians 13:13, the famous wedding verse?

True love requires free will. Jim had free will and chose not to accept if you are to believe what he wrote here the last days of his life. That has troubled me ever since that happened. Sickened me, because Jim’s last few posts left no doubt – mocking in nature.

One of Jim’s last posts here destroyed my hope of a joyful ending. And perhaps that is why on occasion, I trouble, perhaps bore men like Rutherford and Huck as feel led to share a few things with those I’ve grown accustomed to – think of it as extended Lawson family.

Because truthfully Rabbit, I just have this palpable burden, maybe a premonition that we are being lulled into a false sense of security as a nation.

  41. I thought the Khazars were mostly Muslim when the ruling elite converted to Judaism. This had to do with marriages to wealthy Jewish families on the Black Sea.

I can’t for the life of me remember where I read this, but I remember reading something on a mitocondrial (totally spelled wrong) DNA of European Jews and Jews who never left the Levant. They were, with out a doubt, of the same stock. At least according to what I read which may be as reliable as a poolman KKK link.

  42. Rabbit,

Pay no heed to The Mullet of Phoenix. If baptism in any form other than by God Almighty were required for salvation, contrary to the Grand Dragon’s assertion of my core beliefs of which he has no clue, the thief on the cross would never have seen heaven.

And Wizard, that’s twice in two days you’ve used Ruckmanites as your googled source to justify your preconceived bias. Perhaps you should also “google” your sources to learn a little about your experts before using them as authority, hey? 😉

  43. By the way Poolman, my wife and children are Catholic.

You probably ought to know that if Tex really believed what you want Tex to believe, I’d be sending my own children to hell. That was not my intent as parent. 😉

  44. Tex, can you expand of comment 52? What did Jim talk about at the end that bothered you?

And what do you mean about us being lulled?

  45. “The Grand Dragon”…sometimes passing barbs, even ones used before on here, inexplicably make me laugh out loud.

So Tex, do you go to mass? How does that work anyways?

  46. I might be a confused and half hearted Catholic. But Poolman, if by some miracle I make it through the Pearly Gates and see you and your abortion cheerleaders waiting for me, I will remain as confused in heaven as I am here on Earth.

Dude, you argue for and chum around with people who even endorse, nay, celebrate, murdering babies in the womb!

I don’t cast many stones. But damn, man!

  47. Rabbit, I’ll see if I can find Jim’s last comments concerning your question sometime later tonight.

It might be a series of comments I’ll need to gather, but the gist of it was Jim had found that horrid site called euphemistically “The Chapel” where religion is mocked and slammed and become a major player. I’ll expand on my “lulled comment” then too.

I need to ask “R” a couple of questions first.

  48. Rabbit, I surely don’t celebrate anyone murdering babies. I am anti-abortion and have in the past protested in rallies, carrying signs and being cursed and spit at. I just don’t think making it illegal will do any good. Like making laws against drugs don’t stop drug use, making laws against abortion won’t make them go away. I think we fail in the educating of our youth. That is where I think we need to step up our game.

  49. Rutherford, I had a couple of “real” questions for you, being you’re one of the very few libs I have a measure of respect for (minus the Palin Giffords crap). Your performance at Fat Grannies reminded me why I like you. 😉

Why do you support our membership in the U.N.? That isn’t a leading question. I am curious why you feel it beneficial and/or necessary for us to be there.

And then the ironic one. Do you realize of all the people on this board, you included, the only person coming to the conclusion we did the right thing in Libya is me, even if it bumbled and poorly handled from the start and should have been approved by Congress and not the U.N.?

I’ll explain why. I really do believe all that is necessary for evil to win is good men to sit around and do nothing. I try to live my life that way. We had the means, and a few selfish reasons to seek justice, including to protect Libyans, plus the support of Britain (I really don’t give a damn about France). I know we apply that inconsistently, but one wrong is better than two. I would have done the same for the Sudan, etc… had I been President.

If we don’t get K. Daffy in some fashion, I will consider the mission a failure.

  50. OH please Poolman. At least be honest. You just signed a petition with your name, lending your support to Planned Parenthood at that horrid Chatty Kitchen place. That was one month ago.

    poolman | February 19, 2011 at 12:26 am |

Both my daughters and my wife have benefitted from PP services in the past. I signed the petition. They are trying to run this organization the way of ACORN. Asshats!

As a reminder, here is the petition you signed:

    https://secure.ppaction.org/site/SPageServer?pagename=pp_ppol_ws_I_Stand_with_PP&s_src=istandwithPP_homeaf

Planned Parenthood, for whatever benefit they provided to your wife or children in the past, is the largest abortion provider in the United States. And abortion is the cash cow of Planned Parenthood. Just another duplicitous message from the Jew hater.

And you wonder why I think you’re an utter complete phony?

  51. the thief on the cross would never have seen heaven.

I think he went to paradise. Heaven and paradise are not one in the same. Another common misconception.

AFA Ruckmanites, today is the first time I have heard of them. When I link sites, I read the content. I may agree with everything from some, but most times only a part. What I post I try to relate to the conversation at hand. I don’t think any one group holds all the truth cards.

Knowledge is still being revealed as time moves on. Some truth has been sealed until these days, some for the future. That is why I have challenges with much of organized religion. It can be a stagnant pool that mires people, keeping them down. I know plenty that have become disillusioned with their church or fellow parishioners and have abandoned the faith. We are pretty cannabalistic sometimes.

  52. OH please Poolman. At least be honest. You just signed a petition with your name, lending your support to Planned Parenthood at that horrid Chatty Kitchen place. That was one month ago.

I did sign that petition. That doesn’t mean I support abortion. You really have no clue what services PP provides, do you?. Inexpensive gynecological services and birth control is their primary function.

  53. Here you go Rabbit,

I have forgotten how to link to a specific comment in WordPress. i”ve done it before, but drew a blank.

    72. hippieprof | October 5, 2010 at 2:17 pm

So – do you guys know about the Dawkins belief/disbelief scale? Here it is:

    http://christophersisk.com/dawkins-belief-scale-images/

Depending on the day, I put myself at a 5 or a 6.

BTW – I first heard about the Dawkins scale over at “The Chapel.” It is highly recommended if you want to get into some intense religious discussions.

    http://thechapel.wordpress.com/

    —-

Sicken me to read that. You’ll have to click the links to get Jim’s drift.

  54. Poolman the Grand Dragon, Mullet Head, and Now Legalist

In your attempt to seem worldly and wise, you come off as such a buffoon. Seriously. You and your self-centered universe.

Paradise or heaven, call it what you will, that is where Jesus Christ is. That’s good enough for me…

    Luke 23:43

“TODAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE”

  55. Lol.

Yeah, PP exists to squash yeast infections and pass out rubbers.

    Come correct.

As usual, your shit stinks even if I accept your premise.

Let’s say PP really is nothing more then a cheap condom machine like you claim, they…understatement of the year..are vehemently pro choice.

Didn’t you just tell me you have been spit on over protesting abortion? So now you pay for them too?

  56. Can you read a balance sheet Mullet? I doubt it, being you don’t know how to file taxes, but perhaps you can read to determine just how incredibly misinformed you are. You’re like the malware of the Rutherford Lawson blog, you frickin’ liar.

And be sure to read the literature straight from PP’s annual report so there is no charges of bias. Welcome to the party of abortion Al-Poolman!

    http://www.sba-list.org/sites/default/files/content/shared/Chiaroscuro_PP_Analysis_March_2011.pdf

    http://www.plannedparenthood.org/files/PPFA/PP_AR_011011_vF.pdf

  57. Yeah, I can read a balance sheet. What you linked is not one, rather a propaganda piece. I just love it when the tax exempt arm of the Catholic Church pushes their political agenda, like this non profit source you link. Their “Analysis of Planned Parenthood’s Revenue and Services” makes no differentiation between funds used for abortions and those for other services. Follow the links to their sources to get the real balance sheet. This is only their interpretation of the data. This propaganda makes it seem that tax payers are paying for the abortion services. It also falsely makes it appear that abortions as a whole are on the rise.

I admit Planned Parenthood needs policing and like any entity that receives government funding. But they are not a government agency like the post office or military is.

Your efforts would be better focused on exposing the FED and the banking institutions that use that entity to steal from Americans. Cut back on the military funding that should be transparent and accounted for. Fight to cutback on money sent to foreign nations that use those monies to actually murder humans, babies, children, and adults.

Boycott China if you are truly that disgusted with abortion. Don’t buy their products. Don’t sell them resources. Don’t let them buy your debt. They perform an estimated 30 million abortions a year. And they kill live babies, too. Boycott Chinese restaurants. Or are Chinese babies less human?

  58. Um Dummy,

Follow the links to their sources to get the real balance sheet. This is only their interpretation of the data. This propaganda makes it seem that tax payers are paying for the abortion services.

One of those links is Planned Parenthood’s own annual report. Did you see the revenue numbers, the profit numbers, or is the annual report provided by Planned Parenthood propaganda too?

Amazing how a supposed “spiritual” and “enlightened” individual can manage to conveniently ignore facts when they get in your way of freebies provided by others dollars.

Like most phonies, you have no sense of shame, as we are paying for federally funded abortions.

Congratulations to you in support of infanticide…..but, but, but boycott China. Pathetic.

  59. Poolman,

Its easy to pretend to be a saint when no consequences or price will fall upon your head for doing so, isn’t it?

But when you are presented with an actual bill, or in your case, a gift removed for indulging in your sainthood, the mask suddenly comes off, revealing the poseur.

The more I look at the Planned Parenthood annual review, the more queasy I get.

  60. Actually GI, the source links generated from that propaganda piece are factual, just like I stated. They are accurate and show a business that receives revenue from several sources, including donations and receivables in addition to government funding. It also lists the expenses and a breakdown for their services. No where does it show tax revenue going to fund abortions.

  61. “Can you believe Jamie Gorelick has been put on the short list for FBI Director? Are you kidding me?”

Thanks a lot Tex. I go to bed pissed off again.

That cunt should be spending her life behind bars like Bernie.

9 billion dollars in losses hidden under her watch while the execs took massive bonuses. She even snatched up a nice bonus herself.

She made millions and millions and millions and millions of dollars while committing this fraud.

This was at the same time Barney Frank was LITERALLY sucking a Fanny Mae execs cock while telling any one who would listen how unsinkable the Titanic was.

Look at the thieves. Look at the meltdown engineers. They have taken over. IRS, Fed, FBI. Treasury. Fill in the gaps with a few useful idiots….and wallah! Kleptocracy.

    Obama sickens me.

I don’t know what frustrates me more.

Mainstream conservatives who yawn at the biggest theft in world history with their “stop whining, Capitalism is Darwinism” mantra.

Wake the fuck up. The democracy is no longer functioning and the economy is NOT free. National Socialism by means of monetary policy and massive government spending.

Or the dumb fuck life long Democrat who claims anyone making less then a hundred grand should vote a straight left ticket because…uh…crooked bankers and Dems and crooked bankers…and thieves…and crooked bankers…and multi millionaire tax cheats and fruadsters and Dems are out for the “little guy”.

Mean while, the assault on my son and my nephews continues. They won’t stop until they are debt slaves just for being born. The entire nation led by slave masters.

Where is our Nat Turner? John Brown?

  62. Did you expect a line item that read “Abortion Revenue” Mullet? 😆 You’re so fucking slow dummy.

    Here are the facts:

While Planned Parenthood officials claim that abortions constitute only 3% percent of their services, this figure is misleading. Out of the 10.5 million individual services they provided in 2006, 289,750 were abortions—roughly 3%. But this figure fails to account for the fact that a woman visiting Planned Parenthood for an abortion will receive several services—from a pregnancy test to some manner of counseling to the abortion itself—each of which is counted separately. A closer look at Planned Parenthood’s client and income numbers shows that the abortion figure is actually three times what they claim. Of 3.1 million Planned Parenthood clients in 2006, 9% got abortions. Moreover, abortion accounts for at least a third of Planned Parenthood’s total income from clinic services.

No matter how you spin this Mullet the Christian (cough cough), if Planned Parenthood never allocated a federal dime to abortion, you just signed your approval to an entity that performs approximately 300,000 abortions per year.

But, perhaps you care to explain this inconsistency in your defense….

Can tell me then why MoveOn.org insinuates that if Planned Parenthood is defunded, women will be forced to back alley abortions again? I’m a little confused by the pro-lifer, million abortion club member.

  63. Poolman,

Your response to the links Tex provided is the most cowardly, insipid bunch of crap I may have ever read.

    You are pathetic, dude.

He point blank proved you wrong. Point fucking blank. You got served.

“Um um um…why don’t you concentrate on the Fed?”

    Huh????

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

    Your tongue is forked.

At least your baby killing friends are up front about it. You are always masking your support of genocide.

I guess if Obama can entertain appointing that thieving cunt to run the FBI, “pro-lifers” can openly support Planned Parenthood.

    Alice in Wonderland.

  64. Rutherford, I am going to be buying some books through Amazon. What’s that link that gets you some $$$?

  65. He point blank proved you wrong. Point fucking blank. You got served.

What planet did you just beam in from?

His propaganda piece from Chiaroscuro Foundation was presented to me as a balance sheet. It wasn’t. You had to follow the links from it to the PP source to find a balance sheet. The link he provided made the false inference that abortions are on the increase and taxpayer funding was increasing to fund them. Total bullshit. And this from a tax sheltered nonprofit advertising all over NYC.

Then he tries to tell me because these women used PP for other gynecological workups and services that they counted as separate procedures and that now the actual statistics are deceptive. PP states 3 percent of the total of what they do are abortions. He claims it should be 9 percent because of the amount of women that came through the doors of the place. How many of the men going to PP received abortions? Doesn’t say. I bet zero. It still doesn’t say anywhere that tax dollars paid for them. It doesn’t show abortions are on the rise. As a matter of fact they have decreased over the years. It doesn’t say how many were aborted for “convenience.” It doesn’t even list the health conditions of the mothers or fetuses or at what stage they were aborted or why. But let’s roll with those numbers anyway.

Who cares what the facts are? It’s good enough for you to see red. This political football really skews your intellect. If we legislate tomorrow and make it criminal again, I’m sure that will fix it. Yeah, that’s the ticket. I’m sure the need will go away overnight. Look at all the people that quit drugs since we made them illegal.

China aborts 30 million a year. 30 million! Yeah, go ahead and respond to that from your Blackberry, Alice.

  66. NOT WAR BUT KINETIC MILITARY ACTION!!!

    😆 😆 😆

That’s what we call Tomahawks anymore? Kinetic? Gawd, you Libbies are a hoot.

  67. Mullet,

Why is when you rubes get busted when your own set of facts are turned on you, you evade, deflect, avoid, and babble? Rabbit and I showed you the real information and instead of saying, “I was wrong”, or “Okay, I see your point”, or “Maybe so, but I disagree with your conclusion”, you go off on something irrelevant like China’s crimes?

We used Planned Parenthood’s own annual report and you’re still lying. You’re not 14 years old anymore Mullet. You don’t get grounded or have your bike put in storage. Take your medicine like a man (I know that’s hard for you to understand) and say, “Okay, so I was wrong.”

Rabbit and I don’t pay taxes to China – at least directly (except for the parts of America taken since Obama became President that China now owns with IOUs. 🙂 ).

Try to stay on point when you debate, instead of role playing as a member of the Tower of Babel. You won’t appear so dumb.

  68. On the Planned Parenthood debate, a couple of things. I didn’t bother to look through the links but I think the crux of the controversy revolves around the government funding of PP being fungible. At least I think I’m using the word correctly. In other words, when the Fed funds get added to the PP coffers, it doesn’t matter what they say about allocation … money is money and it’s one big pool so tax payers are funding abortions. Tex and Rabbit, correct me if I’ve captured the argument incorrectly.

Poolman, I’ve already presented the grim scenario to Rabbit and it doesn’t seem to move him. With abortion illegal, women will die from makeshift abortions performed by hacks. That doesn’t appear to move the needle at all with Rabbit or anyone else. So what can you do? Ideology trumps reality in this case.

  69. Oh as an addendum to comment 83, anytime anyone wants to do a bit of shopping and help a brotha out ( 🙂 ) the link is always in my side bar:

    http://www.4youranewsment.com/

Just go to the shopping tab. The link I gave Huck goes directly to my Amazon store. I might add that the site features some cool news feeds from a variety of sources for business, leisure and sports. It’s my four year old brainchild attempt at affiliate marketing. I scaled down the marketing considerably to include only Amazon since my other advertising venues weren’t yielding squat.

  70. Book order placed, Rutherford.

I pay my internet bill through Amazon. I will have to try clicking that link before I do it next time and see if it credits you for that, too.

It’s the least I can do for the years of entertainment you’ve provided.

  71. Ooh what’s that? I want to click something that credits Rutherford too.

OK, got it. I wish I could buy you all a round for the entertainment, but I’m happy at least to go through the link for my Amazon needs. I do get most of my books through them.

Rutherford, you’ve given me one massive earworm with this post. I suppose I am glad that you didn’t call it “La Vida Loca” or something.

Libya. The Meh War. Operation Sorta Sorta Not War. I mean I don’t get “he has to go.” What does that mean? Does “go” mean death? If not, then what? I mean, where is he supposed to go?

On the OT – I actually have known a few Christians, a few Catholics, and one non-denominational (Christian) pastor who were pro-choice, and it pretty much comes down to a separation of church and state issue for them. And the “revert to back alley abortions” argument is usually offered up, while suggestions for what to do about equally grim realities like this are rarely hashed out –

    Caution – rough stuff:
    http://abcnews.go.com/Health/philadelphia-abortion-doctor-accused-killing-babies-scissors-charged/story?id=12649868

And when such horror is taken into account, “education” is the answer usually given. Like any real measure of abortions actually occur following a “hey! what tha’? How did that happen?” moment.

This is the first time I have ever seen China come up in the context that it has.

And now it’s become fashionable to call those who are pro-choice “anti-abortion,” but that is not the case. Language sleight of hand in a serious discussion doesn’t move me any more than resorting to reason through intimidation (a la’ the bully playground blog known affectionately around here as Fat Grannies).

    For what it’s worth.

  72. How does legislation on abortion kill women? Women kill women. While it would surely happen, many more women would be dead from car accidents for any given year.

Do you honestly believe hundreds of thousands of women will get the clothes’ hanger out?

  73. Mass back alley abortions or clothes hanger abortions are a myth….usually resurrected by the abortion on demand crowd as a last gasp effort to convince women that it’s just a production of conception, it’s “your” body (that would be a surprise to a male baby being aborted), not a baby (always prefaced with ‘fetus’), or some other baloney to minimize the lasting damage.

Interesting take on just how much this issue has changed in the last 100 years concerning feminists.

    http://www.abortiontv.com/Misc/Feminism.htm

When it comes to curbing abortions, Poland stands as a world leader.

Many politicians and judges have long been reluctant to outlaw abortion because it might result in illegal, back-alley abortions. But one country has proven that fear is groundless.

For 44 years, Poland was dominated by Russia and abortion was not only legal, it was paid for by the government. Then in 1993, after the Iron Curtain fell, the Polish parliament severely restricted abortion.

“Abortions declined precipitously so that this past year, they only had 250 abortions. So the abortion rate went from 160,000 to 250,” said Dr. Jack Willke, of the Life Issues Institute.

Willke, who has spent time in Poland, said pro-abortion groups argue that without legal abortion, women would have illegal, partial abortions and then go to hospitals to finish the so-called “miscarriage.”

“Right now, what do we see? There are fewer gynecologic admissions to Polish hospitals today than there were when abortion was legal,” Willke said. “There are fewer women dying of gynecologic problems.”

Lek Koleski, a Polish member of the board of directors of the International Right to Life Committee, said abortion restrictions have helped educate women.

“One year we had abortion on demand again, and only 1,200 women wanted abortions on demand that year,” Koleski said. “That means that the previous years had educated people not to use this way of reducing the number of your children.”

His conclusion: The law tends to influence opinions.

Poland’s experience also shows that fewer women died as a result of pregnancy and childbirth, neonatal births declined and induced abortions performed to save the life and health of the mother also became more rare after abortion laws were passed.

  74. Can tell me then why MoveOn.org insinuates that if Planned Parenthood is defunded, women will be forced to back alley abortions again? I’m a little confused by the pro-lifer, million abortion club member.

Sorry Tex, that video had nothing to do with Planned Parenthood. That video was produced as Congress was contemplating redefining forcible rape to further restrict when Fed funding could go toward abortion.

    Nice try.

  75. Regarding comment 66 (mmmm the first two 6’s in the demonic 666 … coincidence? I think not!)

I had forgotten about this comment from Hippie. Obviously Tex I don’t find it nearly as disturbing as you do. Hippie rated himself between a 5 and a 6 on the Dawkins scale. I think that is about where I fall (pardon the pun) also. He also linked to an atheist web site, one which I just perused and found amusing. Honest to goodness atheists spend more time being angry about religion than I do so I find their sites a bit humorous.

Then again, as I’ve said in recent threads, the tragedies of this world cannot help but make one doubt a benevolent God’s existence.

NOW, I’ll tell you what did “sicken” me. I was very unnerved by Hippie’s harsh self-recrimination in the last article he posted before his death. That broke my heart.

What also bothers me as a blog owner is seeing the occasional spam comment hit his blog like vultures snacking on a corpse. Every time I see it (because I am still subscribed to some of his comment threads) it gets me angry all over again. May sound crazy, but I wish he had named me “executor” of his blog before he died so I could take proper care of it. 😦

  76. Quite the contrary “R”, it had everything to do with Planned Parenthood as the are America’s largest abortion provider, even though it was Move On that made the insinuation.

I proved Poolman wrong with Planned Parenthood’s own material – that is abortion is their cash cow, that has nothing to do with freedom and everything to do with profit for death.

Why should I be surprised you weren’t bothered by that Hippie comment? The two of you are two peas in a pod concerning theology, and your death will be just as tragic without a shred of hope.

And that too will sadden me.

  77. I proved Poolman wrong with Planned Parenthood’s own material – that is abortion is their cash cow, that has nothing to do with freedom and everything to do with profit for death.

Are you on some kind of medication? You sourced a propaganda piece. The BALANCE SHEET you claimed you linked was not that. I found the balance sheet FROM the resources listed IN the link you posted. Cash cow? They take in 15 percent of revenues from abortion. That leaves 85 percent of the cow untouched. About like your gray matter, I suppose.

  78. I heard today S Dakota passed legislation making it harder to get abortions. There is a 72 hour wait and forced education required for anyone requesting an abortion. I’m good with that. It SHOULD be a state decision. I think they should provide this type of education in schools. Whatever happened to health class? Was that part of the GOP cuts?

  79. There was a “good conservative Christian” mother in our community that was openly anti-abortion and called herself pro-life. Her teenage daughter got preggers and she was sneakingly seeking to get her taken care of. Caused quite a controversy among those that knew.

Bottom line, it is one thing to push your beliefs on others. But when it comes to your own house, you had better practice what you preach. That is why most nonChristians are critical of those calling themselves believers. The hypocrisy generally reeks to high heaven. Look how far so many have fallen over the past decades. Most calling themselves conservatives.

  80. Rutherford, that Alex Jones piece was pretty good. Yeah, I am very familiar with him and his beliefs. He doesn’t blame the Joooos and he is apolitical. Plenty in the Truth movement don’t trust him. But hey, that’s a pretty paranoid bunch, right? I really am surprised he hasn’t gone the way of Bill Cooper.

  81. You sourced a propaganda piece.

    Propaganda like PP’s annual report.

The BALANCE SHEET you claimed you linked was not that. I found the balance sheet FROM the resources listed IN the link you posted.

Gawd, you’re stupid. Take a look again.

Cash cow? They take in 15 percent of revenues from abortion. That leaves 85 percent of the cow untouched.

    An utter bald-faced lie.

About like your gray matter, I suppose.

Wizard, this place isn’t Fat Grannies where you were with your kind – uneducated, illiterate, filthy, and untruthful. You should be glad the Yeller Dawg shows up on occasion. If not, you would be far and away the stupidest person that ever graced this board.

Don’t forget Mullet – taxes are due in three weeks, if you have any income to report. 😉

  82. Mullet,

Just off the top of my head, let’s play a math game. Planned Parenthood performs about 275,000 abortions a year. Let’s low ball and say the abortion with pre-op and follow-up costs $500. It’s a hell of a lot more than past 12 weeks, but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Can you multiply numb nuts? Take your 15% and shove it up your wrinkled ass.

  83. I have to admit I thought Tex was going to link to a vid of HP sacrificing a goat to Satan, so I was relieved.

The silly atheist site was an odd place for a grown man to hang out at though. Any grown up spending most of his time mocking God is almost as constantly blaming one’s parents for his own shortcomings.

However, I’m with Rutherford. The problem of evil is a tough one to get over. A father watching his beloved two year old little daughter being ripped out of his arms by an angry sea imposing its evil will within the walls of his collapsing home is hard to take. Really hard to take.

  84. By the way Wizard, I just looked it up. Your favorite abortion provider had clinical revenues of approximately $392M.

Low balling like I did, try 40%. And with 2nd trimester abortions that PP “specializes in”, I can guarantee you its a lot closer to 50% of their clinical revenue; probably much more. Like I said – a Cash Cow.

Leave the math to somebody that can multiply Mullet. 😈

  85. “Kinetic Military Action” is some pretty impressive stuff. It includes turning the Lybian army into dust. Fuck it. Why can’t Obama admit the Rubicon was crossed and let the chips fall where they may? I don’t get it?

Like many people, I sure hope we aren’t helping “Man Made Disaster Doers” by using “Kinetic Military Action”.

Maybe Obama is the ultimate hawk?
Syria might be next to get a dose of Kinetic Military Action.

The NATO shit is going to be laughable. As I said before, NATO is America.

How does Obama manage to go with “shock and awe” AND look weak at the same time is actually an amazing feat when you think about.

    Bewildering, but amazing.

  86. GI, After tons of reading and google, I’ll concede my 15% and go for a third (30-35%) of PP total income comes from abortions and abortion related services. That is according to recent National Right to Life information. They usually try to be pretty truthful with their facts and stats. The available information is really all over the map, and depending on who puts it out, it goes one direction or the other. The fact is, much of the privatized facilities offering abortion have disappeared and PP has filled the gap. They do 1 in 4 of all abortions in the USA.

Overall, abortions have declined steadily every year for the past decade. To me that means we are better educating our youth and/or birth control is better or more readily available. I don’t think less sex is happening, based on what is reflected in studies, and on TV and other media. Of course the kids could be veering more toward oral practices.

It looks as if they’re losing ground. Planned Parenthood is on the decline, closing clinics everywhere. No one wants them in their neighborhood. Most abortions today are chemical rather than surgical. The next decade may see PP going away completely. Then, like much of all other health services, the wealthy will be at the advantage if and when they find “need” for one.

  87. Quite the contrary “R”, it had everything to do with Planned Parenthood as the are America’s largest abortion provider, even though it was Move On that made the insinuation.

Tex, hate to go back and forth with you on this one but the vid, according to the actress (Lisa Edelstein) who is in it, is about House bill HR3:

The legislation, as originally proposed, would have redefined rape and incest for purposes of federal funding to take away access to the full range of reproductive health care for some victims of rape and incest. (H.R.3, H.R.358)

The article that quotes Edelstein and the Kirsten Gillibrand web site that has more details:

    http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/blog/2011/02/17/video-moveonorg-joins-effort-educate-public-about-threats-womens-lives

    http://gillibrand.senate.gov/newsroom/press/release/?id=349bec4e-2728-4f04-a7d7-40c6f6674d4c

The video pre-dates the PP controversy by at LEAST a few weeks.

  88. Now here is a serious question regarding my two favorite dimwits.

Apparently Michele Bachmann is establishing an exploratory committee for the purpose of running for Pres in 2012 (please wait a moment for me to stop laughing, hard to laugh and type at the same time …..)

Ah, ok I’m back. Now, if memory serves, Sarah Palin said she would only run if there were no candidate who represented her views of limited government and allegiance to our founding fathers. Since Bachmann satisfies that requirement in spades, does this mean Sarah will definitely NOT run?

Oh God … the entertainment value. Can you imagine the GOP debates in early 2012 with both Bachmann and Palin on the stage? Toss in Donald Trump and you’ve got a ratings bonanza! Oh no, here comes another roar of laughter …

    can

    not

    type

    another

    word …

    ROTFLMAO!

    Bwahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! 😆 😆

  89. “R”,

You missed my point to Poolman because I did a poor job of explaining my position in the last comment to you. Poolman said, “No where does it show tax revenue going to fund abortions.”

Perhaps I shouldn’t have used the video as example, so I stand corrected. I listened again, and I’m not sure where I heard “Planned Parenthood.” Mea culpa.

But my point to Poolman holds. Tax revenue is indeed going to fund abortions, and it is easily proven.

My point to Poolman was that with videos like MoveOn made, it provides the insinuation that if any allocation is reduced, (whether by reduction of insurance) by defunding of Planned Parenthood, we will return to the days of back alley abortions, a myth which never existed in reality to begin with. Planned Parenthood is using using Federal monies to provide abortions – thousands of them.

We’ve got videos, several eye witnesses including clinical heads who once ran the clinics of Planned Parenthood, and even the man of once ran Planned Parenthood and coined the term “back alley abortions” as witness.

  90. Ehhh, didn’t the Pope just absolve Jews of any guilt in Christ’s death?

Well, I’ll go with Paul in the NT, as in 1 Thessalonians 2, verses 14 and 15…

For you, brothers, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own countrymen the same things those churches suffered from the Jews, who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to all men.

The Sanhedrin, aka organized church of the time. All these organized church hierarchy types usually cover each other butts.

  91. Poolman, the Jews were only the motivator, and the Romans the means. All men killed Jesus, starting with the very first couple, as Christ’s a voluntary sacrificial gift.

Do you think “God manifesting as flesh”, capable of calling on 12,000 angels with a thought, was killed without voluntarily sacrificing Himself? One angel slaughtered 185,000 men in one night.

Please, knock of your perverted Jew hating and get your head in the game. You’ve got from mildly amusing, to slowly offensive, to patently stupid.

If you must blame someone Wizard or something, blame God. That’s right – God Almighty.

The entire New Testament is based on the fact that it was GOD’S LOVE FOR HUMANITY THAT ULTIMATELY KILLED JESUS CHRIST.

Put a sock in your stupid mouth when you try to explain scripture. You’re a disgrace…

  92. Huck, I will give you this much — Obama’s stated opinion on wars without congressional consent (stated as a candidate) are coming back to haunt him.

In fact, I don’t know how effective it will be, but any GOP opponent can have an awfully good time pointing out the stark difference between the promised Obama administration and the reality Obama administration.

  93. Put a sock in your stupid mouth when you try to explain scripture. You’re a disgrace…

Does that apply to when I quote it verbatim? [Sock in hand, ready to deposit in mouth]

  94. Your quoting scripture is on par with the every popular “judge not lest ye be judged”, as if we are not supposed to ever judge. Now does that make sense, that we are never to judge a thing? But I quoted scripture verbatim, didn’t I?

Why don’t you attempt to quote scripture in the correct consequence by providing the supporting verses? Did you bother to even mention why and where Paul was making that pronouncement? No, you did not.

    ——–

I read an interesting fun fact tonight. I’ve noticed recently the burgeoning interest in finding life elsewhere, and the new and enhance interest in aliens.

Did you guys know that in 1900, the French Academy of Science offered a prize of 100,000 francs for the first person to make contact with an alien civilization—so long as the alien was not from Mars, because the Academy was convinced that a Martian civilization was an established fact? 😆

  95. Rutherford, you never answered my U.N. question in 61. That was specifically for you and I was interested.

  96. Poolman, you make it easy for me to enjoy watching people burn. 🙂

Stuff a sock in it. You’re nothing but a Jew hater, Jew baiter. Remember, you’re not the preacher and upstanding member on the R.L. blog. This isn’t Fat Grannies, where you climbed from the muck.

You have to rise to the occasion to be taken seriously here. So far, you’ve failed miserably Bart.

P.S. – Isaiah was a Jew. You would have hated him too. Probably blamed him for drought, failed pool businesses, the IRS conspiracy, and 9/11.

  97. I love Isaiah! Many of his prophecies are coming true today. Some will be soon. Take heed faithless one. Here’s some more of the Zionist love…

  98. “Why do you support our membership in the U.N.? ”

I know you were asking Rutherford, but I would like to answer this.

I believe in the UN as a platform for international diplomacy. The world needs a place for its governments to gather and talk about stuff. To me, that is what the UN is supposed to be about.

I don’t agree that it should be used to force countries into doing things or to keep countries from doing things. But I do think it is the place for countries to talk about forcing other countries to do or not do things.

Nor do I agree with UN peacekeeping missions. Not because of how UN people sometimes act on them. People are people and some of them are assholes. I blame humanity for that, not the UN. But those missions are useless in stopping someone from doing what they want, so they are a waste of resources and put people in danger.

But I do agree with UN fact finding missions, even if I disagree with their findings. We should always encourage a search for the truth.

I like the UN for the talking, not for the doing. I think its charter suggests it was created with more talking in mind, because sovereignty is a big thing in it. I think it has gotten away a little bit from what it was supposed to be, but I think reform is the answer to that.

  99. Some “special” people get a free pass from the UN. The “allies” get special treatment and forgiveness of their “sins”. Some would call it a double standard. Others think it is restitution for years of persecution. Of course, slavery lasted longer than the holocaust, but affected a different color of flesh than the majority of those rounded up in concentration camps. I don’t think the gypsies and homosexuals that ended up in those camps got as much play off the event, but hey, what do I know.

Feel the love of your people, GI. They think you’re worse than a terrorist.
And they equate your kind to a Nazi. Feel the love?
Not only that, don’t ever claim to be a missionary. That’s a dirty word in Israel. You might as well be an Arab or Muslim. I think it’s even worse. But keep sending all your tax money and church collections. Keep sending all that military aid. These are the vulnerable ones. 🙄

  100. In fact, I don’t know how effective it will be, but any GOP opponent can have an awfully good time pointing out the stark difference between the promised Obama administration and the reality Obama administration.” – R

Which is why I wouldn’t get too snarky about Bauchman or Palin running. Any GOP candidate is going to have a plethora of material to hang around the neck of your dear leader, and that will not change. You grossly underestimate Bauchman, and if Newt is the candidate, well, Obama doesn’t stand a chance in the debates.

Every conservative 527 worth its salt is going to go after Obama and the unions will be more trouble than they are worth defending him. You are going to have to come to terms with the fact that this guy has not helped the American people, and while we’ve been struggling, he’s been drunk on the excess of office.

The money quote from my latest piece Some Core Principles…:

The left can continue to throw mud on the wall in the desperate hope that something sticks to tarnish the image and subsequently cause the tea party movement to falter, but the 800 lb gorilla in the room is the simple fact that were it not for the Obama Administration, there would be no Tea Party. These principles, and the Administrations defile of such, define the ever growing fracture between We the People and the Administration.

  101. I know R doesn’t think much of her, but Noonan hits it on the head with her latest:

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704604704576221142167651286.html

    So did Gorilla:

“You are going to have to come to terms with the fact that this guy has not helped the American people, and while we’ve been struggling, he’s been drunk on the excess of office.”

Well back to the links or the beach for Obama. That’s where he gets all his thinking done, right Rutherford? 😆

  102. Interesting take on the U.N Huck. It really wasn’t intended as a leading question, and I appreciate your input as I don’t claim to have an expert opinion. Let me provide my own viewpoint.

I believe in the UN as a platform for international diplomacy. The world needs a place for its governments to gather and talk about stuff. To me, that is what the UN is supposed to be about.

That was the original idea of the League of Nations after WWI – provide a forum for nations to discuss and settle their grievances without first resorting to war. In theory, I believe in that too as we don’t live in a bubble here in the U.S..

My opinion is simply based on the U.S. portion of the price tag, the attitude and arrogance of the aggregate, the fact I think the U.N. inept and corrupt, with the deck stacked against the U.S, to a lesser degree our allies, and most definitely Israel. Problem is, the U.N.’s performance hasn’t matched its good intent. Take for instance, the International Court of Justice during the Slobodan Milosevic trial – he had to die to receive justice.

I just don’t see any measurable benefit to the U.S. Huck, a whole lot of downside, and believe it is time to reevaluate our position. In fact, I can’t think off hand of one measurable benefit that the U.N. provides anymore to the U.S.

I would like to see it moved elsewhere and our portion cut to a fraction of what we pay. We shouldn’t let them dictate our own policy.

This is why I think Obama has once again blown it. He should have gone to the U.S. Congress, not the U.N. for permission, because this is war, even if the short-term risk to the U.S. minimal. There will be lasting repercussions.

  103. Mullet, the Grand Dragon Wizard of Phoenix,

Why are you showing me this? Do you think I live in some vacuum of space and am not aware of any of this? Not only am I aware, I have personally experienced the hatred. Should I be surprised most Jews have enmity with Jesus? That’s why they call themselves Jews and not Christians. 😉

But you still don’t understand this very simple point which I can’t get thru the hood on your pointed head.

I still have practical reasons for my support of Israel and the Jews of Israel which I have documented here numerous times, but my loyalties are not based on man but by God.

Why is that so hard for you to understand Wizard?

  104. It’s funny how everyone is armchair quarterbacking this Libyan situation. It really doesn’t matter what the president does or doesn’t do, he will be lambasted for it. Funny how Peggy Noonan thinks he needs to come out and give us a speech. That is her realm of reality. Fanciful speech. What words will he use to pacify the masses? I generally appreciate her perspective. Now she is dumbfounded.

Those that claim all he ever does is speak are stunned. Is speaking suddenly leading? His objectives have been made known. Let’s see if we can stick to the game plan. Aren’t we impressed that even Arab nations have stepped up to the plate and participated in this crippling of Gaddafi’s might?

I’m really amused this time. It is hilarious to see the Newt go full flip flop and then try to reconcile his words on facebook and twitter. This event will show who is prodding who and where the allegiances lie. A real WTF moment, for sure. 😀

  105. “It’s funny how everyone is armchair quarterbacking this Libyan situation.”

Really? I mean really? Why do you think that is Poolman?

Where the F&^ck is the real quarterback? You know, the point . . .

  106. Now does that make sense, that we are never to judge a thing? But I quoted scripture verbatim, didn’t I?

Well Tex, Lawrence O’Donnell (or Crazy Larry as his friends call him) took you one step further. He said that no sane rational Christian takes the Book of Revelations seriously. (Yes I understand “judge not…” is not from Revelations, not my point.)

As I’ve said so many times before, the Bible with all its contradictions is a salad bar from which Christians take what they like, and discard the rest. You eat the lettuce and skip the croutons. Poolman likes the croutons. 😉

  107. Tex, sorry … didn’t mean to ignore your UN question. Honestly, I’m no expert on the United Nations. I’ve always accepted it at face value as a venue for international cooperation. If someone were to suggest it has outlived its usefulness, I’d have to do a lot more research before I came to its defense.

I have similar feelings about the NAACP. It was right for its time but I’m not convinced it is relevant anymore.

  108. How dishonest is the myth Bush went at it alone in Iraq, versus Obama building a coaltion in Libya?

Published: Obama is committed to partnering with other countries rather than going it alone as did his predecessor George W. Bush, which both broadens and complicates the decision-making process.

    http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2011/03/24/us/politics/politics-us-mideast-usa.html?hp

The Truth:Bush had twice the number of Partners in Iraq that Obama has in Libya! 😉

    http://nation.foxnews.com/barack-obama/2011/03/21/fact-bush-had-2-times-more-coalition-partners-iraq-obama-has-libya

More and more lies from the Left being exposed each passing day. But don’t expect a retraction or correction.

  109. Ahhhh having read Huck’s answer to the UN question just now … yes what he says makes sense to me. Again, I’d have to dig deeper to disagree with him. I think he’s captured the spirit of the UN which is international communication and cooperation.

  110. As I’ve said so many times before, the Bible with all its contradictions is a salad bar from which Christians take what they like, and discard the rest.

Except you’ve never been able to point out a contradiction that held any water. 😉

By the way, Lawrence O’Donnell, a self-professed socialist, has been caught in so many lies, that I could easily say Lawrence O’Donneell with all his contradictions is a salad bar from which Leftists take what they like, and discard the rest. You eat the lettuce and skip the croutons.

But anybody dumb enough to say no sane, rational Christian would believe ‘The Book of the Revelation’ demonstrates two things: (1) He has no concept of Christianity, (2) No sane, rational Christian could deny Revelation and still call himself Christian.

I continue to be bewildered how somebody like you can write so well, yet seldom demonstrate the talent of a rational, sane critical thought. Every once in a while, you do as you did at Fat Grannies. But those grow more and more rare as your personal investment in Obama loses more value.

  111. Ewwwww …. Poolman has touched a nerve with me on this one. One of the reasons I react very personally to the constant “respect” reserved only for Jews is the total ignorance of equal persecution against blacks. I understand the Holocaust was reprehensible. I don’t deny that it happened. I see how that even could f*ck up the psyche of a people for decades to come.

Yet conservatives give no such sympathy to American blacks regarding the history of slavery and discrimination in this country. Blacks should just “get over it”. If I ever said that Jews should just “get over the Holocaust”, I’d be labeled an anti-Semite faster than a speeding bullet.

This is one of the things that complicates my feelings toward our foreign policy with Israel.

  112. Rutherford, as you like to correct me for minor nuances, I in turn need to correct you about something.

Revelation is singular, not plural – common mistake amongst the bleating Obama sheep and Bible critics, demonstrating their elementary criticism strictly hearsay, and not well founded. 🙂

  113. I loathe Lindsay but are we leading?

Alfie, we’ve done the bulk of the heavy lifting so far and the turn over to NATO, if I am to believe my brother Rabbit, is just a greater “opportunity” for American leadership.

I don’t see us being a minor support player any time soon.

  114. Yet conservatives give no such sympathy to American blacks regarding the history of slavery and discrimination in this country. Blacks should just “get over it”.

Except I don’t see that Jews demand (1) Jewish history month: (2) Double standards in behavior; (3) Reparations; (4) Trillions in financial assistance with no intent of giving back; (5) apartheid, but still with privileges.

Are you really sure you wish to compare the current environment of blacks vs. Jews? I’m afraid you’ll be left with egg on your face if you dare…

  115. It really doesn’t matter what the president does or doesn’t do, he will be lambasted for it.

Amen to that Brother! Peggy used to write speeches for a living. She LOVES to hear herself talk. I didn’t even need to read the article … I may read it later for a chuckle. She’s a self-important wind-bag who peaked in the Reagan years. 😐

  116. P.S. to 146, before people go off on their “Rutherford hates all conservative women” rant …. Noonan is 1 million times smarter than Palin or Bachmann …. I do give her props for that.

  117. My wife had MSNBC on the other night when LO made this rant.

O’Donnell called the Book of Revelation “a work of fiction” that portrays a “a truly vicious God.” He further stated that “no half-smart religious person actually believes the book of Revelation.” And even called God a “malicious torturer and mass murderer beyond Hitler’s wildest dreams.”

Then he defends his ignorance and claims he knows, with certainty, this is not the end of the world.

The more I listen to the guy, the less respect I have for him. I think he lost a chunk of his audience that day. I used to think he did okay when he sat in on the McLaughlin Group. Now… meh.

  118. Except I don’t see that Jews demand (1) Jewish history month: (2) Double standards in behavior; (3) Reparations; (4) Trillions in financial assistance with no intent of giving back; (5) apartheid, but still with privileges.

Cough, cough….GUFFAW!!! WTF?!?!? Are we even on the same planet? Why don’t you review this thread. What was it you mentioned about a vacuum? 🙄

  119. I’m still stunned over that…

Of course the Jews you defend, are they the ones that converted to Judaism? I don’t know too many folks that have converted to being black. I think MJ tried going the other direction, even though his was mostly a skin condition. But really? Have you ever studied South Africa and apartheid? Seriously.

Have you seen the movie “Amazing Grace”? Do you know about real American history?

    I’m stunned. Really.

  120. Poolman, I know you don’t court my opinion, but I’m going to tell you this anyway. Forgetting the pejoratives for one moment, you’re on the wrong side of the tracks if you believe what you say you believe. You should be drawing a different set of conclusions than you do.

You purport an expression of Christian doctrine, but if you were being truthful and objective, you should find places like Planned Parenthood, Margaret and Helen’s and that Chatter Kitchen den of rejects, or whatever that hen house is called, a cesspool of amoral thought lacking any semblance of moral clarity. There is nothing good that comes from either of those blogs, and Planned Parenthood is simply an abomination, masquerading under the guise of “helping the poor.” Planned Parenthood preys on the poor with the help of your tax dollars, and their supposed do gooder executives make in the neighborhood of more than a million a year.

Lawrence O’Donnell is the modern day King Ahab of TV, with his bride Jezebel of MSNBC. You’re looking at the modern day equivalent of nothing more than Baal worshipers of antiquity. There is nothing new under the sun. They’ll be dealt with soon enough…so I mostly ignore them.

  121. I’m not defending the policies of South America or slavery. Both were abhorrent and a crime against humanity.

Let’s take an objective look at South America now in its post-apartheid. You would quickly realize the problems of S.A. were far more complex than just apartheid.

For instance, since the end of apartheid, life expectancy has fallen by 13 years in South Africa. 25% more people now live in abject poverty than during apartheid. The the corrupt ruling class has black faces now instead of white faces. White farmers are being butchered, just like black peasants were being butchered. AIDS is on the increase. The lack of a moral compass and brutality just switched races.

And you don’t even want me to go off and what has happened to the typical black family in America, through no fault of white America. This is a making of their own doing. It’s an unmitigated disaster, with 74% of black children now born out of wedlock. Black on black crime is rampant and reaching historically high levels. If you want to call me a racist for speaking truth, have at it.

Your false piety mouthing platitudes adds nothing to an honest discussion, but is yet another indicator to me that you’re a simple rube without much understanding that isn’t spoon fed by your inept and corrupt sourcing like Lawrence O’Donnell; himself a corrupt man with an agenda.

  122. “Yet conservatives give no such sympathy to American blacks regarding the history of slavery and discrimination in this country.”

Pardon me? How is that one expresses their “sympathy” Rutherford?

  123. G.E.’s Strategies Let It Avoid Taxes Altogether

The company reported worldwide profits of $14.2 billion, and said $5.1 billion of the total came from its operations in the United States.

Its American tax bill? None. In fact, G.E. claimed a tax benefit of $3.2 billion.

President Barack Obama has appointed Jeffrey Immelt, chief executive of General Electric Company to head the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. The new White House board is aimed at finding ways to foster private-sector job growth and replaces an existing panel called the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board, led by former Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker. The name of the new panel stresses competitiveness and job creation. Mr. Immelt also served on the previous panel. Mr. Volcker will not join the new council.

You libs like Rutherford and Poolman claim ad nauseam the Republican Party is beholden to Big Business, if memory serves. That would go for the hacks at MSNBC to I believe?

    Come again?

    Why don’t you pen a post on this Rutherford, so that I can demonstrates Mr. Obama’s duplicity and lack of candor in campaigning during 2008? {crickets}

  124. “I would like to see it moved elsewhere…”

I agree with that, because I think the practice of denying diplomats entry into the US just because we don’t like their country is utter bullshit.

“It really doesn’t matter what the president does or doesn’t do, he will be lambasted for it.”

I wasn’t saying anything when he was keeping us out of it. I have said all along that it shouldn’t be our fight and nothing has happened to change my mind.

“His objectives have been made known.”

Oh they have, huh? Care to list them for us? Because the objectives seem to change depending on who we hear from.

“Aren’t we impressed that even Arab nations have stepped up to the plate and participated in this crippling of Gaddafi’s might?”

No. We are not impressed with the 1 plane Qatar has sent to do combat patrols alongside the French. No. We are not impressed that they have said they will not fire on any Libyans. Are you impressed by that?

“This event will show who is prodding who and where the allegiances lie.”

I see we aren’t far off from questioning people’s loyalty to America if they don’t support Obama’s war.

  125. I agree with that, because I think the practice of denying diplomats entry into the US just because we don’t like their country is utter bullshit.

I’ll grant you that rant Huck, if in turn you’ll agree that upon entry into the U.S., the diplomats abide by the same laws as U.S. citizens, and not be able to claim diplomatic immunity for such charges as: murder, manslaughter while driving intoxicated, special privileges as in parking, and rape. 😉

  126. Tex. I have no problems with that. But them respecting our laws is not what we base their entry upon.

The Libyan ambassador that Gaddafi was attempting to replace after his diplomatic corps turned on him didn’t violate our laws any more than the Honduran diplomat who was sent by his new government.

Both were denied entry into the US so they could represent their country in an international body because of mysterious issues with their visas…all because our government doesn’t like theirs.

Of course, we have diplomats here that are not here for the UN. Countries have diplomatic missions and embassies all over the US that have absolutely nothing to do with the UN.

  127. Gorilla, that’s wild! Only goes to show one man’s freedom fighter is another man’s terrorist. He was defending against an invading force and defending his fellow brethren. War, like politics, makes for strange bedfellows.

  128. Strange bedfellows indeed Gorilla…

It’s getting more difficult by the day to distinguish the good guys from the bad guys on the battle field. Like Animal Mother of Full Metal Jacket fame once said, “Well, if you ask me, uh, we’re shooting the wrong gooks. …”

However, I do notice one common thread with the bad guys on the battle field. One way or another, it has something to do with the Religion of Pieces.

Maybe we ought to adapt some of Animal Mother’s other good advice. It’s the one I would follow.

  129. ANOTHER LIB LEGEND IS ABOUT TO BITE THE DUST…

Buwahahahahahaha…Never did I dream Obama’s lovefest with failed Keynesian theory also begin to unravel the myth called FDR. The media were corrupt shills long before the Kennedy Klan hit the scene.

Former NY mayor Ed Koch reveals new evidence of genuine anti-Semitism on the part of Franklin Delano Roosevelt:

The document which Dr. Medoff sent me last week, concerning FDR and the Holocaust, was frankly shocking. It had to do with the Allies’ occupation of North Africa, which they liberated from the Nazis in November 1942. At the time, President Roosevelt publicly pledged the Allies would do away with the anti-Jewish laws that had been in force in the region. But when FDR met in Casablanca with local government leaders in January 1943, he took a very different line. The transcript of those discussions, which Dr. Medoff cites, reveals what FDR said about the status of the 330,000 Jews living in Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia: “The number of Jews engaged in the practice of the professions (law, medicine, etc) should be definitely limited to the percentage that the Jewish population in North Africa bears to the whole of the North African population…The President stated that his plan would further eliminate the specific and understandable complaints which the Germans bore toward the Jews in Germany, namely, that while they represented a small part of the population, over fifty percent of the lawyers, doctors, school teachers, college professors, etc., in Germany, were Jews.”

God does work in mysterious ways….

  130. The more I listen to the guy, the less respect I have for him.

Sorry Poolman but some of us think that was one of Lawrence’s finer moments. He points out that the biblical penalty for adultery is death. The biblical penalty for disrespect of one’s parents is death. Anyone who claims to be a bible literalist is either a liar or a fool. And that is also his point about the Book of Revelation.

The world ain’t ending today or tomorrow. Crazy Larry knows it, Glenn Beck knows it and you, Tex and I know it too.

  131. Tigre, sometimes too many words weaken the argument. I’ll make it simple, when everyone agrees that Jews should just “get over” the Holocaust and get on with it, then I’ll listen to the same advice about blacks regarding slavery.

  132. Oh and by the way Poolman, the thing that got Crazy Larry fired from the “McLaughlin Group” was when he went off on Mormons. And I mean WENT OFF. I thought his head was going to explode. And honestly, I quite liked it. I’ll grant a certain necessary respect to the “classic” religions that have stood the test of time. Mormonism is the creation of a con artist. I am still dumbfounded how it has survived. I put it in the same category as the Church of Scientology.

  133. What makes me laugh at O’Donnell, is on his most lucid times which have grown more infrequent as he has aged, is he still clings to the fact he thinks himself “Christian”, more specifically Catholic and Christian.

O’Donnell is one of TV’s biggest phonies and hypocrites.

P.S. Rutherford, you continue to show your biblical ignorance. No where in the Bible does God ever talk of the world ending – it is a world without end, which will be remade in a new creation, but it is never destroyed.. You’re at your worst when you try to be philosophical. 🙂

  134. I thought old “R” may grown silent about GE and crony capitalism. 😉 Strange how the Lefties never mention GE.

  135. @Rutherford 144
I have to disagree with you. The United States under Obama has shown an indecisiveness that in the real time of many areas of Real Politik is negligence.
You can trash America all you want but if we are not proud and willing of/to be the shining beacon on the hill we might as well just chuck it in and all learn Mandarin or Han real f@#$ing quick.

  136. dead rabbit. I know I got on your bad side a thread or two ago but you ok man? I was thinking of your trials up to and including your recent injury and thought you were nearing Job like angst. I’m a Red Sox fan which I know makes me s#!% in your book but honest I’m plugging for ya.

  137. Rabbit,

You got the bees a humming yet? I’m going to drive up to MI to try some of that home made brew.

I never understood if you were serious about your home plans.

  138. He points out that the biblical penalty for adultery is death. The biblical penalty for disrespect of one’s parents is death. Anyone who claims to be a bible literalist is either a liar or a fool.

Old Testament mumbo jumbo. Talmudic law, Sharia Law, Judiciary Law. Much the same. Rules with interpretations and precedent as a means to judge action and consequence with the fantasy of achieving a semblance of justice and equity. Power, wealth, and influence trumphs over all the law. It did then and it does now.

Mankind has always wanted to establish the rules so he can find ways to oppress all others and bend them for himself. The fact that man is inherently selfish and evil is key. There is nothing new under the sun. That’s why the New Testament was established. Renewal. Reconciliation. To once again affirm the golden rule. If you practice the golden rule, all other rules are not necessary.

  139. Hey GI,

did you go through all 23 chapters I linked in 162, or did you lemming out? Whew! That was a lot of reading, especially following the links that still work. I think that was compiled in ’02 or ’03. I found a few things throughout that were wrong. Turkey’s connection was left out, I believe, and that’s where Sibel Edmonds comes in. She is not Jewish, as the piece claims, rather Turkish-American and born in Iran. Even your buddy Billy Graham provides his 2 cents. Pretty much dead on information and with sound logic. Sure makes those puzzle pieces fit into place. All a part of the grand design of things.

We are the big dog, that’s for sure. We sure were on the right path before WWI. Would be nice to go back knowing what we know now. Outsmarted and MANipulated, I guess. All those sellouts exposed. It’s good to know who has hold of the leash. Woof!

  140. No Wizard. I find you such a dunce, I practically ignore your links anymore, because they are nothing but some site you’ve found that fits your limited vocabulary and says what you need it to – any dunce can do that.

If you care to provide me an executive summary from your lowly perch, one that is both legible and has merit, I’ll be glad to respond.

Otherwise, I still think your a border line moron and rube. Matter of fact, lemming describes you well.

Remember Grand Dragon. Taxes are due April 15th. 😉

  141. Hey Lemming and Grand Wizard. Next time you find one of your spoofs passing as fact, can you find one that doesn’t contain a virus? I took a look and immediately was hit with a threat.

    Dumbshit… 🙄

  142. I took a look and immediately was hit with a threat.

That’ll teach you not to look before you leap. Walk by faith, not by sight, Balaam. What security software are you running anyway, Ptech? Make sure you got Ari’s version. 😎

  143. Alfie and Tex,

Thanks for asking. I have indeed found a new house for my family.

I was dead serious about the farm and honey bees. Ultimately, I decided against it. The farm house I had an opportunity to buy on a land contract would have been a nightmare to keep warm. The heating bill would have been more then the house payment!

I ended up going with a house that butts up to a baseball field. Its not a cookie cutter, but its actually far superior to the house I’m currently in now. We move in at the end of April.

It might not sound like much, but I pulled off a minor miracle.

I am buying this on a land contract as well.

So, 2 out of 3 of my goals were met.

    I’m not renting

And I’m not in Wayne County.

Alphie, you are not on my bad side at all!

There really is only one way to get on the bad side of the Rabbit. You would have to join the abortion fun house that “pro life” Poolman has or join Al Queda.

  144. “Tigre, sometimes too many words weaken the argument. I’ll make it simple, when everyone agrees that Jews should just “get over” the Holocaust and get on with it, then I’ll listen to the same advice about blacks regarding slavery.”

Sometimes too few words fail to address the argument.

So, okay. I for one say that Jews, “get over it.” They’ve already gotten on. Now the blacks can “get on with it.”

Let me know when you’re ready to stop using your “sympathy” to hold them back. 🙄

  145. Now the blacks can “get on with it.”

Yeah, easy to say. Sometimes too few words fail to address the argument. This after white man decimated their value and family structure for centuries. “Just pick up where you left off”… or better yet, “Follow our example.” 🙄

  146. You have to understand Poolman lexicon El Tigre. Took me over two months to break the code.

    Compassion = government teat.

Which of course, the misguided “compassion” multiplied the problem of broken homes and bad behavior about three fold, with many public housing projects now more dangerous than Tripoli.

And the kicker is these loons want government to run health care.

  147. Where the hell is yellowdog?

“Islamist Group Is Rising Force in a New Egypt

CAIRO — In post-revolutionary Egypt, where hope and confusion collide in the daily struggle to build a new nation, religion has emerged as a powerful political force, following an uprising that was based on secular ideals. The Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist group once banned by the state, is at the forefront, transformed into a tacit partner with the military government that many fear will thwart fundamental changes.

It is also clear that the young, educated secular activists who initially propelled the nonideological revolution are no longer the driving political force — at least not at the moment.
    [….]
“There is evidence the Brotherhood struck some kind of a deal with the military early on,” said Elijah Zarwan, a senior analyst with the International Crisis Group. “It makes sense if you are the military — you want stability and people off the street. The Brotherhood is one address where you can go to get 100,000 people off the street.”
    [….]
“We are all worried,” said Amr Koura, 55, a television producer, reflecting the opinions of the secular minority. “The young people have no control of the revolution anymore. It was evident in the last few weeks when you saw a lot of bearded people taking charge. The youth are gone.”
    [….]
About six groups from the ultraconservative Salafist school of Islam have also emerged in the era after President Hosni Mubarak’s removal, as well as a party called Al Wassat, intended as a more liberal alternative to the Brotherhood. “

  148. And here is what dog’s secular friends are doing in the Egypt they aren’t taking control of…

“CAIRO (AFP) – Amnesty International on Wednesday condemned the “shocking” treatment of women protesters in Egypt after serious allegations that the army subjected them to torture and forced “virginity tests”.”

  149. “Compassion = government teat.”

Yeah, got it. Look at the what it’s done to advance the black community. How uncompassionate.

  150. Yeah, easy to say. Sometimes too few words fail to address the argument. This after white man decimated their value and family structure for centuries. “Just pick up where you left off”… or better yet, “Follow our example.”

You have no fucking clue what the hell you are talking about.

The blacks had a family structure and some accountability to each other before the rise of the welfare state and the perverse incentives that rewarded out-of-wedlock birth and forced the male authority figures out of their homes and away from their families.

But that was just fine, because it ensured intergenerational dependency on Uncle Sugar and a subeconomy trading in Uncle Sugar’s various entitlements, which in turn lead to more of the same “leadership” that gave us this sorry situation to begin with.

  151. Compassion = government teat.

Wrong. Government needs to shrink and the “teats” need to dry up. People are compassionate, corporations are not. Corporations are sucking the blood out of the government cow right now.

And the kicker is these loons want government to run health care.

I’d rather the health community run healthcare, sans the insurance middlemen and the heavy administrative hand that seems to control every social endeavor we attempt. More like an arm of government, like the defense department should be. Not the feet and lower torso it has become.

  152. The blacks had a family structure and some accountability to each other before the rise of the welfare state

When and where did this exist?

  153. “Wrong. Government needs to shrink and the “teats” need to dry up”

Preach to the choir, brother. Preach to the choir.

  154. When and where did this exist?”

    Read his comment again.

“The blacks had a family structure and some accountability to each other before the rise of the welfare state

  155. Huck, I read it. What dates and places are you referring? When did the welfare state rise? The beginning of the “new deal’? I was looking for a specific period of time in the real world.

  156. Poolman, since you’re tacitly calling most of racists as is instinct by liberals when short of fact, it would behoove you to define exactly what has caused the destruction of the black family – more specifically out of wedlock children, missing fathers, and multi-generational welfare rolls.

I’ll give you a hint. Try the date May 7, 1964, to see if you can find an obvious parallel. 😉

  157. Graychin occasionally takes the Yeller Poodle out for a walk, and let’s him shit in the front yard of the Rutherford Lawson blog. A short term stinker for sure, but without much damage.

But ever since some of brought out the .22 and slingshots and popped the brain dead Dawg in the rump numerous times, even the runt has had his fill. Graychin got a longer leash, and the mange has moved down to Alfie’s front yard to relieve himself.

  158. it would behoove you to define exactly what has caused the destruction of the black family

Slavery was the start. Breaking up families. Debasing the man’s character and father position in the household. Then his lesser position of value in society up and into the sixties in America.

The resulting over compensation by the “welfare state” did nothing to rebuild self-esteem or re-establish worth, rather it had the opposite effect of assigning monetary value to parlay the societal guilt of character assassination. It transferred repayment for repentence.

The problem with much of America is we assign monetary value to worth. We buy and sell our love. Time is money to us.

  159. Poolman, so it ain’t the government teat. My original question for Rutherford was, “how is that one expresses their “sympathy?”
What is it? White guilt, black dependence, perpetuating racial division. . . anti Semitism. . . ?

  160. I don’t know, Tigre. I hold no animosity toward any person, regardless of race or religion. My objection is only with any harm they afford others. We are each on our own journey here. I can only choose my own steps. The footprints I leave, I am responsible for. My goal is to follow He who has provided an example.

  161. Only you can answer that. If you want to review all your previous comments and point out the ones that appear to draw that conclusion…

It is much more productive to start each new day with a fresh slate.

  162. “Are you saying I do?”

“Only you can answer that. If you want to review all your previous comments and point out the ones that appear to draw that conclusion…”

Translation: Only when you disagree with me.

  163. Poolman, there are none. I hold animosity towards name-calling liberals that rely on false equivalencies and false accusations of racism to substantiate their self-determined moral superiority. Rutherford knows how much I despise it. And since you took up for him and the charge, I thought you might (attempt to) back it up. You can go back to being an anti Semite I guess. 🙄

I will daydream about how nice it would have had our first black president be competent rather than the dispshit you elected and we predictably wound up with.

  164. Anti-Zionist, yes. Anti-semite, no. Anti-racist, yes.
Zionism = racism. Joooos came up with that equivilency. I just agree with that assessment.

  165. Isaiah was a Hebrew of royal lineage, an OT evangelist.
An awesome prophet, with words for today.
The Joooos sawed him in half with a wooden saw. 👿

Zionism was also directed at assimilation into the modern world. As a result of the Diaspora, many of the Jewish people were outcasts and had no knowledge of the modern era. There were Jews who desired complete assimilation and were willing to neglect their faith in an attempt at modernization. The assimilationists, who are depicted as truly messianic, were a radical group in Jewish history. They desired a pure revolution: a complete integration of Jews into European society. This would dispel any dissimilarity between Jews and non-Jews. They are described as messianic in their anticipation and desire of a new era. Assimilationists were not concerned with keeping their own identity but wanted homogeneity. They would disband their traditional views and opinions as long as it insured complete assimilation into the modern world. Another less radical form of assimilation was called cultural synthesis. Those in favor of cultural synthesis emphasized an obligation to maintain traditional Jewish values but also a need to conform to a modernist society. They are described as defensive and sought to reject the pure revolution that the assimilationists promoted. They aimed to eradicate any disparity between Jewish and modern life. However (in contrast with assimilationists), they also wanted to preserve their own faith and many of their traditional values. They were concerned that if Jews lost their identification, the result would be detrimental. Those in favor of cultural synthesis desired a balance between change and continuity as opposed to the assimilationists who only wanted change.[8]

In 1975, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution that designated Zionism as a “a form of racism and racial discrimination”. The resolution was repealed in 1991. Within the context of the Arab–Israeli conflict, Zionism is viewed by critics as a system that fosters apartheid and racism.[9]

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zionism

  166. George H. W. Bush personally introduced the motion to revoke the UN resolution with these words:

And now, for the first time, we have a real chance to fulfill the U.N. Charter’s ambition of working “to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and nations large and small to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom. Those are the words from the charter. We will not revive these ideals if we fail to acknowledge the challenge that the renewal of history presents.
….No one here can promise that today’s borders will remain fixed for all time. But we must strive to ensure the peaceful, negotiated settlement of border disputes. We also must promote the cause of international harmony by addressing old feuds. We should take seriously the charter’s pledge “to practice tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbors.”
UNGA Resolution 3379, the so-called “Zionism is racism” resolution, mocks this pledge and the principles upon which the United Nations was founded. And I call now for its repeal. Zionism is not a policy; it is the idea that led to the creation of a home for the Jewish people, to the State of Israel. And to equate Zionism with the intolerable sin of racism is to twist history and forget the terrible plight of Jews in World War II and, indeed, throughout history. To equate Zionism with racism is to reject Israel itself, a member of good standing of the United Nations.
This body cannot claim to seek peace and at the same time challenge Israel’s right to exist. By repealing this resolution unconditionally, the United Nations will enhance its credibility and serve the cause of peace.[2]

    Truth or BS? You, decide…

And that’s supposed to score points for your argument? The legitimacy of the opinion of the feckless U.N.? Yuck, yuck.

Now that is the same group that thinks Libya, Cuba and Iran belong on the Human Rights Council? Uh huh.

So what? These goons, goosesteppers and thieves hate the state of Israel like you, and about as corrupt and dishonest too – except they probably have diplomatic immunity on April 15th. 😉

You’re all peas in a pod.

  168. Yes, the UN hates Israel so much that it paved the way for its creation by partitioning the British Mandate of Palestine into what we now call Israel and the Occupied Territories.

  169. I just read a great piece found at Foreign Policy showing how the UN et al are punks. It looked at the happenings in Ivory Coast. This even shamed me because in the openings of the Jasmines I remained skeptical and harped on things like Saudi Arabia,Iran,Bahrain and Yemen. Meanwhile there is the happenings in Cote de Ivorie.
Hypocrisy? Lunacy? Racism? Oil? You tell me folks.

  170. Alfie, better not show that to Huck. I’ve never witnessed an American this side of San Francisco that plays such a toady to the feckless U.N.. Surprises me a little because in most instances Huck can be pretty reasonable. I think it’s the antagonism toward anything Judeo-Christian and the irreligious attitude, mixed with a good dose of irrational but profound Jew hatred. ❓

  171. Huck,

You seem to be more and more with academia each passing day, as more often than not, you’re starting to sound like one. And it won’t surprise me in the least if the one day you become a full-fledged progressive loon, with everything filtered through a worthless liberal arts degree, assuming it puts a little bread in your pocket. In fact, you sound terribly unprincipled my man.

How many of these do you need, before maybe you’ll begin to question your own bias and the unquestioned bias against Israel, a fact even Hillary Rotten and Obama have recognized?

These are normal weekly occurrences, one of hundreds I could have picked..

    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3657005,00.html

Interestingly, I went back and reviewed that favorable U.N. vote you speak (cough cough). And the only reason it passed were that there happened to be more Western countries, namely by the allies of WWII and South America.

Those who voted against the partition plan, were the countries you almost always lend support naturally: 😉

Afghanistan, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Yemen. And those moderate Muslims you also lend support of course attacked Israel the next day and were soundly defeated, as they will again soon be.

  172. Tex, I think you lose sight of the fact that of everyone on this board, Huck probably is the most knowledgeable about the UN. I seem to recall his participating in some sort of mini-UN exercises (sorry Huck if I’ve mis-named it).

Hence, I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss Huck’s POV on the matter. He clearly is not a non-critical UN lover. He has pointed out its failings but he supports its core mission as do I.

  173. On a different topic but one that emerged today, I am one liberal not particularly enamored of Geraldine Ferraro. Any thoughts from you right leaning folks on her legacy?

  174. This isn’t cool on my part, but I can’t help but chuckle every time Hucking talks about his model UN. I picture Hucking with a bad case of acne and a prep school jacket.

  175. Tigre, perhaps this doesn’t count as “sympathy” but what I would like to see is people, on a color-blind basis, work together to clean up impoverished neighborhoods. Drive the crackheads out. Start job programs. Invest in mom & pop stores. Invest in housing restoration. These responsibilities would be shared by folks of all races. Poverty is ten times more lethal than racism. Get more addicts in rehab and out of jail.

Normally, I would say different ethnicities comparing “pain” is a waste of time. I don’t visit the Jewish/Black comparison completely at ease. Everyone hurts and their hurt within their own community feels worse than anyone else’s hurt. So it riles me a bit when I get the feeling that folks think Jews have a monopoly on historic pain. They don’t.

The only other thing I want to say is there was a comment that Jews have gotten on with it while blacks have not. I think this ignores the fact that Jews were hated in Nazi Germany partly for being successful. Jews had a tradition of education and successful participation in modern society before the worst attempt to eradicate them. Blacks had no such history so to suggest that blacks get on with it with a blase tone, ignores the fact that Jews and blacks didn’t come from the same starting line pre-persecution.

Now one can say this is just excuse making. That’s fine. My version of history may be your example of an excuse. That’s why I say we return to my original premise. No handouts, no welfare, but a SERIOUS investment in improving the neighborhoods of poor (and in many cases black) communities with equal responsibility taken by the poor who live there and the wealthy who share their aspirations as fellow human beings.

  176. Rabbit…. thanks … “model UN” was the phrase I was looking for and forgot.

As for Ferraro: She was impossible not to like especially when she was saying Obama’s only qualification for nomination was being black.

She probably won over a lot of conservatives when she made that comment. 😦

I also found it funny that she took ethnic umbrage against the prosecution of her criminal husband. When you act like a crook, you should be treated like one and if it makes you resemble the stereotypical mobster, oh well, that’s the way the cannoli crumbles.

  177. Dude, you need to read up on Jewish history. The Jews have endured numerous holocausts. Its just that the last one was industrialized.

  178. One other quickie …. not tremendously surprised to learn that the Egyptian youth have returned to video games and f*cking while the religious radicals move in for the kill. I think it is generally true that young folks are great for flashes of conviction but cannot be depended on to hang in there for the long haul.

The middle east is one big clusterf*ck right now. Personally, I think I’m gonna go full throttle isolationist. World has gotten too damn crazy to bother with and we have our own problems to solve.

  179. I actually don’t know much about her. I never even heard of what you are referencing about her husband. She was kind of before my time.

  180. Rabbit, understood about a long history of Jewish targeted persecution. Still the Holocaust (maybe cos its on film) makes the other stuff pale in comparison. Your comment also does not contradict my assertion that Jews were not powerless when they were rounded up, They were successful and that success made them a scapegoat for Hitler.

  181. Actually, it was more then success. Hitler blamed the Jews for many of the same exact things poolman does.

While the endless occurrences of Jewish persecution doesn’t compare to the Holocaust, they are still very shocking and very common through time.

    Babylonian Captivity
    Egyptian Slavery
    Roman Diaspora
Inquisition (Spain came up with whole Star of David arm band thing)
    Crusades
Countless Pogroms due to being blamed for the Black Plague and massacred
Slaughtered during the 30 Years War
    Cossacks slaughtered them countless times

    Etc etc etc

Why do you think so many ended up in Poland? They were getting slaughtered every where else.

It amazes me they still walk the Earth.

  182. R, I’m not sure it can be said I’m ahead of the game.

    I have no credit. Zilch.

I also will live in fear of the bank destroying me for 20 years.

And its really not luck. The housing market is so swamped, you can do wonders with a lump sum of cash, a hand shake and a 300 dollar lawyer.

  183. R, by the way, I deem slavery to be a holocaust too. Low figures on the death rate of blacks crossing the Atlantic are around a million. Not to mention the horrors of slavery itself.

That being said, nothing compares to Jewish oppression throughout time. Nothing.

  184. Well, if I’m to believe what I’m reading, Al Queda fighters are pouring into Lybia.

Yet, many of the indigenous rebels are waving French and American flags.

How fucked up that American air and sea power are working in tandem with at least some Al Queda fighters on the ground.

This middle east shit is getting more grim every week.

R, if Obama leaves office with a middle east run by militant Islamic governments, would you concede that…err..Obama’s foreign policy was an utter disaster?

  185. @Alfie 211. I have been described as a Christian anarchist, among other colorful names, mostly out of Tex. I don’t know if that is accurate. I am sold out to Jesus and try to emulate His example as best I can determine it.

AFA the Hebrew race is concerned, they are some of the most brilliant and talented people to ever walk the planet. They are also notorious for getting others to work for them. Some would say they work smarter, not harder. Others equate that to exploiting people. They have been persecuted plenty over the years and many have changed their names to avoid that – some to the point of the subsequent generations not knowing their own heritage. There are also have the “lost tribes” of Israel scattered throughout the earth.

As for any race, there are both good and evil people. So not only do you have the most brilliant and good, but you have brilliant and evil. All peoples have a desire for self-preservation. Many of these will do it all costs.

Throughout scripture, the stories show God punishing them for apostacy time and again. But He always saves a remnant of His people. Finally, regarding the NT, God transcends all races, including Jews, for those “pure of heart”. He calls these Israel, the bride of His Christ (the seed of Abraham), the living ones, His chosen. He calls them children of God, inheritors of His kingdom and they are granted eternal life and a place in the world to come. The hope of glory.

  186. “And the only reason it passed were that there happened to be more Western countries, namely by the allies of WWII and South America.”

You don’t know that is the only reason it passed.

The UN has never had issue with Israel’s existence, but rather its actions.

“Those who voted against the partition plan, were the countries you almost always lend support naturally..”

I would be interested in seeing an example of my show of support for any of those countries.

“Geraldine Ferraro. Any thoughts from you right leaning folks on her legacy?”

She didn’t seem obnoxious or stupid.

  187. Yeah, you can laugh at my MUN stuff all you want. I am making a lot of academic contacts through that program and some cool free travel. I’m going again to NYC in 4 weeks. Staying in Times Square. All paid for by the university.

  188. Well Rabbit, since all the people in the know (Hillary made it public) claim we created Al Qaeda, who knows if it is a threat. Plenty of Al Qaeda have turned out to be Mossad. Your enemy today could be your ally tomorrow. Plenty unite to fight a common foe. It’s a “gun for hire” type of world we live in.

Just today we had a 24 year old Iraq veteran shoot someone during an argument in a parking lot and then was killed in a gun battle with police. Several other friends shot each other – some are being treated, others died. A 3-year-old drowned in a neighbor’s backyard pool. This is everyday news here in Phoenix. The shootings happened within a few miles of my house. The vet was said to be a very nice kid. Probably f**ked in the head from the war. I expect this will continue to increase. Yay.

The good news, border violence and illegal crossings are way down. Border towns are much safer than some of us in the interior anymore. I live in a decent neighborhood that used to be considered middle class.

  189. Look Rutherford. This is your standard ploy. Anybody that disagrees with me than normally agrees, you attempt to pile on because I’ve burned your ass so many times. zzzzzzz. In fact, I would generously say about once out of twenty times, do you even address my questions to you. I know why, as somewhere you’re embarrassed with everything you predicted the first few months we met blowing up in your face. In my opinion, it’s your most unredeeming characteristic . You’ve become a coward on your own board. You could start redeeming yourself by admitting Obama is an embarrassment and rank amateur as leader.

Tex, I think you lose sight of the fact that of everyone on this board, Huck probably is the most knowledgeable about the UN. I seem to recall his participating in some sort of mini-UN exercises (sorry Huck if I’ve mis-named it).

So, Huck been indoctrinated with horseshit from Liberal U., spoon fed by men from academia with a crooked, self-aggrandizing and self-serving agenda. Red Diaper babies. An expert at lies and propaganda is no expert at all, and Huck’s obsequious attitude toward everything academia has been mocked more than once. No need to go thru that exercise again.

Am I supposed to be impressed with someone that considers himself an “expert” of the useless, Jew hating U.N.? Anybody that gives an inkling of approval to that shit hole is as persona non grata as the U.N. diplomats themselves.

Any of us that graduated with anything beyond an undergraduate degree and more than a few years experience, understand this much. Higher education is a White Rabbit. It doesn’t prepare somebody for reality of the way things really are. These “brilliant” academicians help run D.C. and looked at how well that works.

If Huck doesn’t recognize the corruption, dishonesty, ineptness, obvious bias, and sheer evil of the U.N., then he’s as confused up as Poolman.

Hence, I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss Huck’s POV on the matter. He clearly is not a non-critical UN lover. He has pointed out its failings but he supports its core mission as do I.

What core mission? Dreams of Utopia? A New World Order? Stealing food from the mouth of babes and running from a fight? There is absolutely no good reason for us even being in that POS. Not one.

  190. Huck, congratulations on your trip to NYC on the state dole. I did that for 15 years, and wasn’t any smarter aferwards for it. But that was fun on the corporate dole – you weren’t paying for iit like the citizens of CA will pay for yours. 😉

“And the only reason it passed were that there happened to be more Western countries, namely by the allies of WWII and South America.”

You don’t know that is the only reason it passed.

Well, I can read a vote and draw line from A to B. Good grief… WTF do you think the vote was based? The same enemies then, are the same enemies now; the same ones that attacked the new state of Israel exactly 24 hours after announcement.

The UN has never had issue with Israel’s existence, but rather its actions.

What? The action of existence? You’re pals at the U.N. don’t seem to have a problem with allowing one thug after another to take the stage and openly exclaim, “We will exterminate the pigs and monkeys”, or attack Israel six times being attacked from all sides, or children being blown to bits on buses, or pizzerias being blown up, or wedding massacres, or entire families being butchered with knives two weeks ago, or bombs being shot at playgrounds, or Hamas, or Hezbollah, or or or…

This is useless. Screw it. Debating with Jew haters is futile. You fucks can crawl to Mecca…. 😈

  191. “Am I supposed to be impressed with someone that considers himself an “expert” of the useless, Jew hating U.N.?”

If you’re going to put shit in quotes then make sure it’s shit I’ve actually said. I don’t consider myself an expert on the UN and have never claimed such.

It probably just seems that way to you because you insist on talking about a topic you don’t know anything about except for what a couple of politicians have told you and what you Googled 5 minutes ago.

The fact is that the UN paved the way for the creation of Israel. You can qualify that with your baseless speculations all you want. They won’t change history.

    “What core mission?”

    It’s all right here.

“Any of us that graduated with anything beyond an undergraduate degree and more than a few years experience, understand this much…”

You really need some new material. I’m half way through my MA program and headed for doctoral studies that I actually intend on completing.

(On a side note…I sure could use HP’s wisdom with my thesis on the way terrorist groups attract and control their human resources. I miss that dude.)

  192. “The action of existence?”

No. The action of building settlements on land that isn’t yours and using over-aggressive tactics that are meant to punish not defend.

I agree that a firmer stance regarding how Israel is treated would be nice. But I don’t see its stance on what Israel does to be wrong.

  193. I wonder how much bulldozer operators make in Palestine?

The latest prophetic revelations from the Simpsons…

The head of mechanical and industrial engineering at Qatar University announced plans this week to develop an “artificial cloud” that will be positioned in the sky to provide shade and help reduce the heat in stadiums for the 2022 World Cup. The incredible plan has made news around the world with many wondering how Qatar University could come up with such a fantastical concept. Well, it didn’t. The Simpsons did. 😎

  194. Yeah, but I’m not anti-semitic. Besides, they probably aren’t union. I’m half Italian, I can fit in. You think the pay scale is race-based? Which do you think gets the highest pay if it is? Can you imagine bulldozing houses while people stood by watching their whole life disappear into dust? I don’t think they could pay me enough.

  195. “Huck, congratulations on your trip to NYC on the state dole. did that for 15 years, and wasn’t any smarter afterwards for it. But that was fun on the corporate dole – you weren’t paying for it like the citizens of CA will pay for yours.”-Tex

Lol. I wanted to say that but, unfortunately, my whole life depends on the state dole.

Get ready for some national news here in Michigan. Every single district is voting over going on some sort of illegal, limited strike. The MEA has lost its mind. At the same time some Republican (who just got caught banging is intern and who accepted MEA money) is sponsoring a bill that would take the certification a way from any teacher on strike.

So here I am again, just trying to make ends meet, caught in the middle of two warring political factions.

Will I walk past the picket line?

We vote Tuesday. I’m trying to convince the dummies this is NOT a political savvy move on our part.

You strike to end production, not to make a political statement with disastrous risk as a consequence.

  196. @ dead rabbit #245.
See that’s the kind of comment that speaks to how cool a DR blog may be. I understand your (and Tex’s) reservations about time etc. but had to say it.
More urgently I want to ask, what is the mood of the parents and tax payers there?
I’d agree that taking this action can only hurt you, especially seeing as the UAW is about to go center stage with something that I don’t think can help with the public opinion of unions to boot.

  197. “you weren’t paying for it like the citizens of CA students of your university will pay for yours.”

Our funding doesn’t come from the taxpayers of CA. It comes from a fund (Instructional Related Programs or IRP) that is paid into by each student as a part of their tuition.

  198. So I guess since Obama has never served in the military, but sends others off to fight wars he put us in, we can add “chicken-hawk” to his growing list of names that previously were only applied to one group.

Campaign season is going to be fun!

  199. Alphie,

As a general rule, my district is located in a conservative enclave, so I doubt they will be thrilled with a strike.

That being said, the debate has gone well beyond collective bargaining or even draconian cuts. Many people are outraged over the powers state government can now theoretically have over various locally elected bodies.

Its almost impossible to even be informed. Everyone is coming at this thing with so many different agendas, who knows.

    DTA.

Many in the elderly conservative base are livid over pension plans being taxed (even though they are in almost every other state).

It seems austerity measures bring out the inner Democrat in many people who hitherto talked a good conservative game.

Utopian Rabbit: I wish I lived in a world where I could do the right thing. I am willing to take a major pay cut if it will help my fellow citizens. In return, I wish my fellow citizens would use common sense and realize teaching their kids is worth a decent middle class life. And contrary to what many conservatives claim, there are many who believe 35 grand and no benefits is what teachers with a masters degree and a requirement to continually attend over priced grad schools should be paid.

This job is easy as hell, but its an art form. Most can’t do what I do.

No doubt about it, Snyder is running the state like a business. And thats a good thing. He just needs to remember we are also a democracy.

I think the thing that pisses me off the most is that the State can now take back surplus money. We essentially took a pay cut and put it into a fund for a rainy day. We are operating in the black, and the community respects us for that. Yet, that money now vanishes. Fiscal responsibility is being punished.

The other ting that irritates me is the amount of money being allocated to state universities that no middle class person can really afford.

    But who knows.

All I know is that the last half decade my wife and I have been constantly making hard choices. Its like every other month, we are “all in” in a big stakes poker game.

Welcome to real world, I suppose.

  200. As always, your humble and deceased Rabbit has a plan.

I’ve been reading and gaining inspiration lately from this guy:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Maurice_de_Talleyrand-P%C3%A9rigord

Talleyrand successfully survived working as a diplomat under both Louis XIV’s absolute monarchy and constitutional monarchy, the radical Jacobins, the bourgeois Directory, Napoleon, and King Louis Phillipe. Considering the realties of the bloody “National Razor” and the French Revolution as a whole, this is absolutely amazing.

So, I asked myself. What would Tallyrand do?

In our contract is something called a “Compensation Day”. A Comp Day is given to an employee who clearly works outside the contract for a day. Unlike a sick day or personal day, the Comp Day can be used at any point in the year without reason.

If I took a Comp Day on the Strike day, nobody would really know outside of administration. I then will lie to the union and tell them my kid is sick and I can’t strike. If the state came down with the punishment, they couldn’t touch me.

Only one problem. I don’t have a comp day because I’ve always been too lazy to fill out the paper work.

Goal: Acquire a Comp Day in the next 2 weeks.

  201. Paperwork. I hate paperwork. Just think how freeing life would be without paperwork. This digital age was supposed to eliminate most of that. Really, it added to it. But then we were all supposed to be on the metric system by now and cruising around in flying cars, eating pills for meals and had long ago defeated hunger and disease. Ahhh, the simple life…

  202. I said this at my place and felt compelled to ask it elsewhere, including here.
So I’ve been able to look deeper behind some of the nuance of this war. In doing so I’ve been inspired to share that stuff in my upcoming posts.
R2R=bad news for the world or benign internationalism?
Also after some soul wrenching I have to ask. Was genocide on the menu in Libya? Really!?

  203. Our funding doesn’t come from the taxpayers of CA. It comes from a fund (Instructional Related Programs or IRP) that is paid into by each student as a part of their tuition.

And unless you’re attending a private university, is financed in part by every tax paying citizen of the state of CA, your “fees” included.

    ——-

You may not claim yourself as expert, though you sure stroke your meat a lot when you talk about the U.N., as it the only thing that really seems to excite your senses (besides Israeli hating). But Rutherford claimed you the resident U.N. expert.

Maybe you work your way up to being their greeter…because with out the trust fund pedigree, you won’t be invited to the prostitution wing of the building, where your heroes and geniuses are up to the elbows in martinis about now.

The U.N. is corrupt as hell, and a detriment to anything resembling help. Utter, complete bullshit. It’s a sick joke made up mostly of thugs, thieves, and tyrants accepting bribes for special favor – a front group for thugs that gives voice to despots like Chavez and Mahmoud.

It is even more inept that the U.S. Congress led by Dimocrats. Give me a list of those raging successes again?

If the U.S. powers that be had any brains they’d give 4 hours notice they were razing the building and construct an East River Water park, or something like the Statue of LIberty, bent over, with her ass perched and cheeks spread towards the middle east.

We’d get more out of her.

  204. Poolman, just in case it isn’t announced on the Simpson’s. Taxes are due April 15th.

You’ll need to file paperwork for an extension.

  205. Rabbit, I”ve got a business proposal that I think will make us millions. We’re going to build all wood homes on the West Coast, and market them as “low radiation dosage” homes. 😉

See, take a look at this chart (which is quite interesting) showing what bullshit the media is spreading about radiation poisoning in Japan. A fricking state billions in debt, and it’s worried about mREMS of radiation poisoning.

If my memory is correct, no one at Chernobyl was ever proven to have acute radiation poisoning that wasn’t on site.

Start capitalizing on people’s stupidity, instead of trying to save them has become my new motto.

    http://xkcd.com/radiation/

  206. Poolman, just in case it isn’t announced on the Simpson’s. Taxes are due April 15th.

You’ll need to file paperwork for an extension.

GI, I appreciate your concern. I think this is the third or fourth time you’ve been helpful in this regard. Let me put your mind at ease, if that is possible.

I have a CPA that does all that for me. I have filed every year on time now for 13 years. I have had my CPA do it all for me for the past 6 of those years. I did not owe any taxes this year, but he filed all the necessary forms with the Fed and the state. Thanks for your concern. I’ll send some more pink carnations for your wife.

  207. Thanks for your concern. I’ll send some more pink carnations for your wife.

No need – just trying to help out a friend. The last one’s you sent after I did your daughters a favor were DOA…

Consider the savings part of my internet gift to you… 😉

  208. Wow. That chart blew my mind. I was just thinking that if Tokyo was really getting radiated to the dangerous degree its being portrayed that the world markets should be way lower.

This thing is indeed being painted as much more dangerous then it so far has been.

I fear radiation like I fear electricity and snakes, so I was buying into it hook line and sinker.

There was a report last night that radiation was a million times over normal levels, but the report was wrong.

Tex, black mold removal is the other fool proof scam. Spray it with bleach. Wear a fancy hazmat suit. Get rich.

  209. Tex is at his best when he shreds the UN. Even if you like the UN, how can you not respect that last rant. Classic.

  210. Was genocide on the menu in Libya? Really!?

More than one person on the tube has said that genocide has been an exaggerated potential in Libya. When you kill violent rebels (as opposed to peaceful demonstrators) it’s hardly genocide. Then again, saying you’re gonna go door to door killing people ain’t too pretty either.

  211. Alfie, I’ve been telling Rabbit to start his own blog for well over a year now. When he’s on a roll, he can string words together like no other.

Maybe while he’s striking with his fellow teachers, he’ll find the time to start a blog? 😉

  212. “And unless you’re attending a private university, is financed in part by every tax paying citizen of the state of CA, your “fees” included.”

Yes. The school gets funding from the state. But our MUN program is funded by IRP, which is a fund made up of the IRP fee students pay as part of fees and tuition.

Are you all caught up now?

“But Rutherford claimed you the resident U.N. expert.”

    Yeah, he did.

    And then you said this…

“Am I supposed to be impressed with someone that considers himself an “expert” of the useless, Jew hating U.N.?”

Are you all caught up now?

“where your heroes and geniuses are up to the elbows in martinis about now.”

You mean the Grand Hall? Yeah, I’ve been in there a couple times. I’ve stood at the big podium (only for a photo op) and sat in the crappy diplomat seats. Lots of history in that room. I’ll be going back there again in a few weeks. Might be getting a briefing by some OIC diplomats and a former US ambassador to the UN, too. Fun, nerdy stuff.

“If the U.S. powers that be had any brains they’d give 4 hours notice they were razing the building and construct an East River Water park”

The building or the property does not belong to the US government. It was given to the UN by Rockefeller.

Again, that isn’t “stroking my meat.” That is educating someone who insists on talking on a subject about which he knows jack shit. It gives me the same satisfaction as I assume you get when you teach us heathens all the about the myths in your book.

I’m gonna have to disagree with DR. I had to explain waaaaaay too much to you. Not your finest work, IMO.

  213. (On a side note…I sure could use HP’s wisdom with my thesis on the way terrorist groups attract and control their human resources. I miss that dude.) – Huck

I did my Masters around the application of COIN to CT. Premise Reality being that CT ops are a part of COIN, not vice versa…

  214. Lake Wales, Florida — A mayoral candidate in Lakes Wales is speaking out about his involvement with the Klan.

70-year-old John Paul Rogers wants to become the next mayor of Lake Wales, but critics say he could have a tough time bringing the town together because he’s a former member of Ku Klux Klan.

Rogers, who is currently a commissioner, spoke with 10 News Tuesday afternoon and says, “I’m not running for the Klan for Grand Dragon.” That’s because Rogers has already had that title.

He says, “Well I resigned years ago, about 30 years ago. Jesus said, ‘He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone,’ and so far no one’s hit me with a rock. I don’t know of any act of any violence that was sanctioned by our organization, either national or in Florida.”

But Darryl Paulson, a USF professor, who is an expert in the Klan, points to a case in which two Klansman with the United Klans of America were convicted of attacking 19-year-old Michael Donald in 1981 in Mobile, Alabama. Donald was beaten up and his throat was cut.

Paulson says, “They hung him from a tree and they were sued in court and the civil judgment was launched against the United Klans of America. The jury awarded a six million dollar settlement to the mother of the slain child.”

He adds, “When Rogers says he resigned. He had no other choice. The United Klans couldn’t pay off the six million dollar settlement but they lost their headquarters. Their headquarters was sold as part of the judgement so in essence they were forced out of business. They were financially bankrupt.”

Paulson says, “I think that they were the most violent of the Klan organizations. I think their fingerprints are on a lot of different things that happened — most of them negative with respect to racial incidents during the 1950′s and 1960′s. Rogers had to know there was no way he couldn’t know it.” . . .

Voters will make the final decision when they cast their votes in the non-partisan mayoral race on April 5. Though party affiliation is not a factor in the race Rogers and Carter are both Democrats.

  215. The building or the property does not belong to the US government. It was given to the UN by Rockefeller.

You’re kidding me? WOW!!! You are so cool and so with it. So magnificient. Gawd, I am blown away with that tidbit – right up there with MC Squared, Double Stranded DNA, and Milton Friedman’s take on economics. I think I knew that once upon a time – at about 13. 😈

Again, that isn’t “stroking my meat.” That is educating someone who insists on talking on a subject about which he knows jack shit. It gives me the same satisfaction as I assume you get when you teach us heathens all the about the myths in your book.

Except a lot more people believe in my book of myths including men like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan – the “myths” which provided the cornerstone of Western Civilization. I think you would find the book of myths the most popular book in print by a magnitude of about a hundred. In fact, the printing press was invented for the sole reason of mass distribution of the book of myths. But that’s not the topic at hand.

Let’s talk about the wholesomeness of your love, the Great Hall of Whores and its outstanding performance of the last 20 years.

Here’s what former Ambassador to the U.N., and a man that I safely assume might know a tad more about the Great Whore than the fledgling “expert” U.N. sycophant with his newly minted “masters” degree on the state dole….

The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations said Saturday that the world body is hobbled “by bad management, by sex and corruption” and a lack of confidence in its ability to carry out missions.

John Bolton also criticized the U.N.’s budget, noting that two-thirds of members pay only 20 percent of the cost.

“We find an organization that is deeply troubled by bad management, by sex and corruption and by a growing lack of confidence in its ability to carry out missions that are given to them.said John Bolton. Bolton, a longtime critic of the U.N., has been leading U.S. efforts to reform the United Nations after the oil-for-food scandal and sex scandals of charges of rape involving U.N. peacekeepers.

Bolton — who has a reputation for brilliance, obstinacy and speaking his mind — said in 1994 that it wouldn’t make a “bit of difference” if the United Nations lost the top 10 stories from its 39-story headquarters.

You still haven’t provided me the list of recent U.N. successes Dawg Huck. I need an “expert” take.

You’ll make the perfect rube in the New World Order of the deviants, whores and flakes. If you’re not already there, where your baby blue helmet next week. It’s the good look.

Here’s my suggestion, the one most “book of myths” followers agree with, by the way:

    http://www.cfif.org/htdocs/freedomline/un_monitor/guest_commentary/the_us_and_the_un.htm

  216. Rogers and Carter are both Democrats.

And …. ? G, this ain’t new news. Right around 1968 the Dems and GOPhers switched sides one deciding racism was the best way to get votes, the other not. So pointing to any life long Democrat over the age of 60 and telling me he was a racist is not Earth shattering.

  217. We find an organization that is deeply troubled … by sex

Damn, when can I sign up? I need to hurry up getting that request for an Ambassador appointment to Obama. 🙂

Tex, you’ve got to be kidding when you quote John Bolton. Making John Bolton a UN Ambassador was like making Attila the Hun a Walmart greeter. 😆

  218. Bolton was perfect as appointment. The fact you find him abhorrent comfirms that fact. 🙂 You are an incredibly useful measuring stick “R” – I’ll give you that. Anything you’re adamantly against, is always good for America.

Speaking of Bolton, I’d love to have him in some high level cabinet position when we gloriously frogmarch Obama to the curb – hopefully in hand cuffs. Bolton is both brilliant and blunt.

Bolton in a debate with President Epic Fail would be like Patrick Henry debating Whoopi Goldberg.

  219. Any of man’s institutions that wield authority and power over peoples and planet are rife with corruption. It is ignorance to not expect the same from the UN. The initial goals and intent may be pure, but few, if any, can maintain that integrity in their entirety.

It takes transparency of actions and continual policing by those with honest intent to keep such organizations from exploiting those that it was meant to protect. It’s the old adage of power and corruption.

It takes faith or foolishness to pledge full confidence in any that are not fully revealed. That goes for government or religion.

  220. It takes faith or foolishness to pledge full confidence in any that are not fully revealed. That goes for government or religion.

Not “pure” religion, and there is only one of those, of which I have sneaking suspicion few are able to keep to the tenets of the purity.

I have found throughout my life, the real measure of a person is what does he do with these: (1) money; (2) power, the latter even more influential than the former.

But otherwise, I would agree Poolman with the above statement. And the problems I have with the U.N. and its weaknesses are pretty well summarized by your statement, with the added fact that I think the U.N. has become and end run of attempting to interfere with the sovereignty of a free country(ies).

  221. Interesting watch if you have 28 minutes….no subscription required now.

    http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&mpid=174&load=5147

It is so obvious to me anymore that Muhammad took both the Old and New Testament, the parts he thought he understood, and loosely copied the both Old and New Testament history, philosophy and prophecy, changing the names and places to put himself in position of prophet and messenger….

In many ways, Muhammad could loosely be compared to the first real anti-Christ.

  222. “I think I knew that once upon a time – at about 13.”

And yet you still made a fucking dumbass comment that suggested you didn’t.

“Except a lot more people believe in my book of myths…”

Oh boy. That must make it true…

A lot of people used to believe the earth was the center of the universe, too.

“the “myths” which provided the cornerstone of Western Civilization”

Democracy was around before your self-proclaimed man-god came along.

“You still haven’t provided me the list of recent U.N. successes Dawg Huck. I need an “expert” take.”

The UN is never going to have successes. Because the UN seeks peace. And peace is contrary to man’s nature. Violence and conflict are lodged deep inside us. Its a part of our animal makeup that we never lost (not that I would expect you to believe that).

But that doesn’t mean we don’t try. Trying to make a world of peace is part of what separates us from the animals.

“You’ll make the perfect rube in the New World Order of the deviants, whores and flakes. If you’re not already there, where your baby blue helmet next week. It’s the good look.”

I have already said in the past that I don’t agree with the concept of UN peacekeepers or peacekeeping missions.

“…with the added fact that I think the U.N. has become and end run of attempting to interfere with the sovereignty of a free country(ies).”

And I have already told you and shown you in the Charter that the idea of sovereignty is the cornerstone of the UN. Just as I said they tend to have some issues in keeping with their original goals, and need reform.

Tex, I don’t know what your problem is lately, but if you are going to trade blows with me you need to get your head in the game. I am getting tired of having to remind you of what has been said and drawing explanations in crayons for you.

“I did my Masters around the application of COIN to CT. Premise Reality being that CT ops are a part of COIN, not vice versa…”

I’ll bet that is some fascinating reading.

  223. Huck, your last comment is so full of holes, I snickered. You’re the benefactor of Christianity, but too misinformed and too hostile to know it, or at the very least admit it. Oh well, no skin off my derriere, even in your ingratitude is noted. A few observations?

But that doesn’t mean we don’t try. Trying to make a world of peace is part of what separates us from the animals.

Actually, it doesn’t separate us from the animals. I can show you some animal domains far more peaceful than man. Peace has never existed since the fall – it’s a pipe dream of academic thought and an arrogance of people like you believing man is sovereign. So tell me Huck, who has been more effective at “establishing and keeping the peace?” The U.S. or the U.N.? Think hard before you answer.

Democracy was around before your self-proclaimed man-god came along.

Really? Let’s put your real knowledge to the test. Where exactly would that Democracy be? And if you tell me Greece, I’m going to laugh at you, because Athens was 75% slave, was a conqueror nation, and globally imperialistic it was so democratic. Plato was not Greece – Alexander was. Give me Mesopotamia or Sumeria as example, and I’ll happily prove you wrong once again. This time, your fluff learned from lefty school won’t apply to real fact.

By the way, my “god man” was around from the beginning. You still don’t get that, do you? Try Genesis 1, Elohim being plural. 😉 or the First Chapter of the Gospel John, if and when interested.

And I have already told you and shown you in the Charter that the idea of sovereignty is the cornerstone of the UN. Just as I said they tend to have some issues in keeping with their original goals, and need reform.

You need to learn the axiom of actions speak louder than words…did they teach you that in school? How about the road to hell is paved with good intentions? Or don’t believe everything you read in a textbook? Academics isn’t as pure as you’ve been led to believe.

See Huck, here’s a couple of truths you can’t get your liberal, pointy, irreligious head around. Not surprising from a man one missed beat from eternity walking around with a damaged heart muscle. That absolute height of stupidity, thinking you’re schooling is the highest virtue? Foolish, friend.

See Huck, Christ changed the world so much for the better, split time, started a movement that changed the world, so much so His executioners 350 years later became is servants. Now that it is a historical set of facts even you can’t deny, even if you do deny as His deity. Far greater and more powerful men than you have scoffed and tried to disprove, only to turn to ashes as the world kept on spinning.

Your insults are no threat to me, as I am more than confident in what will be than I am in your capability.

  224. Not “pure” religion, and there is only one of those, of which I have sneaking suspicion few are able to keep to the tenets of the purity.

Pureness of heart, pureness of spirit, pureness of intent…

Violence and conflict are lodged deep inside us. Its a part of our animal makeup that we never lost

    It’s a constant fight. Good vs evil. A spiritual battle. A conscience…

Work me Lord, work me Lord.
    Please don’t you leave me,
I feel so useless down here
    With no one to love
    Though I’ve looked everywhere
And I can’t find me anybody to love,
    To feel my care.

So ah work me Lord, whoa use me Lord,
Don’t you know how hard it is
    Trying to live all alone.
Every day I keep trying to move forward,
But something is driving me, oh, back,
Honey, something’s trying to hold on to me,
    To my way of life.

  225. And if you tell me Greece, I’m going to laugh at you, because Athens was 75% slave

You can’t be serious. So America was not a Democracy before 1865? Or does the number of slaves make a difference in your book?

Also, you referred to Huck as “liberal”. You have lost your mind today haven’t you? Have you read the majority of Huck’s comments on this board?

Here’s something to ponder Tex. Huck has expressed a good deal of frustration with acadamia but unlike you, he doesn’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. Sadly, under the influence of Sarah Palin and Rick Santorum you now embrace ignorance as an intellectual strategy, You not only deny climate change but up the ante and even deny the dangers of nuclear power station meltdowns.

I know you love to go off the deep end when you argue, but calling Huck liberal is offensive to both Huck and liberals. 🙂

  226. You can’t be seriious. So America was not a Democracy before 1865? Or does the number of slaves make a difference in your book?

I believe it was Benjamin Franklin who called us “A Republic” – did he not? Too bad you can’t ask your slave ancestors if they thought America a Democracy in 1865…

Huck is an irreligious atheist like you, with both traits of liberalism and Libertarian – except Libertarians find the U.N. a den of thieves like me, and not some seeker of world peace like Huck would like us to believe. Therefore, I consider Huck a fiscally conservative liberal – about like Jim Dougan, maybe toward the middle on a few issues like military.

It’s your influence under George Soros, Karl Marx,Markos Zuniga, Arriana Huffington, your godless grandmother who died a complete fool, and Bill Ayers that has blinded you to the ills of liberalism, academia and Obama.

Any time you would like to have a real debate off your board and you’re available where you can answer questions immediately without assistance, we can put your hubris to the test. I’m game. Because Rutherford, I hate to tell you this. But from a scientific knowledge base, you are the most educated moron I’ve ever had conversation with – I mean unbelievably fucking stupid and naive. Completely clueless and a buffoon – like a child’s mind.

There is no meltdown dumb ass. You don’t even have a clue to what that word means. 😈

  227. By the way Dummy Rutherford – you missed my point to Huck. Greece was not America, nor was it a democracy. Greece was a conqueror of the world and hardly synonymous with modern day America. Calling Greece a democracy is like calling Rome a democracy.

You going to call The Roman Empire a democracy because they had a Senate goober?

  228. Tex is on shaky ground. Things are beginning to tremble.

A little Hebrews chapter 12, from that book of fables…

His voice that time shook the earth to its foundations; this time – he’s told us this quite plainly – he’ll also rock the heavens: “One last shaking, from top to bottom, stem to stern.” The phrase “one last shaking” means a thorough housecleaning, getting rid of all the historical and religious junk so that the unshakable essentials stand clear and uncluttered. Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire!

  229. Hey Rutherford, you better off yourself while you’ve got the chance before it gets to CT. They’ve found radiation in the Massachusetts rainwater. OMG! Do you have the hemlock ready? 😈

Lesson #1 Rutherford; it’s called scientific notation where zeroes count – unlike Obama’s budgetary process. Let me ease your mind.

When we are talking parts per billion vs. parts per million, you’re now receiving thousands of times more radiation in your drinking water than you were yesterday. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO. ARRRRRRRRHGHGHGHHGHGH!

Problem is, it would take thousands of times more radiation with you drinking the bathtub on the hour to equate to the danger you’ll receive in your next chest X-ray.

See how science works and how easily it is to scare weak bohunks like you?

There’s your climate change – the only hypothesis that no matter the result, can never be disproved. 🙄 What a joke….

  230. The only ground that is going to shake Wizard, is that below your knees, when you hear the words: Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting…for my sake, I hope it’s some Jew that brings the scimitar this time.

Only problem is unlike Belshazzar who could at least read, you won’t notice the hand writing on the wall and will still be yuck yucking when the men run under the bridge to slay you. 😉

And underneath his picture: Does this Ass Make My Car Look Big?

    😆 😆

  232. See how science works and how easily it is to scare weak bohunks like you?

Radiation is accumulative. Trace quantities won’t hurt you. But saying ingesting small amounts doesn’t hurt as much as an x-ray is untrue.

For example, when you get an x-ray, an external emitter is turned on for an instant, and then switched back off.

But internal emitters steadily and continuously emit radiation for as long as the particle remains radioactive, or until the person dies – whichever occurs first. As such, they are much more dangerous.

I’ve never seen such an accumulation of dupes. Next we know, Three Mile Island will be a hazard too.

  234. Haw Haw Haw! Rutherford, your fearless leader is so pitiful. Is reality starting to penetrate? Why, I think O’Bombthem has had a change of heart since he took the wheel. O’Bombthem almost hinted at America’s “exceptionalism” tonight. 😆

I think he’s is shellshocked “R” – he got in the White House and had no idea how the world really works. Obambthem sounds more like George Bush by the day, while still attempting to maintain his socialist streak. He doesn’t have a clue which way to turn.

    Obama the Neo-Conservative. 😈

  235. I have no clue why radiation kills. My ignorance breeds irrationality. And my irrationality has been preyed upon by the news.

I do have brief moments when I question things.

For instance, when the news dramatically announced the nuclear reaction was some where between 3 Mile Island and Chernoble (sic).

What the hell does that even mean?

That being said, please make room for Rabbit in the shallow end of the panic pool.

I often kill gardner snakes as I scream like a high pitched bitch. And I’m afraid of this radiation stuff in the same way, scientific facts be damned. If I was in Toyko, I’d be getting the fuck out of dodge.

  236. I often kill gardner snakes as I scream like a high pitched bitch. And I’m afraid of this radiation stuff in the same way, scientific facts be damned.

    😆 😆 Too good.

Rabbit, in the unscientific spectrum of discussion, radiation can actually kill in a number of ways, as there are different types of radiation. Poolman was right about one thing – ingestion would probably be the worst case, because your body can’t flush the radioactive byproduct quickly through the kidneys.

But the kind of radiation we “fear” is this explanation in biological terms. The decay (radiation) of radioactive atoms can actually change cells at the DNA level, leading to proliferation of the cells (oncogenesis) by causing amongst other things, the disruption of the cell cycle; or it can create a failure of organelles killing the cells and stopping replication.

The disruption of the cell cycle can leads to cancer.

However, refer back to the chart you and I were referring to yesterday. You’ll note every second, you’re body is accumulating the background radiation from the universe.

What killed most people at Chernobyl was 6,000 cases of thyroid cancer, mostly the young, caused by iodide-131, a radioactive byproduct of uranium 235 decay. Ironically I-131 is used to treat thyroid cancer.

The thyroid is the only organ in the body that utilizes iodine, explaining why the biggest concern in Japan is the byproduct – not the uranium itself. My daughter explained to me what they are doing as prevention, and I understand it is only a theory.

The thought is if they saturate the cell receptors of the thyroid cells with simple iodine (non-radioactive), the idea is that it will minimize the uptake of iodide 131 into the cell. Pretty interesting stuff – nice to have an incredibly bright kid.

  237. You can learn all the techie stuff you want, but basically, there is a natural rthym in lifeforms. Every atom in each of our various cells has a consistent rthym, almost like a mini solar system in constant motion, it has balance and order. Radiation throws off that order. Through excessive or continual exposure, cells go beserk and breakdown on a molecular level and all order is lost. That’s why it’s wise to avoid it, though tough to accomplish in our technological world.

The bad thing (one of them) about the Japan incident is those folks eat a lot of fish and fish are gonna be radioactive for quite sometime. It all sequesters in the water.

Garter snakes are good, maaaan. Poor little snakes. The only ones I ever killed were rattlers, oh, and accidently a bullsnake. I thought he was a rattlesnake. 😳

  238. I caught bits of the Obama Libya speech on MSNBC’s Ed Show. Of course Ed is a pro Obama pundit, but it looked good and presidential to me. It sounded all CIC-like.

  239. Berserk, not beserk. 😉

That’s okay. I just read my last post and noticed I pulled an even bigger boner: “can leads to cancer.” I’ve often wondered when people pull in and read these things if they laugh out loud at some of my typos.

I think that was supposed to be can and does lead to cancer… 😳

  240. Peace has never existed since the fall – it’s a pipe dream of academic thought and an arrogance of people like you believing man is sovereign.

Tex, this one loses me also. Are you saying it is willful for man to strive to be good? Are you saying that a man thinking he can control his own behavior and do good toward others is somehow putting himself above God? I’d love for you to elaborate on this one.

  241. I’m saying it is an arrogance for man to think he can bring peace to the world through his own good works. History has proven this time, and time, and time again.

It is equally foolish to place our sovereignty in the hands of a corrupt organization like the U.N. and I still have not had my question answered by you or Huck on exactly how the U.S. has benefited from our participation in the U.N., and paying 22% of the bill to provide a forum for the likes of Hugo Chavez, Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, and Moammar Quaddafi.

No, I am not saying to good toward others is putting oneself above God, because that is what God (Jesus) instructed us to do.

  242. Tex, I know there hasn’t been a meltdown at the reactors in Japan, Professor. My point is that you’ve been taking a position of “nothing to see here” regarding the dangers presented by the Japanese nuclear problems and I find that right on par with “I know for a fact climate change is a scam”. It’s a neanderthal approach to science.

BTW, I know you totally disrespect Bill Maher but last Friday night he listed study after study that debunked the supposed climate change scandal in England a couple of years ago.

I’ll be the first to agree that a theory is a theory and we shouldn’t cite them as fact … but we shouldn’t ignore them either, particularly when ignoring them could spell our demise.

P.S. Lay off Grandmother … here’s a fact Buster … If God exists and is so hung up on being recognized that he rejected one of the most dignified hard working women that ever lived, then it’s His loss. I assure you, if there’s an afterlife, my grandmother is having a grand old time up there and she’s avoiding sanctimonious church-goers up there the same way she did down here. 😐

  246. And as far as science, Bill Maher is part of your problem – a leader of collective stupidity. He’s as ignorant at science and anything else of real importance as you and Rachel Maddow are.

I have not minimized the Fukushima nuclear plant disaster. It could get very ugly. I told you the facts of Three Mile Island and proved beyond a shadow of doubt with real science that not one lasting bit of damage occurred, no one died, and the rods literally fell to the floor there which melted only 5/8″ into the graphite floor. That is exactly how it was supposed to work.

Chernobyl was a disaster – but not anywhere near what was publicized. They said it would be a dead zone for a thousand years – now they are calling for tourists. Chernobyl had few safeguards, including the containment like the Fukushima plant has. I guarantee you didn’t know that until this minute. And Chernobyl was the worst case scenario.

Like I said, for a math major, scientific notation doesn’t seem to be your bag. That the radiation level is 100,000 higher than normal is a meaningless statistic without knowing what dangerous levels are. Take and X-ray, and your radiation levels will be millions of times higher than normal. 😉

Finally climate change….I’m laughing and pointing fingers at you. Perhaps you clowns should worry about the earth spinning off into space or the sun exploding too. And the reason I’m giving you such jive is idiots like you are killing this country with your conspiracy ideas concerning energy policies. That idiot you love as President is partially responsible for gas being $3.50 a gallon this minute because he killed off-shore drilling. So Cuba laughed at him and drills in the same waters. They’re not going to give a shit if a tarball rolls up on an American beach.

I’m tired of debating and now will give you the fight you deserve. The talking is over.

We’re partially indebted concerning energy because 35 years ago and some really bone headede science, a bunch of filthy hippies and your ancestrial ilk of leftist thugs and deviants killed the nuclear industry, endangering our country and beholding us to the radical Islamists and their twisted existence.

  247. And …. ? G, this ain’t new news. Right around 1968 the Dems and GOPhers switched sides one deciding racism was the best way to get votes, the other not. So pointing to any life long Democrat over the age of 60 and telling me he was a racist is not Earth shattering.” – R

Bull Fucking Shit and you know it. See, you delude yourself with fabricated BS like this to justify, in your mind, why it is OK to like Dems when at the root of every single racial complaint you’ve ever had has been a Dem.

    Every. Single. One.

At some point, you’ll have to come to the cold hard reality that Dems gives two shits about you as a black man. Your a pawn. A lackey who can be depended on to always pull the blue lever because you know that’s your place in the system.

Liberals are the racists. Don’t believe me? Where’s your favorite liberal bitch who has gone on and on about how Conservatives should watch out because the Hispanic vote will vote for Dems over securing the border.

Conservatives=== Doing the right thing, secure the border.

Liberals=== Doing the wrong thing by not securing the border so they can pander to a racial group on votes.

Frankly, I’m sick and tired of the fabricated bull shit from you on the big bad boogie man of racism, when it has been this President and your politcal party that consistently engages in racist and racial policies.

You think Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud of where black people are today? You think he would approve of the black politicians and the Dem party in general? As a black man, you are woefully ignorant of where your icons stood and why they stood there…

  248. Poolman, the money quote from that “America” article:

You hate the fags in their little Speedos, demanding the right to wed just so they can mock your third marriage.

    ROTFLMAO!!!! 😆 😆 😆

  249. You’ll be joining grandma in an eternity of pure hell, whether you believe that or not.

You’ve lost your mind. Take a rest. Watch some TV. Go for a walk. You’re better than this.

  250. Perhaps you clowns should worry about the earth spinning off into space or the sun exploding too.

Now I’m really lost. This coming from someone who believes in the end of times? Let’s talk real science for a minute. Don’t all stars eventually extinguish? Isn’t the sun a star? Now, do I expect the sun to burn out in my lifetime, or even my great great grandson’s lifetime? No. But science does say that will happen one day. Or do I have my science wrong?

  251. I’ll address G’s comments later … I gotta go to a biz lunch down the street.

But I do have one question … is there something in the air today? Damn, folks are remarkably in attack mode today. Makes me think some of that radiation from Japan has floated over here. 😉

  252. It’s amazing how blind you really are Rutherford to so many things. My favorite (the absolute most head shaking) is I see no evidence. And I think, are you blind as well as deaf? And it saddens me. Really, it does – just like it did with Jim Dougan. I find you both likable guys, but completely lost, completely foolish in about everything that isn’t innate.

Buddy, I’m not going to lie to you. I’m going to tell you the truth of what I believe and the consequences. Sorry that makes you really uncomfortable. I would think you do understand this, but you’re too afraid, too uncomfortable to go there.

If you believe Jesus Christ and what He has said like I do, your grandmother is in the ultimate jam, and so will you be. Christ did not talk more of hell than of heaven just for grins. That was a warning and it was intended to stroke fear. Now I know that that weak men like Poolman will come around with some fluff and complaint about hellfire and brimstone, but you as educated man should understand, your being pacified by wisdom like the first few paragraphs of post #295. You going to put your faith in that?

These conversations, further confirm for me just how really overrated these Ivy League institutions are – that outside of the hard sciences, it is total hyped reputation with an incredibly huge endowment. I learned this lesson with my daughters. The one that went the route of an excellent public institution has received a far better and challenging education than the far more expensive private institution.

I’ve debated several of you “best and brightest” types over the years with your academic credential, and yet to find one that has any depth of perception or wisdom.

P.S. – FOX News has Damascus spelled wrong on the tube. 🙂 The oldest city on earth…

  253. When King George VI gave his Sept. 3, 1939, war message to the people of the British Empire, it was a time of great moment. It was a “grave hour,” he began, “perhaps the most fateful in our history.” The king said that “for the second time in the lives of most of us, we are at war.” That, however, was back when war was war. Now it is just kinetic military activity.

The king’s speech, so recently dramatized in an Oscar-winning film starring Colin Firth, was significant because though George VI suffered a speech impediment, his message was of the highest importance. President Obama, by contrast, has always been given ludicrously high marks for his abilities as an orator but seldom has anything substantive to say.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/mar/28/the-presidents-speech/#

  254. Christ did not talk more of hell than of heaven just for grins.

That is a common misconception. Most people that believe that merely heard it and haven’t checked it out. The actual words attributed to Jesus appear in the four Gospels, Acts, and Revelation. If you are just looking for the word “heaven” and the word “hell”, then heaven far outnumbers hell in usage. Of course, Jesus appeared and spoke numerous times in the OT, He just wasn’t referred to as Jesus then.

Plenty don’t know there is a difference between Heaven and Paradise, the kingdom of heaven on earth and the kingdom of darkness on earth, the grave and Hades. A greater understanding of these is revealed in the parables, which are like riddles that various people have attributed different interpretations over time.

The greatest message of the Gospels and the NT is love. Of course it isn’t all rosey like our modern definition of love. Love requires sacrifice. Jesus said “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” Then he did. 😀

  255. Rutherford,

Told you so. Again, I give you post @295 as evidence of a real flake. 😉 And that pretty much summarizes the theological capabilities as well.

You can sit in a pew just as easily as the couch and make it there too…just saying.

  256. GI, I have “techie” data to support everything I said in 295. Do you dispute it, or is it just too simplistic an explanation for your tastes?

I know your enablers have told you radiation is normal and safe. I bet you even believe as Ann Coulter claimed that it is good for you. The evidence and facts dispute that. Though I’m sure your buds in the energy business can tweak data to distort that information, and truly there is enough money out there that doesn’t want the truth revealed. Bad for business, yanno.

It is always the same, though. You would rather attack the messenger than debate the message. It is probably liberal tree hugger or Muslim moon god science as opposed to your footsie friends’ flavor.

  257. Yeah Flake,

Send the technical aspects on. Especially this profundity Einstein…

Every atom in each of our various cells has a consistent rthym, almost like a mini solar system in constant motion, it has balance and order. Radiation throws off that order.

That part sounded incredibly high tech and sophisticated. Kind of like elephant art work. Give a paint brush to a chimp and you’ll get a picture alright.

Your comedy gold Poolman. I don’t need to ask why you’re life is so f*cked up – every post rings with the reasons.. I can well imagine what the homestead is like. 😆

But by all means, let me see the tech specs of your message…this ought to be good.

  258. Poolman, 😆 You’re so predictable and easy to bait.

Um Poolman, do you have any idea what target audience this was intended? Wait, I’m going to go get some Dr. Suess stuff to explain Zoology and Anatomy to Rutherford’s blog.

Here’s a heads up Poolman. You know the famous atomic symbol, even contained in your posts? Well, I know this is going to challenge you, but electrons really don’t orbit around the nucleus like planets around the sun. 🙂 Really!

At least now I know who creates your posts. What a marvelous rube.

  259. GI, 😆 You’re so baitlike and easy to predict.

Let’s see your Dr Suess and see how it compares to Dr Seuss.

  260. Poolman, I’m envious of guys like you in a round about way. I think I could actually be a much better person if I could be like you in this sense.

You’re so clueless, so dumb, that you don’t even know when people are laughing at you. I think that’s actually a nice quality to have I wish I could be like that.

Continually sit in the corner with a dunce cap on with the class pointing fingers at you, and being so helpless, you actually enjoy the attention and smile back. It’s like debating with the Walmart smiley face logo.

There were a few like you that I attended elementary school with, but they soon fell out of site. And I figured their parents had moved them into some disability ward of special education for the remainder of their formative days. Now I know what happened to them. 🙂

  261. Tex I think Narcissism would have won in the bracket of just about every President. You don’t get to the Oval without a bit of self-obsession unless you’re an accidental Pres like Gerald Ford.

  262. I can picture Tex now in elementary school telling the six year old girl next to him that she’s a feminist shrew

No, that didn’t happen until Jr. High, when I learned more about female anatomy and liked it. 😉 Girls always secretly admire the bad boys, something I learned much too late.

The lithium atom you see pictured Rutherford that most are familiar provides a rough approximation of a point in time of an atomic structure. But it is not accurate.

Think of an atom more resembling the electrons looking like a cloud gathered around the nucleus in a volume of space. In fact, we can’t even completely estimate where the electrons will reside with certainty. What we do with certainty is the mass of the atom and is how they react with respect to their valence electrons…

Don’t know if that helps. I’ll see if I can find a more accurate picture.

  263. “Tex I think Narcissism would have won in the bracket of just about every President. You don’t get to the Oval without a bit of self-obsession unless you’re an accidental Pres like Gerald Ford.”

Yeah, we get it, Rutherford. Everything that you guys used to insult Bush with is now just a part of the job.

Vacations. Golf. Narcissism. It’s all good now.

You folks get real understanding when there is a (D) behind someone’s name.

  264. Hey Rutherford. Since our newly minted NeoCon for President said “I could not turn a blind eye to innocent citizens…” (hrmph hrmph), wouldn’t have been easier to administer stopping the killings on our south border?

    Just a thought.

  265. Yeah Tex. I thought about our southern border when Obama was crying about how all those Libyans crossing the border into Tunisia and Egypt are making it more difficult for those countries.

That guy is almost as dumb as you are Al-Poolman. I can see why you’d like him. 😉

Remember, April 15th freeloader. Even the wards of the state have to to file.

  270. An Arizona Department of Safety Officer pulled over pick-up truck owner for a faulty tailllight. When the officer approached the driver, the man behind the wheel handed the officer his drivers license, insurance card and concealed carry permit.

The officer took all the documents, looked them over and said. “Mr. Smith, I see you have a CCP. Do you have any weapons with you?”

The driver replied, ” Yes sir, I have a 357 handgun in a hip holster, a .45 in the glove box and a .22 derringer in my boot.”

The officer looked at the driver and asked, “Anything else?”

“Yes sir, I have a Mossberg 500 12 guage and an AR-15 in the trunk.”

The officer asked if the man was driving to or from a shooting range and the man said he wasn’t, so the officer bent over and looked into the driver’s face and said “Mr. Smith, you’re are carrying quite a few guns. May I ask what you are afraid of?

Mr. Smith locked eyes with the officer and calmly answered, “Not a dang thing!”

  271. Ah Dr. Doolittle,

    That’s amazing, GI! I haven’t seen too many pick-up’s with a trunk. 😆

Since the joke was received as an email and plastered verbatim, I didn’t really study it for its accuracy in description. And since I guess you probably don’t get out much with the IRS chasing you, the Mrs. bad back from gross excess adipose preventing anything but the trips your preacher healer 🙄 deemed by the Holy Spirit 😈 “Praise the Lawd” , the funds running low, and now recognizing even the concept of a joke beyond you – understanding a bed cover for a pickup probably would be beyond you.

So, here’s the deal Wizard. After evaluation this morning, and being that I know you’re perhaps only half lucid with no apparent purpose, I am officially ending our relationship today Bucky. I haven’t found one edifying thing in you personally, you’re too stupid to be of use any longer unless providing your science parodies providing much need humor; and being if you haven’t noticed that I’m the only one here that doesn’t completely ignore you which is my mistake. So upon further review of measuring the pros and cons of pondering why do I bother communicating with this absolute reject called Poolman, I have decided to officially put you on ignore. 😉

  272. Gorilla, I heard that last night. If anyone believes the Dimocratic party is anything but rank partisan grandstanding and reactionary rejects, I think that comment put it the argument to rest. It was certainly no surprise to any of us.

I like what Roger Simon had to say about Schumer’s comments:

The Chuck Schumer revealed in the conversation between Democratic senators Tuesday accidentally overheard by reporters is not a stupid man, but a selfish man. He is selfish in a traditional political manner, only interested in power and the success of his party.

That’s not surprising. But given the current economic situation of our country, indeed of the world, it seems particularly reactionary and willfully blind. The most important thing, as the New York Senator told his collegues, is that John Boehner be kept “in a box” on spending cuts, trapped between the Democrats and the putatively extremist Tea Party.

But what about the substance of the US economy? No word on that between Dem senators. Why? Probably because the liberal side has nothing to say. Keynesian theory has broken down and virtually every projection shows us headed for economic catastrophe, but Schumer chooses to ignore that. For him the Tea Party is the “messenger who brings the bad news,” a prop to be used. In reality, Schumer, not Boehner, is “in a box”. Let’s hope Boehner and other Republican leaders realize that.

  273. “Extreme” cuts my ass. After racking up a couple trillion dollar deficit, the mindset of the left is galling. Real “extreme,” huh?

Dimocrats = the Party of “spend.”

  274. Tiger, “extreme” is the word of the week.

“I always use the word extreme,” Mr. Schumer said. “That is what the caucus instructed me to use this week.

“We are urging Mr. Boehner to abandon the extreme right wing,” said Ms. Boxer”

“Mr. Carper continued with the theme, referring to some House Republicans’ “right-wing extremist friends.”

Mr. Cardin decried Mr. Boehner’s giving into “extremes of his party.”

Mr. Blumenthal closed by speaking of the “relatively small extreme group of ideologues” who are “an anchor” dragging down the budget negotiation process.

  275. Of course, had the democratic party caucus instructed House dems to make a budget—as opposed to instructing them to NOT make a budget—when they were supposed to, then none of this would even be an issue. Congress would be able to concentrate its efforts on other issues of importance.

Instead, 2011 republicans are forced to do the work of the 2010 democrats.

Democrats had their chance to write this budget. They balked. Now shut the fuck up and let others do their….errr your job.

  276. Rutherford. When ObamaCare was supposedly being “negotiated,” you insisted (inaccurately so) that the GOP had never offered any plans of their own, but were, instead, only harping on the various democrat plans.

So where are the actual democrat plans to cut spending? We keep hearing phantom numbers float around, but where’s the beef?

What are the specific democratic party plans to cut spending?

  277. Man, is Obama lying about energy production, more specifically about drilling permitting – Obama now taking credit for things in place before he even hit the scene. This man is so disingenuous, it is physically revolting. ** BARF ** Liberal Dimocrats have no shame.

    —-

On a more important note, any of you fine chaps or Rutherford 🙂 own a Kindle? If so, are you happy with it? Mom’s birthday has arrived….

  278. Wish Gorilla came along more frequently anymore.

Gorilla, if you happen to appear, what’s your opinion on “arming” these rebels?

  279. It’s always a good thing when the playground bully decides to ignore you. Frankly it was hard to keep from stooping to the same level. Upon review it seems I was indeed mimicking similar inane tactics. Damn goatheads, anyway.

But it’s a new day. The sun is up and the air is still somewhat free in this place we call America. I see the political circus is keeping the denison adequately amused and occupied.

Gorilla, enjoyed the military aid video. We can be mighty helpful when our handlers give us a chance. I’m praying for all our men and women in uniform. Ours are definitely the best of the best. I wish our leaders would treat them like gold.

I’m heading out now to weed the yard while it’s still day. It’s a constant battle, but a stress-free one. One day, a weed-free world! Hallelujah! 😉

  280. To all the Schumer non-controversy I have two words:

    Frank Luntz

You guys are such a bunch of babies, it’s not to be believed. Your boys speak in handed-down talking points all the time (a recent one … “Obama punted”). Chuck just got caught admitting to what everyone does. It’s politics.

And to whomever it was asking me to defend Harry Reid (was it you Tigre?) I’m not going to. I am soon coming to the conclusion that all politicians are only slightly better than useless. One of the folks I really admired, Claire McCaskill is now embroiled in scandal. Makes me about to give up on the whole lot of them.

What that does for my future as a political blogger is anyone’s guess. Maybe I’ll switch to TV/Music reviews. 😦

P.S. Actually I didn’t start as a political blogger. I started as a social commentary blogger … probably because I knew deep down politics was a sham.

  281. Poolman, I can’t speak for how many people Tex “represents” on this board but I can speak for myself and I don’t ignore your posts. I don’t agree with everything you say, but you never cease to entertain and I think your major liability in this environment is that you have one of the most open minds here. One could argue too open, but I can deal with that. 🙂

  282. When it comes to arming the Libyan rebels … didn’t we go down that road in Afghanistan in the days of the Mujahideen cos we hated the Soviets? See what that got us on September 11, 2001.

  283. Claire McCaskill is a lame liar and has been busted for finally getting caught. She’s been lying for the better part of four years now. Didn’t matter – she was another Dim that was going to get trounced in 2012 Senate race.

Good riddance to the Wicked Witch of the East.

Rutherford, like you Kindle? Didn’t you say you had one?

  284. Sorry Tex I forgot to answer your Kindle question.

I use the Kindle app on the iPhone but my wife borrowed a kindle from the local library and she quite liked it. If your wife (or did you say your Mom?) loves to read she should enjoy the kindle. Once we can afford one, we’ll be buying one.

  285. “And to whomever it was asking me to defend Harry Reid (was it you Tigre?) I’m not going to.”

Nope. But now I double-dog dare you. Reid is bat shit crazy. Eh, take your time. . . you got your hands full trying to defend Poolman. Good luck with that!

If only you’d read and remember my comments. 🙄

  286. Tex, I own the Nook. I love it. I never used the Kindle outside of toying with it in the store. I find the Nook to be much more intuitive. I love the thing.

  287. Rutherford, if it weren’t for your indefensible ranting after Giffords’ shoting, I’d feel a little bit of pity for you having to address the tsunami-like hypocrisy that makes you dimocrats such fools.

Why it seems like yesterday I had to deal with the enraptured liberals’ chest-poking and prosthelytizing having selected their next false prophet. . . 😆

  288. Rabbit, the nook is the Barnes and Nobel version?

I swear, I am so dumb with technology anymore. I rebelled about eight years ago when I left work after an adult history of early adapter, and after making a living do it. And I have almost reverted back to pocket pads and slide rules (except for my Netflix and TV).

My cell phone is about circa 2002, and you can’t even make out what a picture is on the screen. It suffices, but my children make fun of it and call me a fuddy duddy and Elvis.

I still haven’t figured out why Twitter is popular, hate Facebook, think text message sucks when I can dial a number, and find these Linked-in professional services are a crock.

I can’t tell you how superficial and anti-social I find the world anymore, have become so cynical of a majority of professional elite and the ruling class I now look down my nose at them, like blue collar people generally better than white collar people, and am far more tempted to become a farmer with a mule than I am a techno geek anymore.

    I’m probably losing it. 🙂

  289. Have a mentioned I really like John Bolton? I think that man is great, honest and brilliant. Give me a smart straight shooter with a big set of balls, over these flashy POS politicians any day.

  290. Well, here comes the boots on the grown. I hope Obama’s “covert” troops (how anything “covert” is on the evening news within hours is beyond me) in the “Kinetic Military Action” are going after the “Man Made Disaster Doers” in the rebel held territories.

Half a billion dollars already spent.

    These Libyans better be thankful.

  291. These Libyans better be thankful.

Well, hell no they won’t be. Five years from now, the bastards will probably be screaming Allahu Akbar, while firing rockets into American streets. And about a third of America will be asking “Why Do They Hate Us? What did we Do to make them Hate Us?”

That happens again, like it did after 9/11, I’m going to have to practice great personal restraint to not waste some of the ……. myself.

  292. Man, I don’t get Facebook either. The last thing I want is my different sets of friends becoming aware of one another. Talk about 3 or 4 worlds brutally colliding.

Secondly, I’ve been actively purging friends for years. My circle of friends is at the very least closed, at the worst, still too big.

There are many closed chapters in the Rabbit’s life. I’d like to keep that way.

The last thing I want is some reunion of associates from back in my lost years.

I can see it now. My Facebook “wall” would consist of mundane pleasantries from Tea Party members, motor cycle gangsters, union teachers, prison guards, ex-cons, Catholics, meat head softball players, pony gamblers, my Mom, beer brewers, Nor-Cal weed dealers, Pro-life advocates, Icelandic sluts, pretentious music snobs and old Navy buddies.

    No thanks.

    😆 😆

Well, nobody can ever say you aren’t diverse. 😆 That covered the gamut.

  294. I can see my Facebook friends page now.

Disgruntled corporate hacks, ex-jocks still singing glory days, spurned ex-girlfriends, pandering TV evangelists, fat girls from the 30th high school reunion, old neighbors in my parents neighborhood still accusing me of juvenile delinquency, high school losers you’d soon forget, blog stalkers who I’ve mocked, a couple of porn sites, my medical school alma mater which I didnt’ graduate, crazy aunt, Poolman, my sister.

    No thanks…

  295. Lol. That cracked me up. Poolman even made the list. Just think of the power of Facebook. Our lists would combine the minute I accepted you as a friend.

  296. Oh Rabbit, I swear your my ex brother-in-law from a better day. Funniest man I ever met.

About 15 years go, we once traveled from Stillwater, OK, to the Rocky Mountains in his wife’s van, to meet our families who flew out, and had each other laughing so hard for 13 hours, we were punch drunk by the time we got there. Those were the best of times.

  297. The worst part would be checking my Mom’s shared friend list and finding her bantering with her new friends Poolman and Goonar the Icelandic slut. Talk about awkward.

Facebook would be like some alternative cover of the Sgt. Pepper’s Album becoming real and causing social anxiety 24/7.

  298. Goonar… 😆 Did she cry out in that Icelandic accent, “Explode in Goonar!”

I’ll have to tell you the story of my roommate banging this shag one night in the fraternity house. Either they were too drunk to realize I was in the top bunk, or they didn’t care that I was in the top bunk.

Ms. Shag yelled out is this banshee scream a few minutes into the tryst, “Explode in me!!!!!!”, and I burst out laughing with the pillow shoved in my mouth to try and muffle the noise.

The bed quit squeaking for about 10 seconds, then resumed but there wasn’t anymore outbursts….until the end. Guess he exploded.

  299. Dennis Miller is one funny man.

Miller says there’s so many mixed signals coming from the White House coaching staff to the advisers after Hillary called Syrian President Assad “a reformer”, and that Clapper moron, who called the Muslim Brotherhood “secular”, that from now on, Obama’s cabinet will be wearing football helmets to interview, complete with radio antenna so they can audible during conversation. 😆

  300. Yay, most of the weeds are gone! Always a satisfying task. I can’t stand spraying weeds, but all my neighbors do. They even offered to do mine. No thanks. There is plenty of poison already in the soil, I’m not contributing. Besides, there is gratification with pulling them out by their roots.

Funny facebook stuff. I guess it can be scary with that many skeletons in the closet. I think I’ve dealt with all of mine. I have spent plenty of time on FB. I got 3 exgirlfriends friended. Having lived as many places as I have, I got friends of about every persuasion. Quite a diverse group, really. I don’t think they would all get along at a party, though.

My mom is there, though she can’t figure out how it works and hasn’t posted a profile pic in 3 years.

Not all get to be friended. Some have even been unfriended. There are so many ways to set up a profile now and keep some as aquaintances, sharing only some of your stuff. There are some requesting to be friended that I have to just click ignore. Who cares if we have 6 friends in common or you look like a Penthouse pet? I don’t know you or question your motives. People come out of the woodwork. It’s interesting. Just start commenting on someone’s post and it can be quite a fenzy.

Many don’t know what to think of my posts. Some are very interesting and post really interesting stuff. I have a bunch of artist friends that it’s fun to see their latest works. It is a multi-cultural stew really, and from all over the globe.

Of course I don’t operate differently among different groups so no chance I’ll get caught being someone I’m not. 😎

  301. Facebook can indeed be awkward as you learn things about relatives that you might not have wanted to know (like your nephew got plastered last night).

On the other hand, Facebook has allowed me to enjoy some off the board conversations with Fakename2, Ticklebug (an old veteran WP Political blogger) and the late great Hippie Professor. When it comes to social media used for business, I’m still a bit skeptical about Facebook. Twitter and LinkedIn are different animals.

Yup Tex, you’ve become an old fart. 🙂

P.S. Regarding Kindle vs Nook, I can’t swear to it, but I think Kindle has more titles available. Nook is also more expensive I think.

  302. *fenzy*=frenzy
    Si, friend, si…
    A real friend see.

Facebook is an interesting media. I have LinkedIn and Classmates profiles. Just the basics with them. With FB you could spend a ton of time online. I get news from various sources regarding topics some friends are on the pulse of. It generally gets picked up and posted on the wall. I don’t do all the games and bs that is all over that media. Man, there are some idiot apps. Farmville 😕

  303. I’ll have to tell you the story of my roommate banging this shag one night in the fraternity house. Either they were too drunk to realize I was in the top bunk, or they didn’t care that I was in the top bunk.” – Tex

LOL. I was in this Navy school and I had just gotten to the school. The drinking age was 18 in San Diego on the bases for military (trying to keep the youts out of TJ) and we had gone to this base club and got trashed.

Well, while at the club- drinking of all things Zima (thank God my pallet has matured!!!)- the Nine Inch Nails song Closer comes on and I, being the music lover that I am, sing loudly to every word. Of course I did this not thinking of how it might be perceived by the fellow female sailor sitting in my lap at the time.

So we finally make our way back to the barracks- huge open bay barracks sleeping about 150- where the females sleep on the second floor and the males are on the ground floor. I find my hole and sink into it peacefully and content.

The next morning, one of the other sailors sleeping in the barracks starts asking loudly, “Who’s Gorilla? Who the fuck is Gorilla?” Apparently, this young female sailor had come down into our barracks naked and was wandering the floor screaming, “Gorilla! Gorilla!”

I slept through the entire episode.

    Damn Zimas…

  304. Zima, huh? 🙂 We had to settle for warm beer at $2.00 a pitcher, smelling of stale cigarettes and soap suds. Looking back, I doubt the pitchers had been washed thoroughly since they were new. Dunking counted as washing in those places.

My roommate brought “home” some of the damnedest women to ever walk on a college campus I wouldn’t exactly call his “girls” the marrying type either, and from the banshee screams, I doubt they were majoring in organic chemistry or nuclear engineering, but who knows.

I do remember one of the girl’s names, though. Tamara Pons. How can you forget a name like that? She was a “dancer” – pole type.

  305. Pole dancing eh… You know you’ve seen it all when pole dancing becomes a fitness fad. Who knew working it could be so hip?!

  306. It’s worse than that Gorilla. That pole dancing is supposed to have a “Christian” message mixed in. 😆 I kid you not.

I watched them interviewing the dimwit who dreamed it up. She looked like a professional “pole dancer” by the way, and when the lady from the church asked her, “Do you really think this is appropriate to be mixed with Christ’s message?”, the “dancer” snarled, “Don’t you know that’s it’s not right to judge!!!!”

I had to laugh out loud, thinking she’s got to be a liberal – that just rolled off the lips too easily. If she could just heal with the touch with a ‘Praise the Lawd’, she’d be the cuter version of Tammy Faye Baker.
